Located on the 18th fairway of the Devil's Knob Golf Course, cross country skiing is right out the back door and you can ski or walk to the club and restaurant. Wintergreen offers a full array of activities in a beautiful, peaceful mountain setting. With two golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, hiking trails, swimming pools, fishing ponds and lakes, and several restaurants, you will never run out of things to do.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby, and there are multiple wineries in area has to visit, with many offering weekend events during the spring, summer and fall. Wintergreen also has a wonderful nature center that offers many different programs weekly. In the winter, downhill skiing and tubing take over. A shuttle picks up in the parking lot for those who want the convenience of the slopes without the hassle of parking.
Within 30 minutes of Wintergreen are the towns of Charlottesville, Staunton, and Waynesboro. Hey, UVA parents, many people rent Wintergreen condos during football season,and the mountain is usually sold out during graduation weekends. Try a side visit to Monticello while you're at it!
Our 3 bedroom condo has a recently upgraded kitchen, and offers a TV with either a DVD or VCR player in every bedroom, as well as in the great room. There are 2 well appointed bedrooms and a full bath down and a king master suite, with a whirlpool tub upstairs.
The view from our third floor condo is very enjoyable in every season. The balcony has adirondack-style chairs for enjoying the sunset or reading the paper with your morning coffee. You will be impressed with the comfortable lodge style furniture throughout the unit.

Everything was great. It was very spacious so you don't get that "cooped up" feeling as with smaller condos. Very peaceful and quiet. Love the wood burning fireplace (wood provided). Owners were great to deal with and gave great directions how to get there, get in, helpful with accomodations, check out, etc. It didn't hurt matters when we got over a foot of snow during our stay in early 2010. Will go again!!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Just returned from a New Year's weekend at the Deans' lovely condo. We had a great time at Wintergreen with lots of activities for our 4 kids. The condo was very clean, well appointed and well stocked for guests. Even nicer than these photos on the site. No bad "surprises" as with some online rentals. All of us liked the lodge theme decor throughout. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

My family and I rented this condo at Wintergreen in August, 2006. We enjoyed the spacious, comfortable accomodations and found the lodge theme added to the fun of our stay. The unit was quiet, clean and had all the supplies to cook in that we needed. Wintergreen is quite spread out and this unit is within walking distance of the Nature Center, the Wintergreen Spa/pool complex and the tennis courts (through some pathways and adjacent condos). The Inn is a 20 minute hike or 3 minute drive down the hill. Arranging for the rental went smoothly and the owner is very easy to deal with and provided information to make our stay memorable.
