We are close to a variety of Northern Michigan's primary destinations, historic resort towns (Harbor Springs, Mackinaw City, Petoskey) and attractions (Mackinac Bridge, Wilderness State Park, Boyne Highlands, Nubs Nob).
Our cottages are located in a natural, private, wooded area adjacent to a sandy beach and the crystal clear waters of Lake Michigan. Enjoy a stroll along Lake Michigan's unspoiled beaches or through the surrounding woods. Top-rated championship golf courses are just a short drive away, as is Wilderness State Park, the majestic dunes at Sturgeon Bay beach and a variety of boating, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, picnicking, and hunting opportunities.
Our newly remodeled cottages consist of vaulted ceiling living rooms and eat-in kitchens, two bedrooms (each with a double-size bed), and bathroom. They are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and cooking utensils.
Historic Legs Inn sits atop the high bluff overlooking the cottages and Lake Michigan. Called a monument to nature, Legs Inn is a registered State of Michigan Historic Site that is a blend of Old World European and Indian cultures, which serve to create a truly memorable atmosphere. The entrance hall, tavern, game rooms, and dining rooms are all filled with an intriguing collection of nature and hand carved furniture: whimsical creations made of tree stumps, twisted limbs and roots, sculptures of driftwood, and huge fireplaces.
For the past 80 years, Legs Inn has become a favorite Northern Michigan destination that has been acknowledged and praised by major magazines (Car and Driver, Men's Journal, Taste of Home, Midwest Living), newspapers (USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press), tour guides, and guests from across the country and around the world.
Authentic Polish cuisine is Legs Inn's specialty. Delicious American dishes, including a variety of fresh fish specialties, are also served in the unique dining rooms and outdoor patio. Take in the panoramic views of four different lighthouses (Skilligalee, Gray's Reef, White Shoal and Waugoshance), as well as the magnificent sunsets over Lake Michigan from the beautiful landscaped gardens.
The main tavern, which features a bar sculpted from a massive hemlock tree, offers a complete selection of wine, frozen drinks, cocktails, coffee drinks, and over 100 varieties of beer from around the world. Live musical entertainment is also featured on weekends throughout the summer. |
