The Brilliance of Bruges A cobbled street. A wooden door through a stone arch. Such began our stay in Bruges. We were met straight off the train by our munificent host who personally drove us to our wonderful accommodation – a modern, spacious penthouse plum centre in a medieval, mist-laden city. Walking out onto the roof terrace the bell tower was lit up to the west, Jerusalem Church to the east. Fruit and chocolates greeted our arrival, as did mountains of fresh towels, maps with circled bakeries, big, comfortable beds and a huge TV with an ‘In Bruges’ DVD ready to watch. Our days were easy. The rooms are so close to all the sites, the bars and the restaurants we could literally come and go all day with no need for taxis. This is a lovely place to stay with charming owners to match. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of four had a fantastic time in Bruges. The apartment is even better in person, perfectly located and full of charm, an oasis within an oasis! So much better than a hotel. Marc was an exceptional host, greeting us at the train station and making sure that we were settled in, including recommendations for dining and day trips, not to mention Belgian beer and chocolates upon arrival at the apartment. My 14 year old daughter and 11 year old son had a memorable Bruges experience and both are eager to go back, as are we. Bruges is a magical place and you couldn't ask for a better place to call your temporary home away from home, we can't wait to return!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Highly recommend this apartment, it's as good as the pictures and very spacious. The owners, Marc and Rica, are genuinely interested In you having an enjoyable trip and making things as easy and comfortable as possible The location is just where you'd want it , very close to the main centre, but down a quiet street so you're not affected by noise. We had a great time even dodging the rain.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment was altogether wonderful as were the owners. My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights on our visit to Bruges to celebrate her 50th birthday. The apartment itself has the charm of a historic structure with all of the renovations of a modern place. Kitchen and bathroom both very nice. Windows sealed very tightly to make the place quiet when desired Amenities were excellent as well. Good restaurants, and interesting shops are available a few steps out the door, as well as essentials such as grocery and pharmacy. Marc, the owner couldn''t have been more accommodating. He was available via email months before the stay to answer any questions we had about visiting Bruges. We had detailed directions to the flat from Brussels airport, and he was available via text or phone to help us arrive easily. He gave excellent suggestions on restaurants which guided us to some interesting places off the beaten path, and was available via phone during our stay. This was an excellent place to stay and I recommend it highly!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We have just returned from a full month in this wonderful penthouse apartment located in Brugge, Belgium. We could not have made a better choice - Marc & Rita were exceptionally hospitable, full of great information about Brugge and even supplied a complete current supply of brochures and maps for all the nearby attractions and sights. We would highly recommend this penthouse for it's comfort and easy access to the best Brugge has to offer.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The penthouse was very centrally located but also peaceful, light, atmospheric, spotless and immaculate. The owner Marc was extremely friendly and helpful (Thanks for everything Marc). We used the bikes provided to cycle to Sluis and Blankenberge both very enjoyable on flat almost traffic free lanes. Loved the beer at the half moon brewery and soaking up the history walking around beautiful Bruges.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.

We were two good friends spending a weeks vacation in this apartment in April 2011. The apartment is a great apartment, especially the roof garden is brilliant, but the living room is nice and spacious as well. Since there is only one big and one small bed room besides the sofa in the living room converting to a double bed (and a curtain can be drawn so there is a bit of privacy) and only one bathroom it is most suitable for smaller parties. There are a few sets of stairs to negotiate as well, a bit narrow, so something to keep in mind. We only had breakfasts in the apartment, the kitchen space is somewhat limited, so wouldn't really want to cook big dinners there, but I am sure it can be done. The situation is great within the centre of Bruges, and everything is within a very short walk. The owner was extremely helpful, sent us lots of relevant info before the trip, and gave us much good advice when we arrived. Everything went smoothless, and we had no complaints. Bruges is a bit expensive, so that is one thing to keep in mind. I strongly recommend excursions to Ypres and the surrounding areas, and Gent is also well worth a visit while there.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent four nights in this apartment in March 2011. It is very well appointed and extremely comfortable, with a lovely outdoor terrace. It is located within minutes of all of Bruge's attractions. Marc met us at the station and also assisted with our departure. He was at all times helpful and informative, even providing us with a fruit platter, Belgian chocolates and a bottle of fine Belgian beer! If you are ever in Bruges this is the place to stay and be sure to take a cruise on the canal and look out for the dog snoozing with his head on a pillow hanging out of an open window!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

the first thing we should note that Bruges was intended as an intermediate point between Amsterdam and Paris, as a quiet place to relax and just three days. But the day of departure to any of us do not want to go to Paris. Penthouse was above all praise! Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms - everything was couched in the same charming style. Light in the room set up perfectly. And finally, another story terrace. Coming at it - you do not want to go back into the house! Want to sit at the table is constantly changing perspective - all three main towers are reviewed wonderful - especially in the evenings when the lights turn on. In fact - from 3 days half the time I spent in the house, while my friends-photographers snapped thousands of pictures of Bruges. For me it was a special experience - to feel the people of this truly one of the most beautiful cities of old Europe. This has pushed more and amazing friendliness and kindness of the hosts, with whom we have also had little time to get acquainted. But! We will definitely return here in late summer! Unless we find a free day-all busy until September. In general: if you go to Bruges -only to Mark and his family! The house will meet all your expectations, it is beautiful, like the rest of Bruges. Bruges in our hearts forever!PS -The best chocolate,the best beer - is also of Bruges ?????? ????? ???? ????????, ??? ?????? ???????????? ??? ????????????? ????? ????? ??????????? ? ???????, ? ???????? ?????? ????? ??? ?????? ? ????? ?? ??? ??? . ??, ? ???? ??????? ?? ?????? ?? ??? ??? ?? ???????? ????? ? ?????. ???????? ??? ???? ?????? ??????! ?????, ????????, ?????? ???????, ??????? - ??? ???? ?????????? ? ??????? ???????? ?????. ???? ? ????????? ???????? ???????????. ? ???????- ???????- ????????? ???????. ????? ?? ??? - ?? ?????? ???????????? ? ???! ??????? ?????? ?? ?????? ????????? ????? ?????? - ??? ??? ???????? ????? ??????????????? ???????????? - ???????? ???????? ????? ?????????? ?????????. ?????????? - ?? 3? ???? ???????? ??????? ? ?????? ? ????, ???? ??? ??????-????????? ??????? ?????? ?????????? ??????. ??? ???? ???? ?????? ?????? - ??????? ???? ??????? ????? ???????? ?????? ?? ????? ?????????? ??????? ?????? ??????. ??! ?? ??????????? ???????? ???? ? ????? ????! ???? ??????? ?????? ????????? ????- ??? ?????? ?? ????????. ? ?????: ???? ????? ? ?????? - ?????? ? ????? ? ??? ?????! ??? ????????? ??? ???? ????????- ?? ?????????- ??? ? ???? ??????. ?.?. - ?????? ???????, ?????? ???? - ??? ???? ??? ???Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
