Glen Ellen villa description
The Dolcevita Villa is nestled among mature oak trees in a bucolic setting near the quaint Village of Glen Ellen, which is one of the premiere winery towns in the very heart of Jack London's Valley of the Moon.
This Tuscan style home, built in 2006, is elegantly furnished with two bedrooms and two full baths on two separate floors for maximum privacy. Dolcevita, which means 'the sweet life' in Italian, boasts rich wood floors, king size & queen size beds, black granite gourmet kitchen, whirlpool tub, and spacious walk in shower.
The villa is an exclusive and romantic retreat with views of the nearby hills, and is less than one mile to the historic village of Glen Ellen, where there is fine dining, as well as some of the best wineries in the region. Morton Warm Springs swimming pool and mineral baths is three miles from the site. Jack London's State Park is two miles away with London’s museum, abundant hiking trails, the Wolf House Ruins, and redwood picnic grounds. Panoramic views of the Valley of the Moon can be seen from the park. Benziger winery is on the way up to this mountaintop vista and is considered one of the most beautiful wineries in Sonoma and offers a lovely tram tour of the vineyards.
Horse back riding and biking from the town of Glen Ellen to the regional park and beyond are awe-inspiring. Spend the day wine tasting, hiking and exploring Wine Country or lovely Marin, or stay at home in your private paradise, sipping wine under stars. There is wonderful shopping and entertainment in Jack London Village on a creek side setting, and 10 minutes away in historic Sonoma with its lovely town square filled with renowned restaurants and shops. Indulge yourselves in great food, luxury accommodations and beautiful, natural surroundings.
Enjoy the sweet life in this private, luxurious & magical setting. View our property website at dolcevita-villa.com.

Dolce Vita Wonderful
Dolce Vita Wonderful
Our visit to Dolce Vita could not have been better - even the weather was Great! it's like being in your own home, with all the comforts, including a fireplace. Warm, quiet street, very clean, close by wineries, shopping, restaurants, and hiking at a state park. The "Girl and the Fig" in Sonoma was our favorite restaurant, and we surprised ourselves by cooking "at home" several times. You cannot go wrong booking Dolce Vita - Donna and Chris are attentive to details and responded to out questions/needs immediately. Highly recommend - would definitely stay here again.

It was perfect! The place is like a little bit of Europe in calif. Warm, cozy, efficient use of space.(beds super comfortable). Very clean and well stocked. Best memory....Sipping wine on the patio watching a deer calmly graze in the back yard.

We had a great stay at this adorable 2 bedroom, 2 bath home in Glen Ellen! It's centrally located in Sonoma Valley - a perfect place for 2 couples to share. The bedroom on the 1st floor has a large stone/tile shower with a Tuscan flair - the upper floor bedroom has a walk-out to the deck - a good place to relax a bit and enjoy a glass of wine. The kitchen/family room is compact, yet has been designed and furnished to give it an open, airy, and comfortable ambiance. Everything was clean and neat - well maintained. All in all, a pleasant place to stay.

Wonderful wine country home
Wonderful wine country home
This beautiful and cleverly designed home is the perfect getaway for two couples who want to create their own bed and breakfast experience in the heart of Sonoma. The home is warm and inviting, with indulgent touches throughout. The downstairs private bedroom suite has a huge stone shower and is pleasantly supplied with plush towels and spa like bath products for the guests to use. The bed was like staying at a Marriot or better - very comfortable with luxury bedding. Although I didn't ask my sister and her husband (who we shared the rental with) I assume the upstairs bed and bath was just as nice! We did make full use of the well equipped kitchen (with upscale products and appliances) and we also enjoyed the outside deck and fire pit. Other than the awesome wine and food pairing we enjoyed at St Francis winery, we shared all our meals at the home. The layout and atmosphere were so nice that we much preferred it to any restaurant - not to mention all the money we saved cooking for ourselves that we could then spend on great wine! We sat outside each night by the fire pit - drinking wine and sharing stories. The design of the home makes beautiful and great use of the hillside property, but do take seriously the owner's caution about the size of your vehicles and the challenges with parking. It is very tight on a narrow lane Also, good mobility and the ability to use stairs is required especially when staying in the downstairs suite. There is a spiral staircase, which we found fine, but that might be a challenge for some. All in all, I would rate this property as 9.5 stars out of 10 (because of parking) and we hope to stay here again!
