We absolutely loved our vacation at the Condo in the Woods at Keystone! The owners Dave and Michelle were very helpful in answering all of our questions before we arrived. The condo was clean and looked just like the pictures posted on the website. We loved staying on the ground floor and having a patio we could walk out on in the back facing the beautiful wooded area. The peacefulness and quietness of the surroundings were welcomed. We didn't hear traffic and felt like we could get away from the hustle bustle of the resort. Our dogs loved their walks on the trails. The skiing is always great at Keystone and the shuttle is so close and convenient. We loved the clean well maintained hot tub afterwards. We were always the only ones in the hot tub! Besides skiing we enjoyed several restaurants including Dos Locos and the Breckenridge Brewery. The shopping in Breckenridge is amazing and the little town of Frisco with its shops and our favorite restaurant there, the Butterhorn Bakery and Cafe, are a must to visit. There are several small very nice museums to visit in Frisco and Breckenridge if you want to take a break from skiing. We have visited Keystone since 2004 and stayed at various locations. We are returning to the Condo in the Woods next year! It has everything we need and enjoy. Thank you Dave and Michelle for making your condo pet friendly. Quiet and relaxing

This was our 2nd stay at this condo. We love the location with easy parking, a quick walk to the shuttle to whisk you to the slopes, and... quiet. Everything is clean and well maintained. Not liking the hassle (and expense) of eating out we REALLY appreciate the is well equipped kitchen. It has everything you would need to prepare a home cooked meal. (We've stayed places which you could only "prepare" takeout). Sitting by the gas fireplace and looking at the pine trees is very relaxing at the end of the day. Being able to bring our dog, Razin, rounded out the "creature" comforts of home. From the front door, there are plenty of places to go for a walk but Razin's favorite is Peru Creek for some off leash hiking in the snow (~10 min car ride from the condo). Dave was very quick to respond to inquiries. Will definitely return!

Very Accommodating

We booked this unit well in advance of our stay and unfortunately our plans changed. At the time of our change in plans, we had already paid in full for the unit and we were going to be stuck paying full price even though we couldn't make it to the condo. Dave, the owner, spent a great deal of time working with us to find someone who could take the condo during the dates we booked. After all of Dave's hard work, another renter was found and we received nearly a full refund which saved us quite a bit of money. Dave was very helpful and accommodating and I can't say enough about his willingness to work with us.

We had a great stay at this condo. It was as advertised in every way. The nearby ski area was easily accessible. We really enjoyed the gourmet eatery that was less than a quarter-mile away. The property and grounds were maintained well and we enjoyed our stay despite the lack of snow on the mountains. we especially appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere.

This is our second visit to the condo in the woods and we love it! Such a great view and a comfy condo with cute decor. When we go we enjoy the hot tub in the complex, sitting out on the patio to enjoy the view and taking the corgis on walks. It's our new home away from home.

Wonderful cabin and location - Wish we stayed longer

The photos and listing description was exactly what we found. It was quiet - almost eerily quiet - but it is still close to everything. Keystone was almost a ghost town when we visited in mid-April, but the skiing in A-Basin (just a couple minutes down the road) was absolutely great. Dillon is a very short 6 miles down the road and had everything we needed (including great restaurants) since Keystone was mostly closed for the off-season. The owners were great and we did not have any problems. I would definitely recommend to others and/or stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Wonderful Experience

We had the best time. We were looking for something with the true mountain experience. The condo is surrounded by mountain and trees. We loved opening the shades to the outside and looking at the snowy mountain. We never felt like we were in a condo. The ammenities were great and the condo was very clean. The shuttle picks up at the end of the drive making it very convenient. My 9 yr old loved playing in all the snow after skiing. We could let him play without worrying about finding him outside. I would come back to this spot every year. The price is great and the condo is beautiful. Thanks to the owners for being so accomodating.

What a great getaway

We stayed at this clean, cozy, wonderful condo January 19, 2011 and we will definitely be coming back. The condo was everything we expected and more. The condo had plenty of room for 4 people and all the amenities to cook up a great meal. There are also a lot of great restaurants close by if you do not want to cook. The bed was extremely comfortable, the high speed internet was great and oh the hot tub really made these old bones feel great after boarding. The living room is great for sitting back and watching the snow fall outside. We were debating between this condo and something in River Run and we are glad we chose Trappers. The tranquility and wooded setting was exactly what we needed. We would recommend this lovely condo to everyone.

