Come and enjoy our newly refurbished (2007) 2BR vacation spot at Gulf Place Caribbean. New paint, new carpet, new tile, and new furniture all await you. Come and enjoy it while it’s fresh. (See lots of pictures below.) We have 1 queen bed in the master bedroom, 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom, 2 bunks in the hall, and 1 sleeper sofa, so we can sleep up to 8. There are 2 full baths. The kitchen is full-sized with a large pantry and is fully equipped. Park your car just outside the door. Hide out from the world or stay connected with our free wireless internet.
The condo is a quiet place on the ground floor. It is an end unit which means lots of windows and light, a panoramic view from the patio, and a spacious master bedroom. We overlook the private lake at the Caribbean on two sides. It’s especially pretty when the fountains are running. Our patio has a table and chairs for outside dining and is only a few steps from the pool, hot tub, and charcoal grill. The pool is heated in winter. The beach is just across the coastal road and down the deeded access boardwalk. It is perhaps a 50 yard walk.
***For up to 4-6 guests, we also have a lovely 1BR/1BA unit on the top (4th) floor. It is still available for the April Seabreeze Jazz Festival. It is in immaculate condition. There is a good view of the gulf waters and the sunsets. It has a large L-shaped balcony overlooking the pool area, lake, and partial view of the gulf. If the beach is not your thing or if you are ready for something else, there are lots of other activities. 3 pools, 2 tennis courts, shuffle board, a long biking path to Seaside and beyond, the Santa Rosa Country Club golf course adjacent, and a walking/jogging path within Gulf Place itself are only a few ideas. There are free Sunday evening concerts at Gulf Place from May-August. Organized kids activities and movies round out the summer months. “Snowbirds” come from far and wide to enjoy the mild winters, the heated pool, and the glorious sunsets.
At the intersection of county roads 393 and 30A, Gulf Place is a planned resort community made up of condos, private townhouses and homes, a large grassy amphitheater, and a commercial area of artist kiosks, boutiques, and eateries. Everyone likes Miss Lucille’s Gossip Parlor where the coffee is always wonderful, the ice cream a treat, and the bakery goods are hard to pass up. In all, there are five eating places within walking distance. The landscape crew keeps all the grounds lush and green. There is a security patrol at night, just in case.
Farther afield you can drive to Destin, Sandestin, and the Silver Sands Factory Store complex to the west, or Blue Mountain and Seaside to the east. There are shops, restaurants, and attractions all along the way. |
