We were so glad we came across this beautiful Victorian home for our vacation in Colorado. It's a wonderful historic house, lovingly filled with antiques and loaded with modern amenities. Comfortable and cozy, this home is a great home base for day trips to Denver and Colorado Springs. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, dinnerware and pots/pans that you'd need to cook all of your meals, there's a washer and dryer, and even wi-fi! Loved it and would love to go back and stay there again. Highly recommend it for your next trip to Colorado!!!

My family and I can highly recommend the Dusty Rose Cottage in Cripple Creek. The set-up was great and there were no unpleasant surprises. Everything was clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. There was a nice blend of antiques and practical furniture. The tvs on each floor helped entertain kids in between our outdoor adventures. We saw a mule deer within two minutes of arriving in town. We rented the house for a week in July and had our multi-generational family stay together. The two floors offered comfortable lodging and some privacy for everyone. We were able to cook a variety of meals for a variety of tastes and food requirements. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and hot tub and there was plenty of off street parking for everyone. My daughter swears she will never stay anywhere again without a washing machine available, because she found it very convenient with two children. The weather was great and we were able to open the windows to allow in a breeze, much to the dismay of our neighbors at home who were in 100+ heatwave. The ability to go on-line even allowed for us to gloat on-line long distance. As for activities, we did it all. Gambled (Yes, Grandma went to every casino in town), rode the train, hiked, drove Shelf Road, hunted and found fossils, enjoyed the museums and the unusual Homestead Museum, played at the city playground, enjoyed tea and scones at the tea house, took pictures of the local architecture, ate out at some great restaurants, including enjoying the cheap breakfast, visited nearby Victor, Woodlawn Park Dinosaur Center, and Florrisant Fossil Beds Park, helped the grandkids become Junior Rangers, met some great people-some from Cripple Creek and some just visiting the area, and visited with our family and friends who drove up from Colorado Springs. And we discovered after talking to people, we had a great place to stay at a good price. Much cheaper than anything else we heard and better suited to our needs. You could walk downtown or catch the shuttle. And let us not forget the donkey encounters. Thrilled the grandkids to death when they stuck their heads in the van. Please note there is a half bath on the first floor and the shower is on the second. Only challenge-trying to find the grocery store. Hint-Go north past the cemetery and the helicopter and cannon and finally across the cattle crossing. Seriously, that's how you find it! We plan to check this site again for our other travels!

My family of four adults and three children were so very comfortable in this beautiful home. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the property and the town. The home is well-appointed with plenty of linens and kitchen equipment. You will not be sorry in choosing this for your family's vacation. Kim is wonderful to work with!

We were amazed at the condition of this house considering "her age". Our family of 7 lived comfortably for a week while enjoying Cripple Creek and the surrounding area. Kim is wonderful to work with :0)

Wonderful ! The property felt like home, in fact my daughter said "I could live here forever". Seeing the pictures ahead of time online made us feel that we "knew" where we were. ALL of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit and excursion to the Cripple Creek area. We were there for a family wedding, and used the property as guest accomodation. It was perfact. I loved the abundance of linens and towels! Enough to keep up with a couple kids hopping in and out of the hot tub, and convenient laundry equipment to stay ahead of the needs. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs for meal preparation and service. The hot tub was great at night to relax in and star gaze. It was a pleasant surprize to have two TVs that tuned into different stations so Grandparents could listen to music in the sitting room while the kids watched their pleasure upstairs. And the board games were a welcome diversion (may have caused inner-family stress with an aggressive Monopoly game, but that was our doing) Having parking in the rear was easy for loading and unloading, and easy navigation of few steps for elderly. Some of us took in the "touristy" things to do in town, like the train ride, casinos, dining. Others grabbed rods and went fishing at Skagway, some sunbathed, hiked, or walked along the Main Street. The donkeys that roam freely were a delight too. Friendly enough to capture some great photo shots. It did take us a bit to find the gas station and grocery store in Cripple Creek. Who would have thought to look for an Ace Hardware!? - - it had all of our needs and wants. Thank you kindly. We will definately refer to family and friends, and those with us thought we should make this an annual outing event. Everyone had a gReAt time!

Came to Colorado for a "Get-a-way". Went whitewater rafting, John May museum, Pikes Peak, Ghost museum, Mt. Princeton & the Casino's of Cripple Creek. Experienced the player piano, old "Vic" and relaxed in the hot tub. Our children enjoyed the atmosphere of this charming home. It was like them staying in a museum that they could touch and experience. It was a great history lesson as well.

This is the perfect home away from home! Two couples rented this place for a weekend and we were absolutely pleased with the rental. It was better than we expected! We brought in all our food and was pleasantly suprised when the cupboards held some of our needed (forgotten!) items. I would definately recommend this rental property.

What an adorable, quaint, feel good home. We did a lot of walking back and forth to town, a bit out of breath going UP, but understandable since we live at 12 feet above sea level. Kim was great to talk with and we'd highly recommend this beautiful home to everyone.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay for our first visit to CO. The house was adorable and meticulously decorated with antique and vintage furniture, yet remained welcoming and comfortable. From 1st day to last we felt very much at home. From this location we visited Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Aspen and also did white water rafting. Aspen was 4 hours but the ride is so beautiful and interesting (you cross the Divide)that it felt like no time at all. All 4 of us highly recommend this house. Also dealing with Kim was a joy!