Everything you need away from home!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The condo was clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need, even a crockpot! The hot tub was just a few steps out the front door (this unit is the closest) and it felt great after a long day of skiing. The shuttle bus is very convinient and makes getting to the slopes easy (get off at the Mtn House, rather than River Run, shorter lift line and the lift is even closer to the bus stop). We would recomend this unit to everyone.

The townhome is extremely quiet and comfortable. In fact, we niehter saw nor heard anyone near the townhome more than once or twice during ouf four-night stay! This was very relaxing. If we could suggest one area of improvement, it would be the cleanliness. There were several dirty glasses (dried food on the outside of the glassward) in the cupboard, food splattered on the wall near the stovetop, and dried food spots on the kitchen rug. Also, there was a great deal of dog hair on the bedspread and elsewhere in the townhome. It seems that the cleaning crew could do a much better job, as the place is so beautiful in many ways, particularly its location at the end of the cul-ce-sac. Please write of call with any questions, and thank you for the opportunity to comment on our recent stay!

Owner response:We are surprised by these comments, we have not received similar comments from other guests. As you can see by all our other guest comments, the unit is repeatedly mentioned as clean and spotless. We will take these comments and work with our cleaning company to ensure they address these items. We wash our blankets and bed spreads on a monthly basis which I am sure exceeds hotels and other rentals.

We were here in August for 3 nights and found the condo nice and quiet - much to our liking. We could hear the stream running in the woods as we sat out on the patio enjoying the evenings. Nice Retreat

I needed a break from the city and getting up to the high country was a great option. This place was perfect for me, quiet, clean with the river running in the background. I have stayed all over keystone my entire life and this was my favorite because of how quiet the building was. Most places that are next to the mountain tend to get loud. The owners sent me all the details that made my stay simple. I needed wifi and that worked without any issues. I spent most of my days hiking above Montezuma which is just 10 minutes up the road. Dave, thank you for letting me stay in your place and I will look forward to leasing it again.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Condo in the Woods. We were so relaxed and hated to leave. The condo was exactly as described and even better than the pictures! It was welcoming, homey, and absolutely spotless. We spent many happy hours on the patio enjoying the view of the woods and the sound of the river. The owners, David and Michelle, were extremely helpful and sent lots of great information about the condo and the Keystone area prior to our stay. The location was perfect--biking distance to Keystone Village, close to Frisco (great kayaking on Lake Dillon--mom's idea), about 1.5 hours from Buena Vista (white water rafting--Awesome!--dad's idea) and Winterpark (alpine slide--daughter's idea). We discovered a great restaurant in Dillon that we highly recommend--The Dam Brewery--great microbrews and wonderful food and service. When we didn't enjoy dinner out, we made use of the well-equiped kitchen at the condo; it lacked for absolutely nothing! The best part was being able to bring our dog. She was thrilled to be included and enjoyed the many walks on the bike path and along the river.

This quaint condo was in a quiet neighborhood and was nicely decorated and clean. It was nice to sit on the patio and listen to the river behind the condo. Our two boys, age 9 and 11, loved playing in the river and riding their bikes in the quiet neighborhood. There are biking trails that lead into River Run that take less than 5 minutes. We also enjoyed the humminbirds buzzing around. The owners were very pleasant to work with. You can't beat the value.

My stay at this condo was perfect! Loved the location because it's tucked away from the crowds and traffic...at night all we could hear was the sound of the Snake River. The condo is spacious, clean, and has everything you need for a great stay. I also appreciated being able to bring my dog along because not many condos in Keystone are pet friendly. Dave was very accommodating and great to work with. I would definitely recommend this condo to family/friends, and stay here again in the future!

Condo In The Woods

What a wonderful, relaxing vacation spot. The sound of the Snake River from the patio was so soothing. The condo was spotlesslly clean, completely stocked kitchen, bed and bath, furnished comfortably - and even though we planned to "get away from it all", we really appreciated the wireless connection for our laptop and my nook. We felt like we were in the middle of a wooded mountain scene, but were able to walk to Keystone Village and River Run. I even took the bus from Breckenridge back to the Condo when my husband continued on to a fishing spot. We LOVED it there, and will definitely go back....and next time with our dogs, since it's pet friendly (although no signs of pets ever staying there, except for the picture of the adorable lab). Thanks to the condo owners for making this amazing place available to others.

We had a great time. Easy access to all the great skiing. Loved the fact we could bring the dogs. Full kitchen so we ate almost all of our meals there. Sometimes you just can't resisted a meal outside in Colorado on a beautiful spring day.

