Amazing vacation!

Everything about our trip, from our first communication with the owner, to our good bye trip to the airport on the day we left, well exceeded our expectations! Not only is Isla Mujeres a perfect paradise, the condo was immaculate, beautifully decorated, cozy, well equipped and maintained. Did I mention the view? Overlooking the beautiful beach and blue, blue water, spectacular sunsets right from the balcony...what more could you want? Everything was within walking distance, the restaurants were wonderful, the islanders so friendly and most of all, we felt safe. There are a lot of vendors both on the beach and in the streets, but hey, it's Mexico...so you come to expect being asked 40 times if you want Cuban cigars or t-shirts. Everyone needs to make a living, right? I must say, the vendors were not pushy...a simple "no gracias" was sufficient. Renting a golf cart for a day or two is a must. We enjoyed a full day exploring the island, (the ocean side is spectacular). We highly recommend the sunset cruise by Induca Charters (see Trip advisor for this information) The beach was so clean, and there was always someone on hand to move your chair, get you a drink or bring you lunch. We have stayed everywhere in Quinta Roo...and the Ixchel condo on Isla is the first place we've said "let's come back here!" One thing to bear in mind: this particular condo has its own management company. If you need something, like a taxi, the front desk is not allowed or able to help you. You are given a cell phone to get in touch with representatives from a separate company. Or, you can do like we did...wing it and explore and figure things out on your own. Thank you, Clyde, for giving us the opportunity to call your beautiful condo our home for a week. Next time, were coming for 2 weeks!

This Condo is Awesome!!

We (family of 4) stayed in unit 409/410 for 8 nights in the middle of July 2012 and found this condo to be very spacious and nicely decorated with truly the best ocean view on the island. The white sandy beach is just a few steps away when you exit the Ixchel tower. This condo came stocked with everything you could possibly need or want- kitchen supplies, cooler, pool toys for the kids, DVD movies, IPOD docking stations, electric grill out on the balcony, beach towels, etc. Clyde’s pictures do not do this place and it's awesome views justice, even the view from the master bath shower was incredible. The cleaning staff were very friendly and professional and offered great advice to several really good out of the way local places to eat. It was nice to have the internet phone and we used it quite a bit while on the island to call back to the states (for free). We have stayed at other places while on Isla Mujeres in the past and I must say that the beds in this unit were VERY comfortable, most places in Mexico, for some reason the beds are hard as a rock- not in Clyde’s unit. The beach right outside of this condo is easily one of the best beaches we have ever experienced and is really nice for kids. Overall I would rate this unit a 10 out of 10 and our family will definitely be back.

We very much recommend Isla and staying in this Ixchel Condo. Everything was perfect and what we expected. The staff at the condo were very friendly and provided any assistance requested. The view from the unit is gorgeous. The beach is very pretty, chairs and umbrellas provided at no charge, and beach service for refreshments very affordable. The people in Isla are very friendly and knew our family within the first day or so. We snorkeled one day, toured the island on a golf cart another, and the highlight was the day spent swimming with the whale sharks. We are already planning our return trip and will stay in this unit again. Recommended.

Had a super stay at Ixchel condo 410. It is right on the end with a wrap around balcony and a wonderful view of the beach and water. The owner's staff in Isla was great! The suite was large and very clean and well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed-even an ice chest for the beach.We are looking at renting both 409/410 next May. Thanks again for a great stay.

This was our 2nd trip to Isla AND Clyde's unit. I HIGHLY recommend!!! Clyde and the Mundaca group are great. PERFECT location to everything. Amazing views, beautiful condo, best beach, walk to great food. Very laid back, beach vacation. GO!!!

Returned for our 2nd stay in Clyde's unit. Just as we remembered...clean, well-appointed, easy check-in...most importantly, beautiful oceanfront unit with awesome balcony. Hang out on the front of the balcony and you feel like you are all on your own. Great choice for a laid-back vacation in the sun with great food and local charm. Highly recommend....GO!!!

