Absolutely gorgeous two bedroom condo, direct beachfront, on an uncrowded beach on the quiet south end of Topsail Island, with a boat ramp on the sound. Fall asleep to the peaceful sounds of the Atlantic Ocean, then watch the sun rise from your oceanfront deck, and set over Topsail Sound from your soundside deck.
Perfect for a small family, two couples, or a small group of friends, this beautiful condo has been completely refurbished -- it is bright, airy, open and tasteful. The comfortable living room opens up onto the oceanfront deck, allowing you a beautiful ocean view from almost everywhere in the condo -- the living room, the dining area, the kitchen, the master bedroom .... The swimming pool, hot tub and tennis courts are a few steps away across the quiet road. And bring your laptop - we have WiFi.
The Master bedroom has sliding glass doors to the oceanfront deck, and is elegantly decorated -- the queen-size bed has an embroidered bedspread, a 4-inch Tempurpedic mattress pad with a comfy feather cover, as well as a private bathroom with beautiful antique bronze fixtures.
The second bedroom has a sliding glass door to the soundside deck, a queen-size bed, Tempurpedic mattress pad and featherbed and is "shabby chic" as they say. This room also has a double futon couch that can be pulled out for extra sleepers.
The social kitchen, with it gorgeous new granite countertops, invites conversation over dinner preparation, and is very well stocked with all kinds of spices, good knives, nice wine glasses and a martini shaker and glasses -- we've added a cappuccino machine, too -- all the things WE would want in a vacation rental. Should you decide to dine in, you can eat at the granite breakfast bar, the dining table, or while relaxing on your oceanfront deck.
The condominium is well-stocked and full of "little touches" -- household products are all supplied -- laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, etc, and we have left some sun-screen on the shelf in the bathroom for you, as well as a first aid kit and a basket of toiletries in case you forget anything. We'd be happy to lend you our 450 thread count sheets as well as our beach and bath towels - we ask only that you launder them before you go. We also invite you to use our beach chairs and beach umbrella if you'd like - just hose them off and put them away before you leave.
We've left two big folders -- one full of "Menus" of our favorite local restaurants, and one with "Things To Do" full of brochures, maps, sports and fishing equipment rentals, etc. There are games and books for you to enjoy while you're here, and a big box of kids' toys and games. There are lots of restaurants nearby - from calabash to candelabra, sandwiches to swordfish. Lots of shops, bookstores, plenty of things to do if you find yourself tiring of lolling about in paradise! Paradise, however, does not include smoking -- really, no kidding -- no smoking.
We just bought this condo a couple of years ago and have been busily fixing it up (okay - we've been fixing it up about half the time -- the other half we've been lolling about in the sand and surf ourselves!) We've had fantastic guests through vrbo, and the folks who have stayed in the condo so far have really loved it. So give us a try -- come stay with us.

Why the Owner Chose Topsail Beach
Topsail Island is the southernmost of the barrier islands. Our condo complex was built back in the 70's when oceanfront land was still somewhat affordable, so it is square on the beach, not off on some oblique angle like many of the Topsail condos. We are in the town of Topsail Beach, which is on the far south side of the island - the sleepy old-fashioned end of the island - just how I like it! Topsail Beach doesn't not allow any building over 35 feet, so the whole oceanfront is low - not built up like some other sections of the island. Where I am there is no building on the sound side, so it is a nearly clear 360 degree view. My condo is on the second floor direct oceanfront, as you can see from the pictures. First floor units are nice, but you just can't beat the view from a second floor. You can see the ocean from every room in my condo except the soundside BR and 2nd bath. We have a huge pool and a new hot tub and a sauna - all about 70 steps from my front door!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
I am at the beach a lot - I spend much of April and May and most of September and October there. The condo is furnished, decorated and stocked for me - the way I like it. It is therefore not at all like a regular beach rental. Everything is comfortable, everything is tasteful, and it is very well stocked - with high quality things! The master BR has both a 4 inch Tempurpedic mattress pad and a pillowtop mattress cover and 450 thread count sheets. The second bedroom has a 2 inch Tempurpedic mattress pad and pillowtop mattress cover and 450 thread count sheets--- these are some comfortable beds! I have bath size towels and 2 extra thick bath sheets in the master bathroom. I also have nice beach towels, and beach umbrellas and beach chairs. And if anyone is a puzzle person, you're in serious luck!

My husband and I and our three daughters love Topsail! After spending our vacations renting places on Topsail for almost 20 years, we finally got our own condo a few years ago. It was wonderful fun furnishing, decorating and stocking our condo the way I would have liked those rentals to be all those years --- comfortable beds, nice things. I love renting our place through vrbo -- it feels to me more often than not that folks staying at our place are friends coming for a visit. Without exception folks have taken good care of our place and our things, making it easy for me to leave my nice things out for guests to use.
