OURS IS A TRUE 2 BEDROOM/2 BATH + BUNK ROOM + SLEEPER SOFA
Clarification: Some of the units at Lighthouse advertised as 2 BR/2 Ba actually have 1 full BR, a bunk room, 2 Baths and a very small living/dining area. Just in case you're really looking for 2 full BRs, we wanted to clarify that IS what our unit has (plus a very small bunk room plus a larger living/dining area than the 1 BR/bunk units!).
Our unit is on the 15th floor, almost Penthouse level!!, so if you have a fear of heights, this one is not for you (see our 1st floor Tradewinds Condo). It's hard to believe that Lighthouse is almost 4 years old! We have recently tiled the living area an upgraded the bedrooms with designer carpet. With Tuscan red warmth and a mix of new and antique, quaint and comfortable we think you'll enjoy this year's trip to the beach completely. We do hope you agree that we have more character than the usual all white, wicker Condo rental.
The building is loaded with amenities plus we've tried to add some nice up-grades for your special family vacation. After you park on the 2nd level in the covered parking deck (or third level - not covered- if 2nd is full), take one of the middle high speed elevators to your heavenly home above the Gulf of Mexico. Your front door is just steps away to the east of the central elevators. Windows all the way across the Gulf side of the condo, living area and master bedroom frame the 635' of private beach & oceanfront.

There is a king-size (Select Comfort Sleep #) bed in the master bedroom, a queen-size (Select Comfort Sleep #) bed in the guest room, a bunk room for the kids (sleeps two) and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area. As there are only two bathrooms, though nice, we don't recommend this unit for more than six adults. The bunks are custom built in a separate, small room and are very sturdy but not intended for adults.
There are Direct-TV-connected flat screen LCD TVs with DVDs in the living (37"), master (32") and guest rooms (27"). There is a stereo with CD changer in the entertainment center in the living area, 3 clock radios in the unit and 3 telephones for local calls. The building has wireless internet service.
The Dining Table seats six or there is barstool seating at the kitchen counter for four.
Our unit is centrally located in the building, just steps away from one of the four (4) high-speed elevators to carry you from your covered parking space.
The condo is equipped with a TempSaver system that allows guest bto regulate the condo temperature between 66-76 degrees.
The building is loaded with amenities: 2 Gulf Front swimming pools, indoor heated swimming pool, nicely-equiped exercise room and sauna, Hot tubs, as well as enclosed lobbies surrounding the elevators.
ADDITONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* Must be 25 or older to rent unit; Adults & families only.
* $300 refundable reservation/security deposit due within one week of making reservation; $500 deposit for snowbird rentals
* Full rental price + 11% Lodging Tax due 14 days prior to reservation date. $85 cleaning fee. $15 car registration (max 2)
* Weekly rentals only mid-March thru Oct; weekly rental only for Thanksgiving week (Nov. 19-26); 3 night minimum otherwise
* No Smoking and No Pets

Any large commercial building of this size may have maintenance, repairs or improvements made from time to time. Examples may include but are not limited to painting, cleaning, elevators, pool heaters, vandalism to building or grounds.
Even nearby construction may be distracting but not under the control of our Association. Individual owners have very little voice as to timing. We will disclose anything that we are aware of that could cause your vacation to be less than perfect. But, just as with the weather, cable or utility outages, etc ... some things are outside of our control. We do wish you a Perfect Vacation!

Condo was fantastic! Wonderful view, comfortable and felt like home. The elevators were very convienently located near the condo; but there was a barrier from the noise which was nice; the condo was very quiet! Our daughter (7 yr old) slept in the bunk room which is located on the outside wall near the front door; she slept hard through the night without any problems from outside noise. The lighthouse was also perfect; great pools and hot tubs; workout facility was nice. Plenty of great carts for getting luggage to the condo. Only 0.7 miles from the main intersection in Gulf Shores; close to everything. Enormous size beach area in front of the lighthouse; walk to beach from condo is short; plenty of beach chairs to rent. We had a great stay and really loved the condo; I would highly recommend it.

Loved everything about this unit. Furnished great with sleep number beds. Everything was clean and in working order. The whirlpool bath was very relaxing. Security was visible and very friendly. I will be booking it again.

My family stayed at the condo from 5/28/2011 thru 6/4/2011 and everything is just as shown in the photos. I had never rented through VRBO, but it was a pleasure dealing with Scott Hannah. He responded promptly to all my questions and provided me with information on local attractions and restaurants. I like to cook and the kitchen is well stocked and organized. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and we spent many mornings out there watching the dolphins.. We will definitely return here next year, if not sooner!

We stayed at the condo in Mid November. Everything was clean when we arrived. The condo was a very comfortable palce to stayand i enjoyed everything about it. The pictures simply do not do it justice. When you wake up you can see the ocean out of the master bedroom glass doors, and the view from the balcony was amazing.

We stayed in mid Sept, and we absolutely loved this place. The unit was roomy, very nice but also very comfy. We absolutely loved the location, within walking distance to several restaurants, bars, and stores. We really liked Sea N Suds and the Hangout. The view was absolutely amazing....being on the 15th floor was great because you couldn't hear the people in the pool area while relaxing on the huge balcony. The property was also very nice (zero entry pool with fountains was great for our 1 yr old). Lastly, the owners were what made this place stand out from the rest. They were extremely accomodating, helpful, understanding, and really fast in responding to any and all questions. I would highly recommend this place for a great stay in gulf shores, whether you want a relaxing time away from it all, or a fun exciting vacation!

We really enjoyed the condo. It was well maintained and it looks better in person than in the pictures. I loved the view from the balcony. The owners were easy to work with and answered all of our questions. The location was perfect and many restuarants were close by (The Gulf Island Grille was our favorite...Lamberts in Foley was also a lot of fun). The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed going out onto the pier. We took a short trip to Pensacola and saw the Blue Angels practice which was awesome. Since the weather is cool at the end of March, it would have been nice to have heated outdoor pools, but we were able to use the indoor pool and hot tubs to compensate for the weather. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is the perfect place. We hope to return for spring break next year.
