It is difficult to choose a vacation sight unseen. We were unfamiliar with the territory. I chose this rental based on the great price and wonderful pictures and descriptions of the website. If you are reading this look no further THIS IS THE HOUSE FOR YOU! The Owner was very kind to us and gave us a tour even though we were late and it was the day of his sons birthday party. GPS did not work. Home was immaculate and close to shopping.They had games and puzzles for the kids and internet hookups.The home had brochures and books about interests about town. I was very impressed with Welland Canal not something I thought I would ever think of. Was also close to sights. we visited the falls, Marineland, Port Dalihouse- loved it there-,Fort Erie, Fort George. The only regret that i had that I could not have stayed FOREVER!!! would love to return in the fall or winter. Thank you again for your Hospitality!! Will reccomend Highly!!!

Im very disapointed that my son had to go to summer school this year as we were ready to go to niagra falls. oh how i miss that rentel every year we go to niagra falls in that last ten years we rented homes and hotels and as a family man with three kids it was the most confortable and easy access to everywhere shopping niagara falls clifton hill sitting outside at night beautiful rooms air nice and cold walmart, shopping. wow do i miss your place sorry i couldnt make it this year but i will book for 2012 keep up the good work your doing a amazing job just had to write this comment for everyone to see thanks tim in montreal

"Hopefully we got the recycling correct. If I wasn't sure, I put it where we do in the States. You have a wonderful peninsula, we've explored just about everywhere. I did wash some towels last night as I had a small load of whites. They are folded on hall table. The rest are in the tub. The only thing we noticed is that a top back window screen fell out at some point. I put it in the beck wall. And since you are security concerned, the window in the back entry is open. I noticed it when I opened the blinds. I couldn't get it to lock. Thank you for the great stay. Sincerely." comment by owner: We live in the same safe area as our rental house. For guests peace of mind, house security is of importance. This family group was an energetic grandmother and her 6 grandchildren!

"I just want to let you know that we had a wonderful time up at St Catharines and Niagara Falls.  The house was nice and everyone had something they liked about it.  The beach at St. Catharines reminded of our beaches back home, very quite and peaceful. Both children choose the blue room, they managed to keep themselves very busy while in or out of the house. Thanks a millions for the hospitality." Comment from Owner: The bedrooms are themed in the four seasons of Canada, the boys liked winter!

"Thanks for a nice stay in your home and accommodating all of us. Thanks for also getting us a can opener." Comment from owner: We met this big family who met each other from two different countries, Michigan USA and Portugal. There were a lot of little children and it was quite humorous when 4 of them had on Dr. Seuss T-shirts naming them 'Thing 1 to Thing 4". Usually we inform our guests about small kitchen appliances that differ in Canada, in this case - they did not know about electric can openers, it was on the counter. We often have the same issue with electric tea kettles, but that is what makes international travel interesting.

"Thank you for the use of your home this last week. It was a lovely week of great weather and a good time. Your home is comfortable and in a great location for all the things we wanted to do. You had asked however for any comments to help in your endeavor to accommodate other guests. We would suggest things like; toilet paper in the bathroom, Kleenex and paper towels, soap at the sinks. We had no salt for cooking (however 2 containers of pepper). Guests having to go out and buy those things for a week stay is not good use of our limited vacation money, and are items that we don't want to leave for the next guests. You providing it shows you appreciate our renting from you. Also, on last thing - having more channels to watch on TV that a few that are presently available seem to be only news channels. Overall it was a nice stay here this week. Thank you. - Sorry we forgot to take the trash out." Comment by owner: we do provide initial soaps and toilet paper, but do not provide a packages for the week, as we are recycling area so we do not use paper towels. We do provide a basic cable package, internet, videos, games and books for entertainment. A new salt container is in the kitchen.

"We had a wonderful stay in your very nice house. Thank you. We are sincerely sorry that we have forgotten to put the garbage at the street on Wednesday. When we remembered , it was too late. "We had a lovely time. We enjoyed being able to hang out together in the house. We visited 5 wineries. Organized Crime was small but the girls loved their wines. Meglomanic winery was nice to look at, but the employees were rude. We had a GREAT lunch at Ravine, then visited Pilliteri and Kozelman. THANK YOU!! Our Bride loved her weekend!"

"Awaiting comments from their rental of 2 weeks" Owner comment: We were very pleased to have the opportunity to rent our vacation house to returning husband serving in Iraq and his family. A much deserved and needed vacation with his family. The Roach family did not leave at comment when they left, however with a few interactions with them - when they locked the keys in the house and wanted to put up a pool for the kids - they seemed to be having a splendid time in the area and at the house.

"Due to a language barrier, we did not get a written response left for us at the end of these guests stay. With their eager faces and happy smiles we understand that they please with the rental house." Owner comment: This group was larger than expected. They actually camped in a tent in the backyard as well. They spoke little English, but luckily our daughter is fluent in French so she provided some of the correspondence. As little children ran about out feet, saying ‘hi’ with little French accents, we showed them the house. They were pleased with the colorful rooms, the cleanliness of the house, our well supplied kitchen, the fire extinguishers on each level, the laundry facilities and the parking spaces for their 3 vehicles.

