Welcome to the Hale Alaula guest cottage! Hale Alaula means "House of early morning light and evenings' last glow." Hale Alaula is an authentic beachfront plantation estate built in the 1930s. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom, guest cottage is newly remodeled and features vintage Hawaiian decor, a living room, a dining room, a small kitchen, and a large lanai that looks out over a large, manicured lawn. Enjoy ocean views from the master bedroom, living and dining rooms as well as the lanai.
As you relax on the Hale Alaula Estate in Kekaha, Kauai you will be surrounded by warm tropical breezes, swaying palm trees, crystal clear blue skies and the calming sound of the ocean lapping on the shore - you will feel as if you are living in a postcard. Relax in the comfortable adirondack chairs at the edge of over 300 feet of secluded beach front on the Hale Alaula Estate.
Revel in the panoramic view of the West Coast view of Kauai and the Forbidden Island of Niihau off in the distance. This is the perfect place to watch sunsets from the covered lanai or from anywhere on the palatial, manicured lawns. At night the abundance of stars against the velvety black sky, create a world of imagination and awe of their own.
During the day, lounge in the oversized hammock or enjoy swimming, surfing, diving and sport-fishing, all located within walking distance of the Hale Alaula Estate vacation rental. The Kekaha small boat harbor is located just off the property and is an ideal place to watch the "local boys" bring in their daily "catches" or charter a sightseeing boat to watch the Humpback whales (December thru April) or tour the famous and breathtaking NaPali Coast.
For your added enjoyment and relaxation, you are invited to take a dip in our fresh water swimming pool or use the custom-tiled, wet steam room. Both the pool and wet steam room are just steps from the Hale Alaula Guest Cottage vacation rental, looking out towards the ocean.
