The flat was wonderful - it was just as beautiful as the photos. It was very clean and comfortable with lovely furnishings. Everything we needed to make our stay easy was provided. Comfortable robes, slippers, French toiletries and our favorite Nespresso machine with plenty capsules. The neighborhood has every convenience - several small groceries and markets - and lovely Boulangerie/ patisseries. The location was easy to walk from to get all around Paris We will definitely recommend the property to our friends - the owner was so easy to work with - and we hope to return and stay longer next time!!! It was an amazing way to visit the city - we loved our "home" in the Marais while we were there.

What an incredible way to welcome in the New Year! Our 10 days in the Art Flat were heaven. Some highlights from our stay: - A 'sugar walk' of the Marais through 'La Cuisine' where we discovered many tasty 'Patisseries' that we returned to many mornings - French wine tasting in an underground wine cave through 'O'chateau' - Day trip to Normandy... Incredible! - Delicious meals, especially at 'l'Avant Comptoir', 'Spring' and 'Frenchie'. Highly recommend! But most of all, we loved returning to the Art Flat, which feels like home. Perfect place for your Parisian getaway

My wife and I stayed there the first week in December 2012 and we couldn't have asked for a better place to be our home base. The apartment is exactly as pictured on the photos. Actually, it may actually be a little better in real life, as they can't show you how serene the overall experience is. It has everything you need that you could possibly need for a short term stay. Its location is wonderful. The best meal of our trip was at a restaurant less than a quarter mile away and there is something for everyone. Bars, clubs, grocery stores, art, theaters. There are several metro stations in close proximity and Notre Dame and the Seine river is about a 10 minute walk. I could go on and on about how convenient the location was. The owner, Marco, is very professional and helpful. He's thought of everything and is willing to go out of his way to help you. As a business owner and property owner, it is very nice to deal with someone who knows what they're doing. I have no hesitation in recommending art flat to anyone looking for an apartment in Paris. I know I will be telling friends and associates about it.

We leace Art Flat and Paris, very well rested and certainly well fed. The apartment has every possible comfort we needed. (We really loved the heated towel rack.) Favorites in the 'hood' include: 'Le Coude Fou' on rue de Bourg Tibourg, 'Patissier Victor' on rue Rambuteau and for a special meal: the tasting menu at 'La Gaigne'. A nice surprise was using the Nintendo audio guide at the Louvre. It really brings all the art to life. All in all, it was a wonderful honeymoon in Paris.

Our week at Art Flat was wonderful. The pace itself was even better than described, and in an absolutely perfect neighborhood for our needs. Marco was a great host and made us feel immediately welcome. Paris has more to offer than one can take in in a week, but we felt we got the most out of our time here. We will certainly recommend the flat and a like experience to anyone considering a trip to Paris. Thanks for the memories.

Beautiful Marais Apartment

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for several weeks in October, 2012. We loved the location in the Marais - on a quiet street that overlooks a park, and close to everything. The apartment is newly renovated, and perfectly set up to provide everything we needed, from the Nespresso coffee maker to Paris guidebooks, and everything in between. The owner and his greeter were easy to work with, and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfect in every way - even arranging a car to the airport for us. The kitchen and bathroom are really nice and the bed is super comfy - important, after a long day of sightseeing in Paris. We'll be back for sure.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great Stay in the Marais!

The Art Flat was a perfect place for our one week stay in Paris. It's a modern place with everything a travelling couple could need. Marco is a great host. He met us when we arrived (which was late Saturday night) and checked-in (via email) a few days later to see that we were well-settled. He has a great attention to detail and it's noticeable the moment you enter the flat. In addition, the flat is very well-located being in close walking distance to museums, restaurants, shopping, etc. as well as transportation (ie metro, veleb, etc.). We will definitely recommend this flat to family and friends... as long as they aren't planning on being there when we return.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at Art Flat for a long week-end in March and we were absolutely delighted with our sejour. Art Flat is immaculately appointed and extremely light with very large windows overlooking a church. The building itself is beautiful and the location is central Marais, we could walk everywhere. Marco was fast at answering all our queries and we were greeted with warm croissants, fresh flowers and even a complimentary bottle of wine - what more could we ask for! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Art Flat to friends. Perfect for a luxury romantic getaway.

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I have been to Paris several times but I must say this was my best experience staying at Marco's place. The flat looks great in the photos but it was actually even better in real. It is so chic that me and my Parisian friends who works in fashion, music, art industries we all LOVED the place. And what a location! It is right in the heart of Marais and it can't be better than this. I am right in the center of the most chic town in Paris where I have all the bars and restaurants close by, but it is so quiet in the flat that I felt like I was staying in the residencial only area. The flat had lots of windows, makes it all sunny and bright during the day time. There is no building right in front of the flat where all the windows are, so not only I was able to enjoy a nice wide-open view but I had a real good privacy. The flat had everything inside. I mean literally everything. From a kitchen to a toilet, I did not have to buy anything. Selection of Nespresso capsule coffees was perfect for me as I am a coffee lover and did not have to worry about getting it while staying. It was very nice that there was a laundry detergent as I only needed once and did not have to buy the whole bottle. The queen sized bed was really comfortable, I was able to have a good sleep. The heating system worked like charm, and the italian shower felt so good. Fireplace in the living room was a big plus! What makes this flat even better was Marco himself. He responded very fast from booking, came in flat himself and greeted me nice and welcome. He also made a bible for the flat where I was able to find all the detailed information about the flat and surrounding areas. Marco hang his own art work in the flat and they were very good. He has very good sense of Art and built this flat with meticulous care. Lots of other flat in paris seems to have been built just to make money out of but in Marco's place, it was more than 5 star hotel experience. I was able to understand why Marco named it here as 'Art Flat' because this flat itself was a whole piece of art to me! Thanks to Marco for making my trip even better than it already was. I am definitely staying here again for my next visit to Paris..

