Four of us found this apartment perfect for our week long stay in Paris. Well situated in the heart of the 6th, it is an easy walk to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and Notre Dame. FERIDA was most helpful in making all of our arrangements. The apartment is comfortable and gives one the freedom to enjoy their leisure time. The only thing needed when we arrived was paper products. All in all we highly recommend this apartment to others looking for a centrally located place to stay!
Owner response:Thank you so much and how kind of you Sue to take the time to write a review. I am very glad that you enjoyed your stay in the apartement and weren't disturbed by the workers repaiting the external WC. My very best wishes to all, Ferida

The apartment could not have been situated in a more ideal location. Centrally located, the apartment is steps away from Le Deux Magots and Bon Marche. It is easy to walk to all major museums and tourist destinations. The apartment is set back from the street and is very quiet. The owner, Ferida, was very nice. She met us at the apartment and showed us how to use all of the appliances and welcome us to her property. Additionally, she was quick to help facilitate the return of items that were left behind when we left. I am not rating this apartment 4 or 5 stars for several reasons: The 2nd bathroom is actually not in the apartment. It is outside of it on a private courtyard. Additionally, there had been a recent leak above the bathroom and the wall was saturated with water. Unfortunately, it had a decidedly unpleasant odor. We were told the leak had just happened and was being fixed soon. With 4 people it was challenging to have only one acceptable bathroom. Aside from the moldy water closet, we were only left with 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for a week. I rent on VRBO often and was pretty shocked when Ferida told us that she only provided this and should we need more, to buy our own. We also had to buy dish soap, paper towels and coffee filters. 4 of the lightbulbs in the house were burnt out upon our check in. We had to pull out the ladder and change lightbulbs come evening. For the amount of money, I feel like the apartment could have been better stocked and maintained. Climbing ladders to change lightbulbs and buying cleaning products isn't really expected when you are on vacation and paying for a "Superb" apartment. Overall, though, the apartment was nice and I'm actually sorry not to rate the apartment higher. If the bathroom issue is fixed, I would change my review to 4 stars and recommend to friends or family.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to write such a long review. Thank you also for your positive comments and constructive feedback that will help me improve the quality of the apartment! Regarding the bathroom incident. Indeed, there was a problem during your stay with the external WC due to a leak from the neighbours upstairs. A plumber has since repaired the leak. Unfortunately it needs a little time to dry before repainting the space, which is independent from my will but will be done at the earliest possible time. My apologies for the coffee filters, I thought there was a full packet in a cupboard. As for the bulbs, I recall you mentioning on the phone that only a single bulb was dead but not 4 of them!! As I am aware that a bulb can break during a stay, that is why I always make sure there are spare ones in a drawer, which gives the client the autonomy of changing it or them. Most guests are very happy having spare bulbs in a drawer that allows them the tranquility of changing them themselves. That is the reason why telling you where the bulb storage was occurred to me as the best and faster way to solve the problem you were facing. I am particularly available for my clients so asking me to come over and change a bulb for you would not have been a problem at all. I sincerely believe it was a misunderstanding. Once again, thank you. Férida

This apartment was perfectly depicted by word and photos. It was in a great location making it easy to get around. The apartment was clean, comfortable, well stocked with necessities and the owner extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. Also, very quiet if you like to sleep in. We were two couples and would definitely rent this apartment again. It was not the first time for either of the couples to visit Paris and both agreed that this was the way to go!
Owner response:Thank you Louise for this very kind review. I did enjoy meeting you all!! Many happy good wishes for the new year and may be see you again in the future. Ferida

Our group of 4 (Mother, Father, Son, & Girlfriend) spent 3 nights here last November and couldn't have been happier! The flat itself is very charming and comfortable, but the best part is the location. It is located in the heart of the left bank, walking distance from several classic cafes & restaurants and even many of the famous attractions (Notre Dame, Louvre, Luxembourg Park etc). We could have stayed forever! Furthermore the owner is very friendly & generous. Example: On our way to catch the Eurostar we realized we left two of our passports locked in the flat and the owner bent over backwards to help us hastily retrieve them. Thank you Ferida! We look forward to our next stay!

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) found this apartment to be perfect for our needs. It is well appointed (with all mod cons including a local landline and wifi connection); brilliant location as you can walk to the Metro/RER and tourist sites; the new couch comfortably slept our 6ft 2in son and the apartment was near all my favourite eateries and shops! What more could one ask for! Ferida, apologies, I forgot to add my favourite restaurant to your notes. We went there for our daughter's birthday and 10 years on . . .it's still wonderful - Bistrot d'Opio. It's walking distance from your apartment. You might want to make a note in your folder that you need to book as you won't get in otherwise. We booked on-line and it worked perfectly. Many thanx Ferida for all your help. You're a wonderful source of local knowledge and very quick to amend any issues (which were minor) we had in the apartment. Other than our lost luggage . . . our stay in Saint Germaine was brilliant!