"Had a good time; enjoyed the visit; some suggestions... a cookie sheet, a blender, more ice trays and one queen size bed in one bedrooms. The full size beds not comfortable at all with another person – well you get the picture ?. We took all of the trash bins to the road on Wednesday night all were picked up except the blue one. You also need more of the glad compost bags, as you may see we tried to make use of the system. We started the towels they should be done washing and just need to be dried." Owner Comment: These guests from Kentucky were happy to know that each bedroom and the dining room all had internet jacks. They usually go south for their vacation, but this year they went north. The Niagara region recycling program is extensive. This concept is new to some of our visitors. Most guests are happy to learn that being in a Biosphere area has environmental initiatives and are eager to Recyclable material into Blue and Grey Box and green compost bins. Though not required, some of our guests like to be helpful and start a few washes on the linens provided.

"Upon our arrival we were a bit disappointed in the neighborhood, but the house itself was quite nice, it accommodated us all nicely, it was stocked with things I thought I was going to have to supply.. hand soap, dish detergent, towels, this was a pleasant surprise. It is conveniently located to all you say, one thing, the shower liner could use a change. All in all we had a lovely time in your home and at all the attractions, one of our most fun vacations yet. Thanks for all your help before hand as well, it came in very handy to be able to see all there is to do before we arrived. We found your home clean and nicely decorated as well. Thanks again, we all had a wonderfully stay in hour home." Owner comment: When a reservation is confirmed through deposit payment, we email our guests information about our area, regarding tourist information. This including sites to assist them with planning their visit. Also upon arrival, guests will find an information package, coupon pamphlets and local tourism brochures. There has been recent reconstruction to our area with new house builds, some of these properties are in need of ‘curb appeal’.

"What a great location! Easy to access the big roads, but in a quiet spot too. It’s just what we were looking for. We had enough space for the four of us and for grandma too. We would recommend your place to anyone who wants to explore the whole Niagara area, who wants more room to spread out, and who wants the option of cooking their own meals, occasionally. The house was clean and had all the kitchen things we needed for cooking and eating." We had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as represented online. The kids (boy aged 14 and girl aged 11) quickly claimed “their” rooms – pink for her , blue for him. They both enjoyed the great selection of movie you provided, as well as the many books, games. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, We ate every breakfast and most dinner at the house. What a considerable savings over eating out very night. The beds were all very comfortable, there was an endless supply of very hot water and the garden very lovely and welcoming to return to every evening. We quite enjoyed our home away from home. A quick note to Tom, thanks for the tour and for patiently answering our questions. Owner comment: When people find a VRBO rental property that they wish to reserve for their vacation, we feel it is important that the photos are a true representation of the property. This is why we try to update our photos for each season. Besides a few new paintings hung here and there, or a slight room rearrangement of updated furniture, or a few new garden plantings, we try to show the character of our house. Each and every guest gets a full tour of the house; from where the good china is for those special dinners, to how to use the dishwasher; noting our collection of history books about our area, to noting that video collection is varied for age groups; welcoming the guests to their seasonal themed bedrooms, to welcoming them to free coupon books for the attractions; informing them about recycling, to informing them about neighborhood.

Tom, Jenniffer and Austin, Thank you for a great two weeks in Canada. We had a good time thanks in part to your rental home. It has been very comfortable and a base for our adventures. Your area has provided us with many memories. I fixed the window, but was afraid to clean too much because the direction say to let the putty set for 7-14 days. Hope it is OK. May see you again next year. The Perrymans (14 night stay; grandparents, son and 2 grandchildren, from Eastport Florida, USA) There are two things that some guests discover about our area, it can be hot and humid and we love gardens and greenery in the summer. The father of this group was a landscaper and so he was interested in the many horticultural aspects of our area. Being in the greenbelt and fruit belt area of Canada, has its benefits, as this family group discovered. The grandmother noted that she made fresh cherry pies and a cherry pie pitter was the only item missing from the kitchen supplies - so she bought one. While playing catch in the backyard, the back porch window was broken, the grandfather insisted in fixing it, he liked to putter about. The girls also road their bikes in the lane behind the house and in the church parking lot.

“We had a wonderful time. The house was great! Your personal welcome and tour of the house was very nice. Thanks for sharing your house with us. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality.” They mentioned how their children had already chosen their themed bedrooms from the photos on the vrbo site and how the charm of the house as seen in the pictures, still does not do it justice in person. They appreciated the themed rooms and the decorated scheme.

We would like to thank tom and jennifer for the warm welcome and to comment on how beautiful this place is so cozy and yet so unbeleveable the sleeping arrangments perfect for 7 people everything you need just a hop away, the weather the backyard and the beautiful sunshine the deck need i say anymore . we enjoyed everything here even at night nice sit out side on the deck at night niagara falls 15 minute drive and all the shopping here you need to do we of course well gladly reamend this place any time as we are leaving tomorrow we just had to leave a possitive comment and again thank you very much for all you did for us. tim in montreal quebec

“My family enjoyed our time at the house. It was equipped to meet all our needs. It was close to the Falls attractions and close to stores, and restaurants. Also we watched the bridge being raised and the lock with boats being lowered. The house was great, we loved the theme bedrooms and the cozy feel that the house has. The location was great to take in a lot of the Niagara attractions without being in the busy town. ”

“Great time on Walnut Street! The house is very nice and cozy. We enjoyed the back yard and grill. House is very centrally located to necessities. Easy drive to the Falls. Loved the wineries and tours, antiquing. Loved reading and playing games on the front porch. Thank you for your hospitality! The kitchen supplies were fantiastic – we wanted for nothing. The house is tastefully decorated too!”
