This spacious vacation home offers all the amenities of "home away from home" with all the features unique to the Island only minutes away! Miles of trails, bike paths offer opportunities for jogging, biking, walking and exploring. The home comes complete with bikes, beach toys, chairs. One of the most beautiful beachs on the Atlantic is just a 5 minute bike or car ride away and three of the island's best golf courses are minutes from the home. Guests can park at the Palmetto Dunes Beach House which offers restrooms, snack bar.(located next to the Marriot Tennis and beach Resort). The beach is an approximately a 10- 15 minute scenic walk from the home.
Palmetto Resort offers a free shuttle that will pick you up at your front door and head to the beach,or one of the near by golf courses, the tennis center, the Mall at Shelter Cove, or the Shops and Restaurants of Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove.
The home is very open with cathedral ceilings throughout the kitchen, hearth, living room and dining areas. A fully equipped kitchen adjoins a hearth room with fireplace. A breakfast area is off the kitchen with a reading nook. A formal dining area is to the left of the entrance with a formal sitting area. A small TV room and office area is located next to the laundry area.
There are two Master Suites with king size beds, attached baths, one with whirlpool tub and shower and one with shower, televisions and private sitting areas. A third and fourth bedroom, one with twin beds and one with full size bed offers additional sleeping accommodations, with full size baths off of them. A pull out sofa and 2 rollaway beds are also available. A sitting dock area for fishing in the lagoon is off pool area.
Special Features include pool(Can be heated at additional cost), Jacuzzi, stereo system, gas grill, bikes, 5 televisions, VCR/DVD, beach chairs, and second refrigerator in garage for refreshments.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
All the partners love Hilton Head for the southern hospitality. We all live fast-paced lives but when we are on the island life seems to slow down. Sure we still have our cell phones to deal with but a quick walk on the beach in the morning with a cup of coffee calms the inner noise we all experience. On our trip back from Hilton Head someone invariably declares “I cannot believe how fast the week went!” This is part of the hazards of staying in Hilton Head - you will not want to leave!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love a relaxing lunch by the pool. We equally enjoy a night on the town. There are so many restaurants on the island, that we have been coming here for 20 years and still find a new place to eat every time we come. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is great.
Owner's Map of Private Homes
My best friend spent his honeymoon on the island and fell in love with the area. For years he talked about the fun and relaxation he had vacationing on Hilton Head. In 2000 he bought a house in Palmetto Dunes Plantation on 43 Offshore (listing #90951). A few years later he and I bought this house on 49 Offshore. In 2008 two more of my friends joined us to buy a house on 1 Ginger Beer (listing 203580). We all enjoy coming to the island in the off season to work on the houses and play some golf. We are all contractors so we pride ourselves on maintaining our houses to the highest standards so you will enjoy maximum comfort.