Great Condo on Playa Norte

My family stayed in units 409/410 the week of 4/5. The units were very clean and well kept. As promised, we were contacted by Will, who met us at the dock and made sure we got to Ixchel and checked into our rooms. We have visited Isla several times, but this was our first staying on Playa Norte. The unit has a beautiful view of the beach and water. Fishing was tremendous, caught Tuna, Wahoo, and Sailfish while we were there. Perfect weather!. We will definitely be back. Thanks Clyde. Dave and Julie

This was our first stay on Isla and Ixchel was definitely the right location - easy walking access to bars, restaurants and shopping. Unit 410 was absolutely beautiful - spectacular view and literally right on the beach. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

What can I say, 3rd time back to the same unit, same owner, says it all !!! The whole rental experience on Clyde's unit was excellent from start to finish ! With the links provided by Clyde the arrival experience was slick and easy, from the waiting taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal, to the waiting representative at the Isla terminal and porter waiting to take our bags to the condo. The condo is everything it was advertised to be, and as seen on-line. The big wrap-around balcony provides a stunning view of the gulf and gorgeous sunsets. This clearly is one of the top units at Ixchel and would also be one of the best on the island. For those unfamiliar with Isla, the condo building is a short walk to Hidalgo St, which is simply full of great restaurants where you can get any type of food you want, from Mexican, to North American, Italian, and French, and I'd suggest that you venture off Hidalgo as well as there are many great restaurants on the side streets. I'd highly recommend the Sunset Grill just down the beach, where the food is a "touch above". Elements is a must for Breakfast or lunch, as is Burlito's. Rolandi's is great for Italian, and Olivias is justly rated one of the top two restaurants on the island. This is a great place for folks of all ages, from families with children to couples looking for a getaway break or for seniors. The island is very safe as crime is basically non-existant and banking access is easy and nearby in a number of locations. Good snorkeling locally at Garafon a couple of miles away, and snorkeling and dive trips are available from the island , as are fishing charters. The beach is beautiful with easy entry to the water and you can wade out quite some distance if you desire.

Gorgeous Location and Great for Families with Young Children!

Our family of 6 (2 adults, kids 11, 6, 4 & 2) stayed at Clyde's condo in Feb. Clyde was very responsive & helpful. The balcony was a concern & Clyde was honest about the potential for danger based on the faulty design. He said he had installed netting & it ended up being fine although definitely a source of stress in the beginning. The location couldn't be better! The beach was gorgeous, the bay area is somewhat sheltered from the big waves & chairs/service were plentiful. The resort was very nice. It was safe & clean, the kids loved the pool & there was no late night music from the neighboring disco (located directly below this unit). The unit was perfect for our family. The kids had their own bedroom, bathroom, TV & fridge & we had our own space. The master bedroom is huge! There is a wonderful sliding door to the balcony & a huge picture window that looks directly out to the bay. The kitchen was small but had everything. The condo was very clean, furniture was relatively new, the beds were VERY comfortable & there was tons of seating on the balcony. "Negatives" - you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on at the ground level. When the workers came out in the a.m. to clean the pool & rake the beach it would scare me - sounded like they were on our balcony! Also, too bad that the picture window in the master wouldn't open. You really couldn't hear the waves very well from the side sliding door. Couldn't get the VOIP to work but the WiFi was good enough! The condo was cleaned everyday. We expected once a week so it was nice to have the sand swept up daily & fresh towels but it also a little tedious to leave at 9:00 a.m. so she could clean. For most people this would be desired but pretty hard with 4 young ones to get out the door early. We take a Caribbean vacation every year & this destination & condo rates very highly on our list of destinations to visit more than once. Great value, nice/large condo, beautiful location, quaint town, gorgeous beach & water, yummy food - what more could you ask for?

