Why the Owner Chose Healdsburg
When we first saw this property, we knew within minutes that we wanted it. Whether you are city people, like we are or from the country (like we all once were), this property is beautiful. On the North side of the property, 50 feet tall, towering Pines offer a backdrop to the houses. Opposite on the South side of our property, there is a Eucalyptus grove with two Hawks that have taken residence in the trees for 30 years. We hope you are lucky enough to hear the unique, haunting sounds of these hawks while you are there. Our property also has a small, 50 year old Gravenstein heritage apple orchard that produces aromatic, flavorful apples. Each summer, we make lots of apple pies cider. Fruit comes in late July and early August, so book these weeks early.
The Unique Benefits at this House
It takes one hour and 20 minutes from our Noe Valley home to drive to The Harvest House. We are located less than 4 miles west of Hwy 101 on River Road, which is a scenic wine country road. The property is 10 minutes from Healdsburg, 15 minutes from Guerneville, and 25 minutes from downtown Calistoga. All of this convenience, yet the property is privately, tucked away offering a quiet country feel.
The Harvest House is our home and we are happy to offer it to you. We hope you choose to stay here.

We rented Harvest House for members of our family during our son's wedding. It was perfect for our group, because it provided privacy for everyone with the two guest houses. The house was attractive, comfortable, and well-maintained and not full of breakable items to worry about with young children in the house. The children's room off the master bedroom was perfect for our two young grandsons, complete with toys to explore. We did not do much cooking, but the kitchen was well equipped and would be great for large family meals. Loved the outdoor dining areas. The pool and the firepit were a big hit with everyone. Enjoyed wandering around the fruit trees looking for apples and plums. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and hope to come back again sometime.

This was an ideal set-up for a family gathering we had near Healdsburg. The three buildings on the property were lovely and we felt at home in this spacious and well kept residence. The pool was great and we enjoyed all the fruit and vegetables on the property. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed at Harvest House for our honeymoon. It was the perfect house for a relaxing, long week. The house is gorgeous and spacious with top quality details throughout. We enjoyed hours lounging by the pool in-between cooking gourmet meals in the beautiful kitchen our outside on the grill. There are ample fine dining restaurants nearby as well as local markets with a wide variety of local cheeses, produce and wine. Harvest House proved to be a great home base for day trips. We were less than an hour away from the beach and mere minutes away from wineries, redwoods and cute, country towns. We are looking forward to returning to Harvest House again. With ample room for 12, we might even invite friends along next time! Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend for two or a wine country getaway with friends & family, we highly recommend Harvest House.

We just got back from a wonderful weekend at Harvest House. We couldn't have imagined a better place: wonderful for children (a little bunk room full of toys!), perfect for more than 1 family since the individual houses offer privacy, very nicely decorated, great kitchen, lovely grounds full of plenty of exploring nooks and outside eating/relaxing areas, lovely pool and a nice location near wineries and Healdsburg. Five stars!

Our daughter was getting married in late August, and we needed a comfortable rental that would also allow us room to relax. Harvest House was an excellent fit. My wife and I had lived and raised our kids in Sonoma county, so we knew the places we wanted to be close to. The Harvest House allowed me to commute to Napa easily, and downtown Santa Rosa was just a few minutes away. Also, we saw the tremendous value in have a great kithchen. This saved us the cost and inconvenience of dining out. If you are going to be in Santa Rosa for more than 3 nights, compare the cost of a motel and eating out: Harvest House wins! You will find the property very well keep, with many cozy places to retreat to. We especially enjoyed the peaceful country setting, with cool breezes nightly. I would recommend Harvest house to any one visiting the Sonoma wine country or coastal areas. Doug & Kathy Murray

We stayed here for a weekend and invited our friends to stay in the studio cottage. It is perfect so that they don't intrude on our privacy, but yet we all hung out in the kitchen area most evenings and ate and socialize together. The studio has a small fridge and microwave but no other cooking areas (except for the outside grill). But the house has a big dining table and large appliances for entertaining. The house works well for small children as the owners have small children. My toddler really enjoyed all the toys stashed in the master closet (which serves as a perfect nursery as my child needs complete darkness to nap and sleep.) The house also has a high chair which we used every day. We barely had to do any child proofing in the house. There are barely any knick knacks around the house. So, we were able to let our children roam freely in the house. We forgot my child's swim diaper and was able to use the disposable ones and a floating vest already in the house. The house was clean and the pantry had some basic staples. Our friends really enjoyed the weekend in their private cottage. The children loved running around in the enclosed driveway and lawn area and petting and feeding the friendly outdoor cat. The cat was my daughter's favorite part of the weekend.

We stayed in the main house to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday, and for a "just the two of us" getaway. It was fabulous. We made good use of the kitchen, and the house felt like home. We did not get to enjoy the grounds as much as we would have liked because of the weather, but for those staying here during good weather the pool and grounds would just add to the experience. All in all, just our time in the house alone was so fabulous. Everything was comfortable, very nice, clean, and well maintained. Just fabulous. And the location is a perfect base for exploring Sonoma County wine country. There are excellent wineries just down the road (our personal favorite was Harvest Moon ... superb!), and within easy driving distance. Get a good map and explore, you will be so glad you did. Beautiful country. And so many fantastic restaurants in the area (The Girl and the Fig was a big hit, as was Ravenous in Healdsburg). Healdsburg is such a great little town (try the downtown bakery!!). We will definitely return to Harvest House and Sonoma County ... it was a perfect week. Doug and Shelly

My husband and I came with our two kids and we had so much fun. The kids loved exploring the acres of apple orchard yet they were always within sight or earshot. It's a perfect family getaway for city folks. We also loved the easy location and the wineries nearby. We hope to come back soon!

We stayed at this house for a wonderful girls weekend in the wine country to celebrate 40th birthdays in April. This house is very private yet easy to find. It was really nice to come back in the evenings and enjoy the outside space as well as the indoor living areas. The home is updated with comfortable furnishings and very clean.
