Our Hanelei Bay Villa is in the most magical spot, poised like a tree house on the tip of the Princeville bluff with the grand vista of the Hanalei Bay and the Bali Hai mountains framing the view. Trade winds blow the palms and giant bamboo and the sound is refreshing and calming. After a silky rain view the myriad waterfalls seen falling from Bali Hai.

Located just a few steps from the entrance of the newly remodeled St Regus Hotel (formerly the Princeville Hotel), you can take advantage of the incredible views, dining and refreshments of the hotel complex. If you are going to a conference, there could not be a more convenient place to stay and enjoy your privacy and have the convenience of walking to meetings.

We love this spot because without ever getting into a car we can walk down to the Princeville beach and swim, snorkel or take the “back door” to the prime surfing spot on the north coast of Kauai. We have seen the most amazing sea life there. Spotted Eagle rays, moray eels as well as our favorite the sea turtles or Honu are plentiful.

Across the street and a few hundred feet in either direction brings you to the most spectacular of all sunset viewing spots, the famous Bali Hai. Watching the sun sinking over that famous rocky crag in hues of fuchsia, salmon and lavender are memories we keep in our hearts year round.

Nearby is the family friendly Anini beach a safe spot for children and adults alike for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. Soft white sand beaches abound for miles. Princeville town has great restaurants and shops with ice cream and a full scale supermarket with local fish and meat as well as two world class golf courses. A few miles up the road is the quaint town of Hanalei where shops abound for clothing, beach gear and even organic food. The famous beach at Hanalei is not only has a champion surf break but, also one of the most beautiful spots to stroll in the moonlight. Newly upgraded bamboo floor and new furnishings in living room. Very clean!

  • This place is a great vacation home. We had a wonderful time and definitely did not want to return home. The home is very well kept and had all of the amenities you need. I know the owners were selling it ,so hopefully the new owners will continue to rent it for the same price.   • One of the best places to stay on Kauai? We think so! It is Hanalei Bay Villa #4 on the North Shore, the most stunning part of the beautiful Garden Island. The sense of privacy lends a certain serenity, although it is practically next door to the Princeville Resort, with all of its pleasures (including a Sunday Brunch to die for). The beach at Pua Poa is just a short walk away. The amenities of this very nicely furnished Villa guarantee a great vacation. The 2.5 bath, 2 bedroom configuration with generous closets assures everyone all the personal space they need, as do the two lanais (each with a fantastic view). The well-equipped kitchen reflects the owners’ commitment to fine cooking, with everything you need close at hand. No need to rent gear here: boogie boards, snorkels, beach mats and towels all are ready for your use.
