We spent two weeks in Howth at this location in August 2011. We found the village charming and the apartment very well located near the Dart and close to restaurants and small groceries. We were able to travel to Dublin and other locations very easily. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a restful area with the ability to hike the area around Howth or easily visit Dublin and other areas nearby.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers.

This apartment was the perfect size and well-situated for my visit to Dublin. On this trip, it was just me and my husband in the one bedroom, but the sleeper sofa in the family room could easily accommodate another guest or two if need be. The place was very safe, secured by two keypad entry doors, as well as very neat and tidy. For families with small children, there is a tot lot across fromt eh building. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with in making my arrangements and has a local resident maintain the apartment between bookings, Four star service! Dublin is a fast-paced city, and with Howth just a short train ride from the city center, you get to enjoy some down time away from all the hustle and bustle. For those from the States, Howth is a charming seaside village along the lines of Annapolis, MD or any fishing town/community you'd find in the Northeast. Though away from downtown Dublin, there are still plenty of places to visit, eat at, and enjoy in Howth. It's a real gem right on the ocean!