Our stay was remarkable. The view, the beach and Lilo made our stay most pleasant Clyde was very helpful in giving us the information we needed to get to Isla from the airport. The restaurants and shopping are only a few blocks away. The service on the beach was great as well. Thanks for a great place to enjoy our vacation and look forward to next year

We stayed 8 days. We were told that this was like a hotel room with no balcony and had a very little view. We got there and boy were we surprised. There was a good view of the beach and water from the window. It overlooked the pool also. The room was large and it had a microwave and small refrigerator. For us, it was perfect. We usually eat a large breakfast out and a meal about 2/3 pm. Then snack at night. The room was very close to the beach and the people were very helpful to get an umbrella. We were very close to the main shopping and eating areas.The room was on the north end of the island and on the beach. It was also centrally located. The staff for these rooms were excellent. If we needed something, we left a note and it was there! .

Superb Rental - Superb Service

We travel to Isla Mujeres every year and have stayed at a different rental each time. Our stay at this condo was beyond great it was superb! The location made it easy to walk to all the restaurants (one of the reasons we return every year is the fabulous food) and easy access to shopping in the downtown area. A quick taxi ride took us to our favorite snorkeling area every day and when we didn't feel like shopping or snorkeling we just played in the water right in front of the condo. This condo has a very nice kitchen for the times we ate in and a comfortable and beautifully decorated living room to sit and relax in. The bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom with its spacious shower was a pleasant surprise for a rental. The manager Lilo, assisted us from the beginning of our stay and having him as a contact was very reassuring if we had any issues, which I am happy to say, we did not. Clyde the owner was extremely helpful when it came to my planning our trip, down to which transportation company to use to shuttle us to and from the airport in Cancun. Every part of this experience was wonderful and we look so forward to getting the same location next year when we return. Sande & Peter - Whidbey Island, WA

The Perfect Home On the Perfect Island

To say our vacation here was great, amazing, fantastic, etc. doesn’t quite describe how good of a time my mom and I had on our girls' getaway. I would even go so far as saying it’s one of the best vacations I've ever had and I consider myself a beach vacation veteran. We were so sad to leave and are already planning when we can come return. The condo itself was perfect – the beachfront location on the island's best beach, the large wrap around deck, the extra space for us to each have privacy, the close proximity to town and the personalized service were exactly what we were looking for. Plus having Lilo as our own personal island resource was a tremendous added perk. To be able to have a trusted source for activities, dining and just overall questions made us feel right at home instantly and it was clear he genuinely wanted us to have the absolute best time possible. Lilo quickly got a sense for what kind of travelers we were and steered us toward those activities that we would most enjoy and he was spot on every single time. Further, as single women traveling alone, having someone we could call or text at anytime to assist us gave us an added sense of security. I can’t say enough good things about the condo, Ixchel and the team who takes cares of you – it all makes the perfect island location even more perfect. We will definitely be back and have already referred some friends.

Clyde, I want to thank you for letting our family use your rental, it was fabulous. We found the rooms/accomodations to be everthing you advertised and more, the location and views were the best on the island. Even though our flight was delayed more than an hour and phone services to Isla disrupted, Will (the manager of your units) was at the ferry dock faithfully waiting for us holding a large sign with our name on it ready to take us to our rooms and paradise. Will was very accomodating and even carried our luggage up to our rooms for us refusing any type gratuity for his sevive, a very nice person. As I've said the rooms were perfect and the maid service was excellent with the trash removed and beach towels changed daily along with any other needs we may of had along with a full in depth cleaning and towel/bedding change every third day, very nice. Now Lilo's services as our contact person for any and everything cannot be understated as he provided for our every need in a most expedient and cost efective way from provideing golf carts right to our door step to the most wonderful Whale shark/Isla Contoy tour one could ever hope for. Lilo was just great. One other point I would like to add is that the beach front bar/umbrella&lounge service was also excellent and they did not require a "voucher" to cover the tab but let us just run a tab for our unit number and their service and honesty were beyond reproach. In short it was a wonderful experience and we can recomend without reserve that those who book through you will nor be dissapointed.

A Perfect Family Vacation!

