The Villa is a perfect place to get away and relax. We went to a differant beach every day and a few trails as well. There are many restaurants and markets close by. Shopping in Cruz Bay is a relatively short drive away. We had family and friends arriving and departing all week and Elisabeth was more than accomidating. Thank you for a great vacation!

This property is the perfect place to relax, take in the gorgeous view and enjoy the natural surroundings. You are very close to many restaurants, a market, and some live music if you're lucky! All of the beaches are close by as well as hiking trails. This is just a great to place to spend time with friends and family as there is plenty of space throughout . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, many thanks!

My husband and I were married on St. John, 17 years ago and returned with our 3 children and parents. The Adventure Villa was an exceptional oasis. It is built into the mountain with three layers of deckings and overlooks of Coral Bays. We enjoyed breakfast, reading, cocktails, rainbows from the beauty of the georgous views. The house comfortably sleeps 6 and the house is well-equipped with essentials. The house is well ventilated and tastifully decorated with art from around the world. The owner has a passion for gardening and the house is surrounded by hundreds of tropical plants/trees. We enjoyed a true St. John experience and would recommend the Villa to any one eager to relax and take in the beauty of the island.
Owner response:" It was a pleasure to welcome your happy family at Adventure villa. Thanks for taking so good care of it and thanks also for the useful & highly technical advices about the kind of fertilizers to use on the vegetable garden. You brought a lot of joy to St John" . Elisabeth

On the Today Show today there was a segment where pictures posted on the web for vacation places were false or misleading. THIS is not the case at Adventure Villa. The pictures on the website understate the beauty of the site....it is truly beautiful. The island is a unique jewel and the food in Coral Bay is great. We especially enjoyed breakfest at the Donkey Diner. The food and service is outstanding. Sit in the back with the locals and learn the island.

My family spent Christmas 2010 and New Year's at the villa. It was perfect for us. We have two teenage kids, a son (13) and a daughter (15). My mother and her boyfriend joined us as well. My mother and her friend chose the room on the main floor. My daughter stayed in the loft. My son chose the garden apartment, and my husband and I stayed in the guest house. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The views were wonderful. We would come back from a day on the beach or on the water, and continue enjoying beautiful views through sunset. There was a very nice grill, a small patio table with chairs outside where you could sit in the shade (and enjoy the view), and there were plenty of chaise lounges. We enjoyed the company of the three cats that live outside. The owner takes great care of the place. It was clean. The plants are beautiful. We hope to return there on our next trip to St John. Just a short drive away are a small market and some fine restaurants. We enjoyed Aqua Bistro and Shipwreck Landing the most. We also enjoyed a day sailing on the Long Distance, with a fine couple Rick and Robin and their dog Kiwi. They took us to some great snorkeling spots.

My family stayed at Adventure Villa in March. We enjoyed our stay although unfortunatly, it ended sour in dealing with the property owner. We are still waiting to have our full deposit refunded and we have received many unkind words in corresponding with the owner. The owner was upset that the caretaker provided our group with drinking water which was offered to us upon our arrival and also was listed on the web page as an ammenity included ( the web page has recently been changed and now does not state drinking water is included). After the fact, the owner also complained that our group was too big to have stayed at her villa although she agreed to the size of our group prior to arrival and accepted full payment for our group and charged for the additional members. Unfortunately, our wonderful time in St. John ended on a bad note - only in dealing with a less than pleasant owner who has yet to return our final deposit.
Owner response:These people came as a party of 12. Not my booking but another owner who rented her villa to them then sold her villa before their arrival. She asked me to welcome at my villa 8 guests from their party and she would find another lodging for the 4 other guests . But she didn't & we ended up "welcoming" 12 guests who used 2,000 gallons of water cistern and also required 10 gallons of drinking water delivery/day. The villa was OK when they left ... At that time , I was in Paris attending my mother's funeral. So I ended up paying my supervisor using my car for 12 hours of delivery + gasolin + cost of water. This was the first time guests were so demanding. I created Adventure villa as a dream house to share its beauty & peacefulness with tenants. Sincerely. Elisabeth

As we look down upon the moonlit, your home sitting atop this mountain makes us feel as we too are stars. Our week was so outstanding ! Your artwork was a window that you opened for us to enjoy. The landscaping was enjoyed by many including beautiful birds that would stop by. Your shower areas were fabulous. We would truely love to return. What a magical place this is !

The snorkelling was terrific, 5 turtles so far, squid, beautiful fishes & the reefs are full of swaying ferns & Corals. Off to dive today again. Thanks for the Adventure. We hope St John stays the same & it won't take us long to come back.

Thanks for a wonderful stay at Adventure. It was a great mix of sun & quick beautiful tropical downpours and then the chorus of the frogs. We loved watching from the deck the cuckoo eating the pappaya & the lazy chameleons displaying their crimson neck. What an heaven of wonderful fauna. I am a palm tree lover & the big beautiful palms off the deck were special to me. If it xwas cloudy, we found your living room very comfortable & in the sun we lived on the deck. What a great week

Dear Elisabeth, We really enjoyed being guests at your home. We enjoyed the views, the seclusion, the breezes & the ambiance of your home. We especially enjoyed the landscaped gardens. We are from South Dakota & have a small nursery so we appreciate what you have done. Again, we had a great time

Elisabeth, Bruce & I had a great time. The villa was fabulous. Being our first time in the VI, you made our trip one to remember. We are hoping to bring a group with us next time. Bruce took amazing photos of the plants in bloom. Your photos on the website are the real thing.
