Create wonderful family memories celebrating your vacation in a cabin in the Sierra Mountains. Come up for a week-end in April, May or early June before the crowds arrive - it's really fun!!!
Our rustic 1920's Arts and Crafts Era Cabin, is one of 6 cabins originally part of a compound built for the management of Penman Peak Lumber Company. Under new ownership since June, 2005, the cabin has been completely repainted and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is newly renovated for the busy family and includes period appliance to retain the charm of a Craftsman bungelow cabin. It is impressively efficient and wonderfully warm, sunny and bright!
The cabin overlooks the beautiful, designated "Wild and Scenic" Feather River. From the back porch, you can listen to the river's water, the breeze through the tall pines, and the occasional train working it's way up or down the amazing Feather River Canyon. The Cabin is situated on 38 acres, which borders the Feather River for 3/4 miles. You, your family and your pets have full access to the entire property and its limited river access! Float or fly fish; the choice is yours! For the land lubber, golf one of the 5 nearby championship courses (one each designed by Dick Bailey and Bob Cupp!) Hiking or the nearby BLM trails and roads is an option as well!!
A short drive up Gold Lake Highway delivers you to the famous Lakes Basin Recreation Area, where you have a vast array of activities available. Five world class golf courses are only minutes away in and around Graeagle! You are limited only by your imagination and the length of your stay! |
