  I stayed here with my wife and 16 year old son for 5 nights, in Apartment D. It was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable. The view is spectacular. The main street of Taormina is a very short walk down the hill, where most of the shops and restaurants are. We rented a small car in Catania, and the drive into Taormina can be a bit daunting, because of the narrow, steep streets. But after a day we got quite used to it, driving to other parts of Sicily 4 of the 5 days we were there. Claudio was extremely helpful in all regards, and he lives on the property. I would recommend these apartments to anyone in good enough health to do a bit of walking in the steep village.

  The four of us 60-year olds, two couples, had a wonderful stay of 6 days here. Mr. Schuler was very helpful and rescued us when we arrived on the wrong street, which our Garmin incorrectly identified as our destination. We fully used the kitchen and washer, enjoyed the town, and although many things were closed due to the winter's arrival, also found great shops and restaurants, and even the rain was only during the night!! The location is excellent for walking to and from the town and the apartment "C" was very clean and well maintained. From here we drove to Siracusa one day, on another went partway up Mt. Etna, and to visit an agriturismo. It was an excellent adventure with plenty of opportunity for beautiful views and much needed sleep. Be very careful driving in Taormina...many streets are impassable with modern cars. We all highly recommend this property.

  We rented 4 of the 5 available apartments for a week to celebrate a significant birthday for us all and we can confirm everything that others have said about the apartments. We all managed to arrive at the apartments within 3 attempts, in some cases with the help of Claudio, and the location close to the main town, the supermarket and some great little restaurants was excellent. Of these restaurants we would recommend Malvasia. The view is sensational from all the apartments and this is complemented by balconies full of flowers and well kept gardens. All apartments were well appointed, very clean and a very comfortable size for the maximum number of advertised guests. Claudio was on hand to help with any problems, e.g. lost luggage, lost medications etc, and provide suggestions about places to go, restaurants etc. From the time of booking all our dealings with Claudio were very positive especially as, with 15 people, we added and changed apartments during the booking period and even after we arrived. Parking is available for a small number of small cars on site and the others were able to find parking beside the adjacent square. Pick up and drop off from Catania airport was also efficient. Driving a car in Taormina township can be a challenge as even a GPS system can become confused and streets are incredibly narrow with parked cars along them, but it creates a lot of discussion and quite a bit of mirth! However, none of us damaged a car and after a couple of days could find our way in and out quite efficiently. While the apartments are on four levels, there are two apartments that are accessible at ground level with one 2 or 3 steps to negotiate for those who might find the steps a challenge. In the local area, apart from the attractions of the Taormina itself, Castelmola on its hill, Mt Etna, Syracuse and Ortigia, Noto and the Aeolian Islands were all places members of the group visited. We also found a wonderful Sicilian macelleria in Linguaglossa. In all we had a great week. Thank you Claudio.

  Some friends and I stayed in Apartment Type "E" for four nights. It was outstanding! The views from the balcony were incredible. Often, you see pictures in the ads and when you get there, it isn't the same. The only way you could say that about this place is, the picture may not do it justice. Everything was clean, Claudio was helpful and attentive, and the main street is a short walk away. I will definitely make a return trip.

  My family and I recently stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment at Residence Schuler. It was all that we hoped and more. The best feature was the large decks overlooking the sea and Mt. Etna. We even saw Etna errupt one evening. One of the bedroom has its own deck and sitting space. The other large bedroom has its own bath. The listing was accurate, clean and well maintained and Claudio was very helpful whenever we had a question. He also helped my daughter get her lost bag from Al Italia. It was very close to the town center but be prepared to walk up and down hills. The entire town is on a hill of course. Our favorite restaurant was just at the bottom of the stairs where we sat outside under the orange trees. The only recommendations we had are that the kitchen could use a microwave (there is plenty of room) and a hairdryer would also be helpful. I highly recommend this property. Thanks Claudio.

  I stayed at Residence Schuler in Apt. B for three months from January-March 2011. I could not have been more pleased with my choice. The building is perfectly situated, with beautiful views of the sea and Mt. Etna from the terraces. Breathtaking! The apartment was lovely and comfortable - a well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom and washer. The location is ideal: a 5 minute walk to the main street - the Corso Umberto - but far enough away that you don't hear the noise. The largest grocery store in Taormina is also 5 minutes away. There is a set of stairs just past the residence that leads you directly down to the grocery store, so you don't have to walk down the narrow street. In addition to all these pluses, the on-site management is fantastic. Claudio is very attentive and very helpful. He's there anytime you need him to answer questions or help out in any way. All in all, Residence Schuler was a wonderful choice for a vacation home and I highly recommend it.

  The apartment was wonderful, spacious and clean, with everything you need to set up housekeeping. The terrace was large and offered a fabulous view of the sea and Mt. Etna. We were about 1 block away from the Corso Vittorio Emmanuel, the main shopping street of Taormina. Claudio was very helpful, even coming to find us on his motorcycle when we got lost trying to follow directions to the apartment (Park the car! You do NOT want to drive in Taormina!) There is a small supermarket just 1 block away, which made setting up housekeeping very easy, and good restaurants abound. Enjoy!

  Absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this property. The owner was great and was even able to arrange for a driver to take us to see relatives in Sicily. The location was fantastic, the accommodations were very clean and comfortable. There is nothing that I would change. I can hardly wait to come back!