We had an incredible week on Isla Mujeres, with the first 4 nights in this wonderful oceanfront unit. The location on Isla is perfect - a wonderful beach and just a block from the action on Hidalgo street. The management company took very good care of us, and it was nice to have that security of knowing they were there if we had any problems. We had our 9 and 11 year old daughters with us, and they had a great time with other kids who were staying there, and all the parents loved the atmosphere for the kids. The beach is amazing - 200 yards out into crystal clear water and it's still just waist deep - and the kids loved the lack of waves. Highly recommend buying mangos from the "mango lady" at the corner of Hidalgo, and bought pastries for breakfast from the "bread lady" on her cart as we came home from dinner each night. Thanks, Clyde, for all you did to help us. We hope to be back soon!

Hi Clyde Wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time in Isla Mujeres. The condo is beautiful and the beach is perfect, the nicest beach we have been to in Mexico. We both loved the town and everywhere we ate. Lilo was great, and could not have been more helpful. He came by every morning to check on us and see if we needed anything. When we asked about a golf cart he took care of everything, brought it to the condo for us and returned it the next day. We have vacationed all over Mexico and Isla Mujeres is definitely one of our favorites. Thank you for all your help Jim & Lisa

We had a great time. The view from the condo is very beautiful and the wrap around deck is great for moving into the perfect location to be in or out of the sun, in or out of the wind. Restaurants are a block away so it makes for a relaxing jaunt to dinner each night. Nice to have memory foam on the beds as well as the phone line to the US as our cell phones were not set up for Mexico. Our daughters joined us after we had been there four days so we rented the second adjoining bedroom and bath. A great layout.

Perfect location

THe condo was just as we had hoped and more. Very comfortable and well-maintained with a great bathroom and the best wrap-around porch ever! We watched the fishing boats go out in the morning and the sun set at night. CLose to everything - we walked to restaurants and to the little Catholic CHurch in the central square. The carnival was just starting the week-end we left and there was alot of dancing and singing in the streets as well as great costumes. People are very nice and do their best to communicate with you when you can't speak Spanish. Lilo, from the management company was great, just the right amount of help and would have done more for us if we needed. Olivia's restaurant was very good - not Mexican fare. Take a snorkeling trip on one of the smaller fishing boats, lunch which included fresh grilled fish and all equpment for $35. Great deal. THis is a wonderful, laid back place to vacation and I will be back!

Good morning, Clyde. Fishing was off the chain. In three days our boat landed 121 sails and we had shots at +100 more. It was the best billfish angling that I have ever been a part of. My husband and I fell in love with Isla Mujeres and CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!!! The people, the food, the gorgeous ocean, the activities, the EVERYTHING!!!! Getting on that ferry to return was soooo depressing!!!! Your condo is lovely, comfortable, and by far located on the best beach on the island with the best staff!!! (Loved Angel!) The wrap around balcony...the best spot for viewing the sunsets, and the MB views..... breathtaking!!!! Donna and Savannah were awesome... loved them both and wish I had their jobs::)) The transfers to and from the airport went very smoothly as well. The only hitch was the threat of hurricane Paula and the Voip phone not working to call home. Seriously, we are trying to figure a way to someday live there::)) Thank you so much Clyde for the extremely awesome accomodations from which to explore the lovely Isla Mujeres.

The listing description and photos accurately describe this unit---WONDERFUL. The owner is very helpful and called us several times while we were there to see how things were going and to see if we needed anything. Donna, the manager, provided us with cell phones to use and we could call her if we needed anything or to book an excursion. The condo is clean, decorative and makes you feel at home. The pool is great and the beach must be the best around based upon all the people who come there, either by foot or boat, who don't even stay there. Peaceful. Highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants to relax and have fun.

The Best Place on Playa Norte!

