Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, where you can enjoy fabulous water activities and scenery. The house is less than 1 hour from Glacier National Park and 30 minutes from Glacier International Airport. Nearby are numerous golf courses, antique shops, and summer playhouses. Enjoy spectacular views of the lake, Mission Mountains, and Wild Horse Island, where during a simple hike, you can see bighorn sheep, deer, bald eagles, osprey, and, of course, wild horses!
This 2500 square feet house sits on 100 feet of prime Flathead Lake frontage on a one-acre property. It comfortably sleeps eight in three bedrooms and a loft, has 2 bathrooms and a complete kitchen, and provides you with beautiful mountain and lake views, new dock, new deck, and a lawn down to the lake. Fifteen fruit trees adorn the front yard.
Here you have your own private beach and yard and dock! Plenty of room for volleyball and badminton, horseshoes and croquet. The views from this lovely home are exceptional with the lake and mountains literally right out your back door. Walk right out on to the lawn and take a dip in the water. The beach stone firepit is great for nighttime s’mores-making.
Bring your water toys, golf clubs, enjoy the fresh air and bird watching, or visit the many Flathead area attractions. Between Polson and Bigfork and Kalispell, you'll find the convenience of shops, restaurants, arts, and entertainment. You can rent boats and Sea-Doos in Lakeside, 10 to 15 minutes away.
During the winter, Blacktail Mountain Ski area is close by and is a great for families. There are cross-country trails up there as well. Whitefish Mountain Resort is less than an hour away!

Thank you so much for sharing your "Home Away from Home" with me and my family. The place was everything your VRBO posting said it would be and more. The dock, boat lifts and fire pit provided hours of enjoyment around the lake for all of us. Sitting under the full moon with a fire going and the waves gently lapping at the beach made for great long talks, and a great nights sleep. The cabin was cozy with lots of amenities. We loved your suggestions for places to go eat and shop, and took advantage of many of them. I hope we can squeeze a week out all our future summers to come and spend it at your place again and again. We loved your place!

We loved this house, it was everything we were looking for and the owner is great. House has a beautiful large living room, it's easy to walk to the water, lovely deck for dinners at sunset. Bedrooms are large. Kitchen is nice. would love to stay there again. Perfect. We were 6 people, and had loads of elbow room.

Lovely and comfortable house, magnificent setting. All the amenities for summer on the lake. Deck and grill setup really comfortable for 8 with the kitchen right through a slider. A fire pit beside the water for those long beautiful evenings. We are water/boat people, and there was a buoy to anchor my sailboat and a lift for the powerboat. Some of us did yoga on the dock in the morning greeting the rising sun. The owners were engaged and helpful in the process. We are going back this year.

We had a fantastic time at your beautiful, comfortable home - we were all sad to leave. What a gorgeous view from the living room windows - couldn't soak up enough of it - guess pictures will have to do. Rented a boat - did lots of fishing, sightseeing, and cruising the antique shops. Hope to do this again in the near future - only this time we all agreed we would like to stay longer!!! Thanks again Ellen - we had a super time, Cheri
