Ballard and San Juan Mountains, over Bear Creek, looking out over the Victorians on Colorado Avenue below. The dining room window looks out at Telluride's free Gondola, connecting the historic town below, with the Mountain Village above, the center of Telluride's ski resort operations.

The new town post office, adjacent to Town Park, is just a few steps away. Restaurants, shops, guides and outfitters all within easy walking distance of the Silver Hirsch. During our Summer Festival Season, you can hear the music from the main stage in the park through your windows. SHC is on the "sunny side" of the street on Colorado Avenue, Telluride's "Main Street".

Owner's Map of Heart of Telluride
I bought this property because the location was centrally located in town of Telluride as well as being close to the restaurants and nightlife and a stones throw to the park and ski lifts. In addition to all of this the bus stops directly in front of the unit. The location is dynamite!!! Since we live by the airport in Telluride, my 14 year old daughter wants to stay at the Silver Hirsch Colorado all the time, but it is usually rented.
Guests love staying there since the accommodations are so great.

We were very happy with this rental-property was even better than we expected. Very comfortable beds, nicely decorated and a super location. Danny, the owner was very personable plus he got us a fantastic deal on our lift tickets!This saved us A LOT of money and enabled us to ski more days than planned. I would defintely stay there again and would give it an A+ all around!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Danny was an outstanding landlord. His place is perfect. Right downtown in the heart of Telluride. You even get a parking pass which is very helpful. The apartment has everything in it and more. The washer/dryer was a bit challenging, but other than that it doesn't get any better.
