This tri-level home is nestled on the Bodega Harbour Golf Course, a Robert Trent Jones golf links course. The house has open views and lots of privacy. Views of Tomales Bay and Point Reyes can be seen from the living room and upper deck. Upper deck is great for morning sun and beverages with oceanviews and views of the surrounding hills.

The kitchen and lower deck have views of Bodega Bay and Doran Beach and backs up to the golf course. Hot tub is located on a separate private deck making a total of three decks. Go down a few steps to the lower two bedrooms, each bedroom has queen beds and has a sliding glass door that leads out to the lower deck with views of the golf course, Bodega Bay and the beach. Upper loft has a queen pedestal bed, designed for great views of Bodega Bay and the beach. Great sunsets from the kitchen, lower deck and loft as the sun sets further west after the winter season. The large loft is roomy and has a comfy futon, TV/VCR and games and a special nook for quiet time.

Very comfortable home, with a free flowing floor plan with a flair for fun. Living room has three sofas. The brown leather sofa is a sofa bed. Dining room table seats eight comfortably. Beach is within walking distance. Enjoy watching the wildlife, White Egrets, California quail, jack rabbits and pastures complete with cows. Listen to the Sea Lions and the sound of fog horns. Beautiful sandy beaches, great for walking, exploring and tide pooling.

Why the Owner Chose Bodega Bay

We looked up and down the coast of California and as soon as I drove into Bodega Harbour I knew this was where I wanted to buy. It is a beautiful area. Most homes are layed out well and have views of the ocean. Our home has views from North to South and overlooks the 6th green in front and 3rd tee in back. Besides having views of the ocean and coastline we also have great views of the hills.

The Unique Benefits at this Single Family

Doran Beach is a great beach. You can walk for miles in either direction depending on the tides going to the North. Great tidepooling. Beautiful setting, rugged and pristine.

The location is great. We are close to San Francisco and the wine country. Even though Bodega is remote, stores are close. Lots of really good restaurants and great hiking trails. If our coast is fogged in you can drive a few miles inland or go to the Russian for sun.

I moved from the midwest to the west coast in 1965. I was based in San Franciso as a Flight Attendant for TWA. Another F/A fixed my husband and I up on a blind date. He was in construction at the time but later returned to school and became a social worker. After I quit the airline I worked in the mental health profession. We are now both retired. We both volunteer with the Big Brother Big Sister organization in Marin.

When we first started to rent our home we went through an agency but realized that the people did not care about hour home and things happened. After I retired I decided to rent the house on our own. It is important for me that people enjoy our home. We work hard at keeping the house in good condition and clean.

Bodega is close to the city of San Francisco and the vineyards of Sonoma. We have great restaurants, great beaches and great walking trails. Dogs are welcome on leash on the beach. We almost bought at one beach to the south and the next year they passed a law prohibiting dogs.

The beach below us, I call hidden beach and has great tide pooling. There is a trail down to it about 2 1/2 blocks from our home. It connects to the main beach, Doran Beach thru a cave.

The winds on the coast can be strong and the weather can be rough, especially during winter storms. Summers can be sunny or foggy. You never know about the weather. The good thing is that if you do want sun and fog has come in you can drive a few miles inland or go to the Russian River to find the sun.

Our golden "Cody" loves the beach too.

    • We just left Coast of Dreams after a week's vacation. This is by far the best vacation home we have stayed in. It's really clean and warm and inviting with all the amenities to make you feel at home. The views are beautiful and lots to do and places to eat out. We golfed, looked around the towns nearby and went to the wine country. Hopefully we will be able to go back next year and stay longer. We loved it!

    • I have a husband and two grown daughters with families of their own. We were all able to have a wonderful long weekend at the Coast of Dreams. We found the well stocked kitchen a wonderful surprise, and the rest of the house a perfect layout for three separate families. We loved the close proximity to the beach and town alike. One evening at sunset, we were at the beach and were treated to a large group of sea lions fishing right off shore!

    • Another year at the Coast of Dreams has come and gone...once again, way too fast! Staying at the Coast of Dreams is like coming home to a beautiful home and environment each year. There's so much to do in the area and to have such easy access to two beaches is wonderful! Even with the fog rolling in early a few evenings, we bundled up and enjoyed watching all the wildlife in the water and on the beach. This year we took full advantage of both beaches, the private hot tub, the cozy fireplace, plus took day trips up and down the coast, enjoying every minute of our stay. Thanks Millie for opening up your home to us so we could have a simply fantastic vacation and a wonderful home to stay in while we were there.

    • Our family of 5 had a fantastic time during our stay at 'Coast of Dreams', (Jun 09) and felt it was like a home from home, with well stocked kitchen, extensive DVD collection, guide books, games, everything we needed and more! The cool evenings were very enjoyable with the hot tub & cosy wood stove. Watching the sunset from the upstairs bed was delightful each evening. The location was great for exploring both the lovely Sonoma beaches and the wine country. Milly was very helpful providing us with useful tips beforehand to make our stay more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this rental to any of our friends!

    • We had a wonderful stay over a long weekend in May. Everyone (especially the dogs) enjoyed the beach, just a short walk away. The layout of the house was great - we could put the toddler to bed downstairs and the adults could stay up talking late upstairs without waking her. Thanks so much.
