Cadasse and Orchid Cottage are in a quiet location perfect for a Caribbean vacation. They are set in a fully enclosed tropical garden of nearly an acre. Tropical fruits are available from the garden when they are in season. Most facilities are only 5 minutes drive away. These include both Caribbean and Atlantic beaches. The Caribbean beaches are best for swimming as the sea tends to be calmer there. The Atlantic beaches are popular with widsurfers due to the prevailing onshore winds. The international standard golf course can be seen from the property and is within walking distance, the club house has a good restaurant.
Crime is generally not a serious problem but both properties have a security system linked to a central control with rapid response units.
Generally guests hire a car, but this is not essential as taxis are readily available. Each property has its own phone and local calls are free.
Expect year round 30 degree centigrade daytime temperatures and night time temperatures about 24 degrees centigrade.
The trade winds make being here particularly pleasant.
Cadasse is a very spacious luxury three bedroom, villa. Entry is by means of electric gates leading to a very pleasant inner courtyard garden. Entry to the villa is from this inner courtyard.
All bedrooms are air conditioned. There are breathtaking panoramas from the numerous balconies and rooms. There is plenty of space for oustide living so the Caribbean climate can be enjoyed to the full. There is a large pool. Maid service is 6 days per week.
Orchid Cottage has its own gated entrance and being very well screened it has an intimacy that makes it a perfect location for honeymooners. There is one air conditioned bedroom with king sized bed. The lounge opens onto a large covered terrace ideal for al fresco dining. It has its own plunge pool with sun decks. A double hammock is to be found in a small garden area. There is maid service 3 days per week.

This was our first experience in St. Lucia and it was outstanding. The accommodation at Orchid Cottage was one of the reasons. It was well kept and the staff were most friendly and accommodating. The whole property, including Villa Cadasse was beautiful. Situated in the hills of Cap Estate, the views of Cas-en-Bas and the countryside were brilliant. The cottage itself was just the right size for the two of us and had everything we needed for our stay, including a charcoal grill which we used quite a lot for the local fish and chicken. The cottage is just below Villa Cadasse and is very private. We knew that Villa Cadasse had the full sized pool but we found that the plunge pool was perfect for the cottage. Beaches at Cas-en-Bas and Gros Islet were just minutes away if we needed a good swim in the salt water. We would recommend however, a car rental as the driving in St. Lucia is easy and the roads well maintained. St. Lucians are very friendly and courteous people on and off the roadways. Jo and Malcolm were very easy to contact and answered all of our questions quickly. It was an easy decision to stay at their beautiful St. Lucian estate. We highly recommend it and like us, you may never want to leave."

We had a GREAT time at the Orchid Cottage. The most absolute perfect vacation. We recommend staying here to everyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing, breathtaking getaway; rather than staying at any hotel, You won't be dissapointed . As for us, we will be back to enjoy it again as soon as we can.

We had a wonderful stay in Orchid Cottage, and we were really sad that we had to leave. Thanks too to Caecilia and Brian for taking such good care of us. The cottage and the level of service were way beyond our expectations, and the island was to us one of the most marvelous places imaginable to spend a holiday.

We stayed at Villa Cadassee in May 2009. We were a little skeptical at first on the drive to the house.Once we arrived all our anxiety was gone.It was everything we expected and more. We would reccomend this house at the Northern tip of the island to anyone. It is incredible. The view is beautiful, and our family loved it. We will go again. Hopefully soon.

We stayed at Orchid Cottage for five nights in May, 2009. It was simply spectacular. Located in Cap Estate at the northern tip of the island, the location is upscale and romantically remote - perfect for a honeymoon. Rather than rent a car, we either walked or relied on cabs - for quick and easy trips to Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay, and beyond. Wonderful!!
