The Pond House
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia, USA (Between Gordonsville and Orange; 30 minutes from C'ville)
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 1 Bath (Sleeps 7)
Vacation on our 600 acre horse and cattle farm and stay in our Pond House, on the shore of one of the most beautiful ponds you can imagine. Children and adults enjoy fishing, hiking the woodland trails, watching the constant activities of nature around the pond, watching the horses and cattle, and horseback riding with our neighbors at Oakland Heights.
The Pond House was totally rebuilt and refurnished in 2004. It has two bedrooms (one queen, one bunk bed with double bed on bottom), plus a den with queen-sized pull-out couch.
The best feature, however, is the screened back deck overlooking the gorgeous pond.

Watch cows and other farm activities that happen to be going on, Hot tub at main house available to Pond House guests, Lots of nearby wineries, antique shops, historic sites (Monticello - 15 miles, Montpelier - six miles, Wilderness - 20 miles), museums (Exchange Hotel Civil War Museum - three miles, Madison Museum - six miles), and shopping, However, most families have trouble getting the kids to leave the farm, Thirty minutes to Skyline Drive.

$250/night .. $1250/week; $25/extra guest over 12 years old.
Additional Guests: $25-$125 (guests over 12 years old).
Rates are for up to four guests. $25.00 discount for week-nights.
