Whether you surf, snorkel, fish, golf, read, practice yoga, ride horses, explore tide pools and caves, listen to music, enjoy the sun and a few margaritas, or just reflect under a canopy of stars, a stay at La Mariposa will reconnect you with your spirit and rejuvenate your soul.

La Mariposa was designed by a noted Mexican architectural team and built by native craftsman in 2005. It is located in the small village of Troncones on the west coast of Mexico where the translucent swell of the blue Pacific meets the Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains. La Mariposa, a magnificent 6500-square-foot home, provides a secure, private, and serene atmosphere with all the comforts you can imagine.

The Villa has four air-conditioned bedrooms, five bathrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a media room with a 52-inch US Satellite TV and DVD Player, iPod stereo with speakers throughout the house and pool area, and Wi-Fi Internet connection. A 40-foot Infinity pool and Palapa both overlook the beach. The Palapa is equipped with a wet bar, barbecue and seating for outdoor dining and relaxation.

A staff of two provides maid service and maintenance. Meals can be provided upon request.

  • We stayed at La Mariposa Jan.5-12 2008. It is the nicest house in the area. We have stayed in Trocones before because of it's uncrowded beaches & the laid back lifestyle.La Mariposa is far & away the class of the beach. If you go be sure & have Fanny & Oscar make Tamales. Also don't miss the local high school kids performing on Sunday nights at the Drunken Burro.We make 1 trip a year to Mexico & this was the best.

  • My family of 7 stayed in this magnificent home over the Easter Vacation period. We had 4 teens, my wife and I and even...my mother-in-law. What an amazing experience. I never thought that a beach home could be so luxurious, yet warm and inviting. It is something out of Architectural Digest. And for a location, Troncones is a "bit of heaven". It was a true paradise.