The accommodations were excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better room, a better view, better service... everything was perfect. The condo is in the perfect location - on the beach and only one block from the center of the "action" on the island. Isla Mujeres has a great island vibe, with tons of great restaurants and most of the amenities a small town has to offer. We brought the kids and my mother-in-law, and these two units fit the five of us well. We could even entertain, there is so much space. The condo is very family-friendly, with a shallow pool, a nice sandy beach, hamburgers available poolside, and the waiters come down to the beach. The staff is friendly and will provide pretty much anything you need upon request. There is a supermarket on the island, and the kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes and cookware. We cruised the island on a golf cart - they are available to rent everywere. After seeing other places to stay, we know we had the best spot. Playa Norte is the place to be, and this condo had the best set up on that part of the island. We found houses that were cheaper on the south side, but the beaches are rocky and you have to drive to get to good restaurants, shops etc. The Schmidts have the place set up so you feel right at home. There are movies, wi fi, comfortable beds, and the units are cleaned every day. Ten thumbs up!

WOW!!! I can sum up our whole trip in that 1 word...WOW. From the time we stepped off of the plane till we boarded to go home....the service was awesome. We used the shuttle service that Clyde recommended and they treated us like royals. They were quick and courteous. We definitely give them an A+++++. The condo was spectacular. Clean and spacious. We had everything we needed and more. The Comono staff made great food and drinks. We LOVED the restaurants on the strip. The Bamboo is a must! Rent agolf cart and ride around the whole island. We had such a great time that we're already planning to return. Thanks again Clyde! See you soon!

We can't thank you enough Clyde for all your help and our stay in your wonderful Condo! We were there February 24 - March 3, 2010. What a perfect place to stay! The balcony and the view are awesome!! Your condo is decorated beautifully! We stayed at the Ixchel last year also, and cannot imagine staying anywhere else. We used USA transfer and they were right there waiting for us both times. We love everything about Isla. It is so beautiful, the food is wonderful, and seeing is Island on golfcarts is so much fun. Some of our group were first timers to Isla, and everyone loved it and we all shall return there time and time again. Thanks again Clyde for all your help with booking and for sharing your beautiful home with us!

My husband and I loved Condo Unit 410 - the most amazing suite with a wrap around balcony and a view that takes your breathe away (VRBO - owner Clyde who obviously has a wife with great taste as this unit is decorated beautifully). With the unkindness of the east coast winter weather we missed our connecting flight and arrived very late in the evening. With the help of USA Transfers (easy to arrange reservations on the internet) we were able to make the last 11:30 pm ferry arriving to the Island. We were treated so wonderfully by the two gentlemen at the front desk - get this- they went out at midnight to get a 6 pack of beer for us and delivered it to our room because nothing was opened and I really needed one. So Cool! Positives: The most beautiful beach on Isla - amazing service - always clean rooms, fresh dinking water in your room and clean beach towels - clean gorgeous swimming pools. There is a laundry room available, however, just around the corner are laundry services - they are very reasonable. We enjoyed walking to the Sunset Grill just yards from the beach-great swing bar and good food as well as entertainment. Rented a golf cart ($40.00 daily)- be sure to explore the entire island. Breakfast at Mango Cafe is to die for. Bally Hoo is a marina restaurant downtown with great drinks, sunsets and breakfast. Jax on the corner of Playa Norte is fun - good food and entertainment, On Hildago Street: Faynes for great Mojitos and lobster - stop in at the Patio ...just walk thru their doorway and the restaurant is a beach...amazing. Fun nightlife...go to Miguels ( Two locals on electric guitars...request that they play some ZZ Top - they are good - even better after several servezas), Negatives: None. I am supposed to write loud Disco music at Chimbos but they only had a little music going on Friday night and we never heard from them again. We did lots in one week (minus the lost day at Newark Airport) and we shopped around and looked at other hotels around the island. Nothing compares to Ixchel and I am already planning next years vacation.....going back to Ixchel!