We stayed in this condo with our two kids (10 and 7) and our 70 pound Golden Retriever for Spring Break. There was plenty of room for all of us. The condo was well maintained and the view was great. We stayed here because of the pet-friendly atmosphere, but we would stay again even without the dog. We spent most of our time on the slopes, and this was a great place to come "home" to. It was everything that was promised and more!

We had a fantastic week in Keystone at your house! It was very clean and even ready early so we were able to take a few afternoon turns! The nature trail that is down the road, across the bridge was a great place to take our dogs. We enjoyed the kitchen and were impressed with the amount of utencils, pot, and pans there were. My mom and dad have taken me to this condo twice and this is the BEST place in Keystone if you are a dog!!! I am so close to hiking, nature trails and just playing in the forest. After a long day playing, I can relax and just enjoy looking out the back windows into the woods or warming up by the fireplace. P.S. My mom and dad think the condo is best for them too!!!

The condo is great for a ski getaway! 5 minute drive to Keystone gondola parking lot, very comfortable and spacious for two adults and a large labrador, nice fireplace and grill, well-equipped kitchen, super nice community hot tub and changing room, beautiful nature trail behind the house, quiet and attractive neighborhood. Great wi-fi and cable TV. Dave was very helpful and accommodating and had good tips about what to do and where to go. Our lab loved the condo too. Nine days wasn't enough. We hope to come back soon.

Absolutely our best Thankgiving trip ever. Wonderful 'Home away from home', Olli loved the backyard and the local flora and fauna. Day on Chihuahua Trail was priceless. I stayed in the condo for two weeks in July. It was clean and well located - I especially enjoyed hearing the snake river. Because of a previously canceled stay, I dealt with the owners extensively and found them friendly and responsive.

Owner response:Neil actually canceled a reservation with our unit past the refund date. We worked to rebook the dates and get him close to a full refund.

We enjoyed Dave and Michelles' condo in Keystone the first week in April. We like the large entry for leaving our ski boots and the kithen layout was great for cocktail hour! The view of the trees is magnificent and lends to a serene and quiet atmosphere! Thanks for sharing!

We stayed at this fantastic townhome the fall of 2007. We were looking for a townhome that allowed pets as we have two dogs that want to take weekend getaways too! The townhome was more than we expected. It was very clean,cozy with great mountain decor, it had everything we needed to lock ourselves away for a weekend and was close to trails for outdoor adventures! The hot tub that was right out the front door was definitely a perk too! The owners are friendly, accomodating and were truly invested in making sure our stay was a memorable one. We were extremely pleased and would highly recommend staying at this great townhome. Even with the Nebraska magnet on the fridge...us KU fans would stay there anytime we are in town!! This was a great condo for a long weekend ski trip at Keystone, although I would have love to stay longer. The bus just outside the condo going to the base of the hill made it a better location then having to drive there. It is very convenient. The condo was very cozy even for 4 adults and the Newfoundland for one night and perfect for 2 people the remaining time. The setting makes it very peaceful. The owners were very responsive to all inquiries and easy to work with on arrangements. I hope to return.

We had a wonderful, romantic 4 day getaway at the condo for my birthday, and couldn't have been happier! We loved the beautiful tucked away location and the fully stocked kitchen. The patio overlooking the river was lovely and relaxing at night. The trails around the corner that run along the river were great for a short hike with the dog. It was nice and cool with the entire back wall of windows and the screen doors to open up. I would recommend the condo to couples who need to get away everything and relax particularly! It was the first time in 3 years Bryan and I were truly alone and away from work, family, etc!

The condo was everything that it was advertised to be. It is in a great Keystone neighborhood, very quiet. We even saw a moose within yards of the condo!, The kitchen was well equipped if you want to cook. We appreciated the gas grill and also the screen doors. It would have been hot at night without them. We would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. Just the right space for the two of us and a perfect location backed up to the woods and creek. I had been to Keystone during other seasons, but never in fall. I wanted to see the aspen in their fall colors. It was a perfect vacation, because the fall colors were all around us.

Everything about this condo was excellent!! The owners are very quick to respond. The Colorado wildlife feel of the furnishings make this the perfect romantic hideaway. Hummingbirds visit outside as you listen to the sounds of the Snake River from the patio. All the comforts of home, we didn't want to leave! Keystone, Breckenridge and Dillon all have wonderful activities! We will be back!! Very restful and peaceful place, highly recommended!