I rented the flat for one week, and loved it so much I stayed an extra three nights. The owner was exceedingly friendly, professional, and helpful. The flat is very nicely furnished and equipped. The big shower was an added nice surprise. It's so nice to have a little park/playground across the street as it make the place bright and an open view. When I go back to Paris, I will hopefully be staying there.

This is a great apartment in the Marais. Our host, Marco, was extremely helpful. The flat was as advertised, quiet and tasteful. We (physician couple in our 50s / 60s) would not hesitate to rent this place again. We loved the quiet, the neighborhood, the location, and Marco's attention to detail. This is our best VRBO so far (two in Paris and two in Florence).

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at rue des Guillemites was splenid. The apartment was perfect for us. We loved having the space, the kitchen, free internet, free long distance phone and the many amenities too numerous to list. I loved the Nespresso machine and the induction plates. I stayed at the Art Flat for a week in the fall and had a great experience. The apartment was very well appointed (including a great kitchen), it has a lovely view and great light and of course is very very well located. I would very happily recommend staying here to any of my friends.

I'm finally getting around to reviewing this apartment, which we leased in late August. It has a good layout and great decor, with a very comfortable bed/quality bedding. We appreciated the sound system and large flat screen TV (with satellite), and well stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is walking distance to most tourist attractions (we even hoofed it to/from the Eiffel Tower & Sacre Coeur), and has lovely shops, bistros, and bars within a stone's throw. Very important to note is that this flat has good A/C, tho take care when using the combo W/D (it takes awhile and leaves clothes a bit wrinkled). Dealing with Marco (owner) was easy and professional, and would definitely stay again!

What a wonderful 9 days in Paris. We only wish that we had the time to spend another week before our house sitting obligations in Nantes. My son loved watching the playground and walking up the stairs. We had a routine of buying candy & espresso before Mom awakened. Lots of memories of the Jardins du Luxembourg, lunch at the eiffle tower at the Jules Verne. The area was spectacular with good bars, cool shopping and a fun bohemian vibe like South Beach meets Chelsea. What a better perspective of life in the 4th than in a stuffy hotel. Cheers!

I don't know what else to say except to echo what all the other reviewers have said about Art Flat. We stayed there for 7 days in June '11 and had a wonderful time. Marco was great when meeting in person, was very helpful in pointing out both the Flat's key features as well as the neighborhood and any other questions we had. He was also available via phone and email pretty much all the time. The flat itself is gorgeous. It was spotless and even had beautiful flowers, wine, crackers, and a full assortment of bath materials. The flat is fully stocked (or overstocked!) with everything you need for your stay, from pots and pans, to towels, to an iron, to cleaning supplies. Especially appreciated were the A/C (it was a hot few days in Paris!) and the washing machine/dryer without which we couldn't have had a two week vacation with just carry-on luggage. On top of it all, Marco showed us the "Flat Bible" which describes everything in the flat (including TV channels, how to use the washing machine, stove, A/C, etc!) and has pointers for food delivery, etc. Talk about totally destroying any equivalent hotel service or concierge. I loved every minute of it and will hope it's available next time I return to Paris.

Absolutely Perfect

This place really is a gem!! The photos depict exactly how the flat is. Marco was gracious enough to meet us upon our arrival and we found the flat spotlessly clean. In addition to the fresh flowers, the luxury bath items, the heavenly towels (I've never felt towels that plush!), the un petit coffee's for the espresso machine, to the loaf of bread, salad and wine that was provided we couldn't have asked for more (well - except maybe some fantastic french chocolates! Just kidding) The pop-up t.v and great sound system were a bonus. The place is flooded with light and each morning, I'd open up the large windows and peer out to the courtyard/play ground across the street which made me feel like a true Parisian! Another plus is the flat has a/c in the bedroom. Unfortunately we had weather in the 60-70's and didn't use it except the fan we kept on but this would definitely be beneficial if the temperatures were warmer. The flat's location is SUPERB and we found it very easy to traverse all of Paris. The subway is a short 5 minute walk near Hotel de Ville and Ile de Cite (the "island" which houses Notre Dame and Ste. Chappelle is another short 15 minute walk). Ste. Chappelle is a MUST see, the interior is so breathtaking beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Don't just walk in and take a picture, take a seat and soak it all in. Read up and have some background information on it before you visit, something I regret we didn't do because I overheard someone saying the stained glass depicts scenes from the beginning of creation. It's not just stained glass, there's an entire story behind the glass. The Marais district is eclectic and full of charming boutique shops. There are so many Bolangerie's, Pattisseries, chocolatiers and restaurants all within a block or two of the flat. If you're looking for a great vegetarian restaurant, La Potager du Marais, is a 10 minute walk and we had 2 fantastic meals here. (My husband, who's not a vegetarian thought his meals were excellent). We truly felt we had a true Parisian experience staying here and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends or stay here again. It was perfect.

Flawless. Why ever rent a hotel room? Marco was there to greet me then dissappeared, in a good way. The flat was great, spacious, great view and more central is not possible. The flat is quiet and the room gives the feel of modern France. Overall rating is way above average. Give it a try please you will not be dissappointed.

The Apartment was amazing, very easy to find and in the heart of the Marais! It had all the utilities we needed and more! Including a hairdryer and lots of books to read! The view from the windows is incredible! A real prime location! Loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to return!