Clyde,Thanks again for sharing your beautiful Isla home with us. Another perfect trip!For anyone considering staying at Ixchel 409/410, two words: DO IT! You will have no regrets! This beautiful condo, and its amazing 4th floor, wrap around balcony is second-to-none! Location is perfect, right on Isla’s beautiful Playa Norte and everything you need is within walking distance - including great food and drinks. Ixchel staff – from the front desk to the beach waiters - are wonderful and accommodating. And, be sure to reserve a golf cart and venture out for a day to see the whole Island. Some of our favorite spots: Punta Sur (pay the few bucks and walk all the way out and climb down for the most amazing views), the turtle farm, lunch at Casa Os and Rolandi’s; drinks at Villa La Bella B&B and Las Brisas. And perhaps our most favorite is visiting Maggie and Greg at La Gloria English School to drop off school supplies for the local children. We’re already booked for October and I hope to be back again next February!

This is long overdue. We stayed at Ixchel 11/29-12/6 and it was absolutely PERFECT! Clyde, you were a pleasure to deal with from the very beginning and be assured we will contact you as soon as we can return to Isla (hoping sooner rather than later!). Clyde's unit was unavailable but he made arrangements for us in two units directly below (307/308 and 309/310) which were ideal for our group of 10. The beach is being rebuilt (a little murky there due to the process but not a problem) and the location is ideal to everything you need on Isla. Thank you Clyde for your awesome help and we will be happy to refer any friends on to you if they want to see the paradise that is Isla.

My husband and I were married on Isla mujeres in 2008 and we couldn't have chosen a better place for the wedding. The Ixchel was perfect for our families and for our needs. The staff was very accommodating and wonderfully friendly. We had some issues with the hot tub (it never worked), but we resolved this little hiccup satisfactorily with the Ixchel's manager. We had a total of 90 people attend the wedding and everyone is still raving about the island, the beaches, the food and the people. Those who stayed with us at the Ixchel all said they were absolutely thrilled with their accommodations. The rooms were beautiful, the views were breathtaking and the staff made everyone feel like this was their wedding too. (They made me feel like an absolute princess). We booked all the accommodations for our families and friends through Clyde Schmidt. His contact information is: builders@midwest.net He was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly helpful, patient and attentive to our needs. We had a virtually stress-free wedding and much of it was thanks to his help with the hotel and reservations for ourselves and our many guests. We are very much looking forward to another trip to Isla and we will be in contact with him if we have the means to stay at Ixchel again.

Clyde - It is with pleasure I send this email so anyone else looking to rent with you can read. First of all, I would like to say that from our first conversation you have been more than patient and kind. Even though you were not able to place me in your unit for the dates I needed, you did everything within your power to find us the best possible unit to rent. (This is even after we had an issue renting a unit thru Hotels/com)You are a true professional. You followed up with me, advised me I was going to have a reservation issue when I arrived, emailed the property directly and then booked me in a unit much better (and cheaper) than the one I booked directly thru Hotels/com. We have not even made our trip to Isla yet, but knowing exactly what is in store for us when we arrive sure does make it even more exciting! Thank you again for your outstanding customer service - it is a rare treat! Anyone thinking about booking with you should be greatful to have you on their side! Thanks again! Kimberlee Ewing

We arrived at 12:30 am and check in took about 2 minuites. The place was spot less clean and very well decorated and the view fron the wrap around balcony was fantastic. The balcony had 14 chairs on it with plenty of room left over. Our stay was perfect without one single problem. Thanks again Clyde.

Dear Clyde,We had a wonderful time in Isla!! Your condo is just perfect. I stayed in the king suite and felt like I was VERY important. I loved the lights on the palm tree, all the decorations, the huge bathroom, all the drawers and the pretty bed. And of course the view from that room is unbelievable! The balcony is fabulous – I am so glad we stayed in your oceanfront unit. I cannot wait to go back. We were feeling totally spoiled with each of us having our own bedroom and bathroom. And everyone at Ixchel was very friendly and helpful.We rented a golf cart on two days and explored the island. I had this great map of Isla with all the places to see, and so we saw a lot! We went to Garrafon de Castilla for snorkeling, Punta Sur, Playas Indios and Lancheros, Conch Shell Beach, the Conch Shell House, the cemetery, and the Super Express grocery store – and they were all an adventure! I had fresh squeezed oj from the market, we ate at Pizza Rolandi’s, Villa Rolandi, Casa O’s, Zamas Beach Club, Sunset Grill, and Buho’s. We also got up early every morning and took walks around town and saw something new there every day. I think I have fallen in love with Isla. Thanks so much for all your help on making our trip a perfect one!!!Sheila Green

