We stayed at this house for a long weekend with a family of 8. It is in the perfect location and is the perfect little house nestled in the woods. The house is very clean and is fully stocked of extra towels and items to help cooking in the kitchen easy. The firepit out back is awesome and the owners were super easy to work with. I highly recommend staying here for your next trip out to Door County.
Owner response:Even in winter, Door County is a treasure! Festivals, great shops and restaurants and wonderful indoor and outdoor activities abound. And, the peace and quiet of the winter months make for a truly restful and rejuvenating experience. Our home is just a short walk to the gorgeous winter trails in Peninsula State Park...for walkers, snowmobilers and skiers...plus a hill for sledding. We also are a short walk to the Door County YMCA where for a small daily fee you can exercise, swim and play sports. Our fireplace makes for cozy evenings indoors while you read the books and play the games we provide, and our fire pit will keep you warm outside while you make toast marshamallows. It is one of our favorite seasons in Door County.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We greatly enjoyed our trip to Door County (our 4th visit to the area) and especially enjoyed our accommodations at this home in Fish Creek. It is a great home to share with family. The home is clean, tastefully decorated, accessible to the town of Fish Creek and well equipped. We highly recommend this home to future visitors in the area. There's so much to do in Door County and is the perfect place for a family vacation.

Your house was perfect and had everything we needed. One of my favorite things was just relaxing at the house enjoying the lovely view and the visiting deer. We definitely want to come back.

We are four couples that have been coming to Door County for the last 25 years. This property was one of the nicest we have stayed in. The house was very clean and well kept. The bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy. We always go during the winter and the house was very comfortable. It was convenient for shopping and of course we found several new restaurants to try. The owners were very easy to work with and we would definitely stay at this property again.

All one could ask for and more! From the exceptionally clean and well maintained abundant living space to the plentiful stack of wood adjacent to the friendly fire pit this getaway has it all. Close enough to Fish Creek proper and Peninsula State park entrance for a healthy walk or a quick bike ride the location is a great access point to all of Door County. Don’t hesitate to book it!

The only thing better than having your children and grandchildren together in one home is having that home be as beautifully appointed and perfectly located as Fish Creek Retreat. From the moment we walked through the door we knew we had found the perfect home to bring our family together. Our first trip to Door County was the start of a family tradition which we hope to continue. Thanks to the many suggestions of what to do and see we know our explorations have only just begun. This home was a rare find ... we are thrilled that we got so lucky.

This was a wonderful home in a great location. It was close enough to Fish Creek and Penisula Park to walk or bike yet isolated enough to provide quiet and privacy. The central location gave us good access to all of the Door County areas. The house had plenty of room for all of our eight adults and was fully equipped for everything that we wanted to do. From the basketball hoop in the driveway to the firepit in the backyard, there were plenty of things for everyone to enjoy. This was our first time to Door County, but I am sure that we will be back. When we do, this house will be our choice again.

As stated by a previous guest, I hesitate to give this house too much praise for fear that too many people will find this gem and we might have a hard time booking it next time! What a beautiful house! So homey and packed full with innumerous amenities from every kitchen utensil you could possibly need to things you never even thought to bring with you. Guests will also be super-pleased with the "white-gloved" cleanliness. We were a group of 6 and there was more than ample space. A cozy retreat, in a quiet setting - by weekend's end we were all completely rejuvenated. Can't wait to book again.

I'm one of the "sisters" who just enjoy the week at your home in Door County. We enjoyed our stay SO MUCH! The area is lovely and the home really felt like home! I hate to sing the praises too much for fear that this place will become so booked that we will never be able to get in again! It was great.

This house is perfect for a small family reunion. My sisters/spouses just returned from the most beautiful week. The house has plenty of room to stretch out and is very well equipped. We especially enjoyed our meals on the spacious deck (including the visiting deer). I would highly recommend this location.

The house is lovely and in a perfect location. We enjoyed the privacy of the deck and shaded back yard, yet the house is located less than a mile from Penninsula State Park. Downtown Fish Creek is an easy walk. What a find! We look forward to returning next year.

This is a very charming cottage in a very delightful setting. We loved the wooded lot and the feeling of privacy. It was an easy walk or bike ride to town when we needed anything. The outside world melted away! What a perfect vacation!

Wow! Awesome! Gorgeous! GREAT HOME. Thank you...well that seems like something you say when someone posses the salt! Not what you say when you've reconnected with your family and a longtime friend, when you had the opportunity to fish with your children everyday, when you played with your kids in the sand, walked out into Green Bay for the first time, hiked and drove through forest and discovered that Wisconsin is more than "cheese", when you've watched a sunset that was full of color. Do you just say "thank you"? We will be back...save us a week.

Whether you're looking for a romantic retreat or a place to house up to 8 family members/friends, Fish Creek Retreat is a great choice. Just a short walk from a number of good places to shop and dine, the house itself is fully equipped. It's also just minutes from two entrances to Peninsula State Park. I've just returned from my first trip to Door County, and I hope to return soon.
