This interesting, 1800 square foot, two-level home, finished in southern cypress, has the feel of a mountain lodge with everything you’ll need for a fun-filled Lake Marion vacation. The upper level has three bedrooms, two baths and a wonderful great room overlooking dock and creek. The great room has lots of comfortable seating and dining tables large enough to seat the whole family at the reunion or that special get together dinner. The large deck off the great room will be a favorite place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or cocktail in the evening. The lower level has the fourth bedroom, third bath, laundry facilities and additional 'country kitchen'.
The jewel of this property is the spacious screened in porch on the lower level with beautiful view of dock and creek. With comfortable couches and chairs for lounging and lots of seating for family fun meals, this porch will be a cool oasis during the warm summer days. During cooler weather, window panels can be closed for year around comfortable use of this space. The deep water dock is ready for your boat and fishing rod or a cool swim. A sandy bottom at the shore is ideal for wading or swimming. The Lodge is perfect for family reunions or multi-family vacations because of its flexible sleeping accommodations and ability to seat everyone for meals either in the great room or in the screened in porch. We rented this for a fishing trip and it worked out great. It is centrally located on the upper lake with easy access to the lower lake as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to rent at Santee. The owner was VERY accomdating and great with communication. thanks for the great stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our vacation at Cypress Lodge was a memorable one. Being able to visit a childhood vacation spot brought back so many memories. The owners are wonderful as well as the neighbors who were there if we needed anything. I would highly recommend any family to stay at Cypress Lodge. My family is already wanting to plan another trip this summer,Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is the 2nd year we have rented this wonderful house. The owners are so friendly and they make sure everythimg is just right for your stay. The new enclosure on the covered scteened porch was wonderfulRecommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great three day weekend on Lake Marion. This is one of the few places you can actually rent for three days vs. the entire week in the summer! Two families (4 adults, 6 children ages 5 - 10). Plenty of space, gret dock for swimming, great recreational boating on Taw Caw Creek, etc ... Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband, and son rented this property over the Easter weekend. It was great. We have family in the nearby areas and they were able to come spend time with us. There was plenty of room for who ever wanted to stay and large eating spaces. The downstairs screened porch and bedroom was great for the ones who wanted a little more up time. We will definitly rent this property again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