What can I say? The condo is perfection, the view, the wrap around balcony, completely equipped and beautifully decorated. We snorkeled with Lorenzo. We had dinner every night in town - as a family this was a highlight - where can you get such perfect atmosphere and service? We never tired of the food or choosing new restaurants. The beach, the pool - met lots of friendly folks at the pool - all so much fun, so interesting. We were pretty laid back and really needed a few more days to plan a few more sight seeing events - 10 days would have been great! It was just hard to pull ourselves away from the beach. Weather was perfect!!! Thank you so much! We will be back!

This unit is in a perfect location. It is very comfortable with a wonderful wrap around terrace. Nice sunny pool with easy beach access. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. We have been to Isla many times and were very happy with this condo. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Clyde, I stayed in your 409/410 condo with six other women - all relatives, and I can't say enough about the place. We've stayed in many different places on the island and this by far was the best - even better than Secreto and Rolandi's. Mainly for the location. However, the staff, accomodations, pool, Pablo at the snack bar, and everyone in the complex who helped us make our vacation enjoyable - THANK YOU!! I especially enjoyed working with you Clyde since you were so accomodating and easy to work with. Thanks again - we will return!!

Spent 3 glorious nights in this beautiful condo. Everything about it was perfect! - the location (beachfront on Playa norte), the interior, simply gorgeous, the wrap around balcony (hosted a few sunset happy hours) and the staff at the condo were always helpful & nice. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Loved it! Noreen

Clyde, Thanks for a great week in your unit 409/410! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving on Isla. Our family couldn't have been any happier with the place. We did a little snooping on some of the other units in the building, and nothing we looked at compared to how nicely you've decorated...it just felt like a home away from home! Hi Clyde, just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay on Isla. We loved every minute, and did all there was to do, I think, including a day trip to Chichen Itza with William the driver. Ixchel, is a most beautiful spot. I met the family who rented your unit, and it is certainly beautiful. It will be our first choice for a rental next time! I also wanted to commend the owners/management on the wonderful staff they have in place. The front desk and conceirge were always so welcoming, friendly and kind. It added alot to our feeling of 'coming home' each evening. In fact our experience with everyone on the island was so very positive. We were looking for some fun in the sun vacation. We werent disappointed. This Ixchel condo was clean comfortable & well equiped for all our needs. The view is amazing! & the location couldnt be any better. The beach is right there & we enjoyed swimming everyday. The staff was polite & helpful. We had a great time here & you will too!

Clyde: What a fabulous place. We so enjoyed your little piece of paradise. We did it all -- go, go, go. We met several great folks, including your 'other' guests The Pink Family from MN, while there. The staff was very very helpful. Thanks too for being so responsive to our many pre-trip questions, you get A+ marks for your service. I did get to see several other units at Ixchel and, as you likely know, yours not only has the superior view but is furnished the best of any we examined. In short, we will be back.

Hi Clyde, Just a quick note of thanks for the wonderful condo you have! We really had a wonderful time and the view is absolutely amazing. The only downside for us was the 19 yr old's we brought with us! (they flew down with me to sail the boat back with my husband) They loved the "tequila" a bit too much! My husband and I would like to be able to rent your unit again next year as well if it is available. Our 25th wedding anniversary is the first week in May next year and we would love to "get married again" right there on the beach by the condo. We couldn't think of a lovelier spot to renew our vows. I will have to check the calandar for the exact dates and get back to you. You definitely have a piece of paradise all your own. Marie Aruffo
