Charming property on the lake. lake floor is sandy and gently sloping.fishing yields largemouth bass and various panfish. The fish love to eat and provide easy action to entice the young enthusiast. The atmosphere is decidedly relaxed. It will readily refresh memories of past summers at the lake for those who wonder what happened to those welcoming cottages that used to be more plentiful before the wonder of clear Michigan waters became the home of year-round residents, all of which has made this type of vacation less readily available. Having raised five children who have travelled with us to this lake for the last 18 years and still look forward to every opportunity to do so now, we can attest to the fun and relaxation to be had.
Sturgis Michigan is in South-central Michigan in St. Joseph County. Championship golf is nearby. The magic capitol of the world is nearby.
Amish Country is nearby providing food and crafts. The location is a comfortable drive from Ohio, Indiana and of course, other locations in the beautiful State of Michigan.

Place not new or fancy. But clean and comfortable...nice size! Owners supply all you need but your belongings...kitchen nice size and nice size counter space. Very user friendly. Actually perfect if take kids/pets etc. as so user friendly. Has all you'd need and a peaceful/relaxing place. Nice patio looking at the lake which is right there with the nice dock. Owners very nice people and so very helpful in all ways! Fans made it comfortable overall. Could use air conditioning though...and would be perfect getaway. Ashamed didn't write review much much sooner. So close to Indiana and flea markets...nice small towns.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

My husband and I and my brother/sister-in-law rented this property in April 2011 for 1 week. We weren't here for vacation, but to visit family members in 2 nursing homes in failing health. The property was a great place for us to unwind after some stressful days. Although it could use some updating and repairs, it was very clean, well-stocked and comfortable. Quite roomy for the 4 of us and everything in working order. Very flexible and supportive owners, and this will be our go-to place anytime we can get it when we need to come to Sturgis!
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