We are just wrapping up a fantastic stay here in St. Germain des Pres of 10 days and all 6 of us have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ferida quickly took care of a couple of minor requests and the new sofa bed is very comfortable. The location is perfect. We can walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and many other attractions. As well, the Monoprix supermarket is just around the corner. The apartment has been a quiet, clean respite each night after days spent walking and climbing stairs of towers and cathedrals.
Owner response:I so appreciate Ian your very fast review. A huge help to the future guests concerned with the sofa bed being replaced. It was a pleasure to meet you all. Have a very safe return on Monday. All my very best wishes to all, Ferida

Thank you..spent two weeks in this large spacious apartment and had a wonderful time. The location is one of the finest in paris as it is in the heart of the city...close to everything. We made delicious coffee every morning and enjoyed the eclectic parisean radio station... Showers were great and the extra toilet in the foyer outside the apartment served us well. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bed linens and pillows were lovely. 2 items for improvement... The pull out couch is not comfortable and the towels need upgrading. one minor item.....toilet paper was not in good supply. Being May 1 when I arrived the stores were closed....but we made it to the next day...monoprix is just around the corner and has great prices and selections of everything. We are looking forward to our next trip to Paris again. Thank you Ferida for your lovely retreat in the most exciting city in the world.
Owner response:Thank you Lynn for writing a comment. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Paris and in the apartement. Best wishes to all. A new pull couch has been ordered and should be in the apartement by June 11th at the latest.

We loved the apartment! It was perfect with plenty of living space for our family of five. Everything worked right; it is well equipped and very tastefully decorated. It is in a great and quiet location a few blocks from the Seine River which we used as our "starting point" for our daily tours. (We recommend the Bato-bus river boat for touring the big sights of Paris). The apartment was perfect for all of us to have space to relax when needed. Ferida was excellent. She answered our mails and questions very promptly. The entire experience was outstanding. The neighborhood information was very helpful. It was really convenient to use the well equipped kitchen for many meals.
Owner response:Thank you so much Rob for taking the time to write a very positive review. I'm so glad that you and your family enjoyed your time in Paris. Maybe see you again one day!

This apartment is in a great location, and it is clean, secure, quiet, easily accessible, and spacious, by Parisian standards. I stayed here for six nights with my daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, ages 8 and 5. It would be perfect for four people, but because of the uncomfortable pull-out sofa bed, I cannot recommend it for five. There are comfortable sofa beds ( some with memory-foam mattresses) available these days, and I have slept on them in Paris, but this was not one of them! We had some minor issues with a shower, Wifi connection, etc., and Ferida came back a day or so later and got all these things straightened out for us. Ferida kindly let us into the apartment when we arrived early in the morning, and it was good to have access to the apartment right away. One inconvenience that could have been prevented by whoever cleans/stocks the apartment was that there was less than 1/8 of a roll of toilet tissue in each bathroom, and it being a Sunday, there were no stores open where we could buy any until the next morning. Needless to say, a full roll in each bathroom would have been appreciated by the five of us. Thank you, Amorino, for the napkins we took with our gelato cones later that day! All in all, it was a good stay, and I would recommend this well-located apartment, which is good value for the money considering its upscale neighborhood and proximity to sights, shopping, restaurants, etc.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. I'm glad that you enjoyed the apartement despite not enough toilet paper on your arrival, I'll make sure this doesn't happen again. Kind regards to all, Ferida

We just returned from Paris this week and loved staying at this apartment. We were traveling with another Mom and teenage daughter and this apartment was just perfect! We had friends staying a few blocks away and this apartment became party central as there was plenty of room for all 7 of us to enjoy a drink or coffee before departing for the day. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very spacious. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed. While we did nto make fullblown meals we did make breakfast. The washer and dryer were quite efficient by European standards. The location was great and Ferida was wonderful and even allowed us to drop our bags as our flight arrived before 8 am. The housekeeper had everything spick and span when we returned at noon. SHe had even moved our suitcases to the bedrooms. Ferida left us a bottle of wine as a welcome! This is the third apartment we have rented in the past two years and was by far the most spacious and well appointed! Thanks for everything Ferida!
Owner response:It's always a pleasure for me to hear that my guests have enjoyed their stay;-))) Thank you so much Nancy for taking the time to write a positive comment. Take care and may be see you again I hope. My best wishes to all, Ferida

We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in October 2010 and would definitely return the next time we are able to visit Paris. The location was fantastic and the apartment is roomy and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Ferida was very responsive and provided us with plenty of information about the area, including recommendations for grocery shopping and a nearby boulangerie. As noted by the owner, the communal parts were being redone, but this did not present a problem as the areas were kept clean and only the hallway was affected. We would highly recommend this property and only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you, Ferida, for a lovely stay.
Owner response:Truly thank you for taking the time to write such a complementary comment. So much appreciated as you speak of the positive things and explain that the doing of the communal parts is no bother to guests. So glad that you had such a good time and hopefully see you again;))) Best wishes to all, Ferida

We spent 6 nights in Ferida's lovely apartment, three of us, my husband, myself and our friend. Ferida met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know. The apartment is very nice, kitchen is fully equipped and the location is perfect. It's quiet, little to no street noise and secure. We walked everywhere, the area is very nice. Lots of upscale shops. The listing is just as Ferida explains and the pictures show the apartment as it is. It's clean, beds and couch are comfortable. Ferida was most helpful and responsive. I would definately recommend this apartment to first time visitors to Paris or those who want to enjoy this beautiful city again.

A friend and I spent a wonderful girls’ week staying in this beautiful, light filled apartment. It is spacious by Paris standards and with all the amenities one could wish for. Despite being in the middle of St-Germain-des-Près, one block from Boulevard St-Germain, there is blissful calm and quiet in the apartment. Ferida was extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. I would have loved a longer stay.
Owner response:Thank you Barbara for taking the time to write. Always a pleasure to know that my guests have had a good time in Paris and in the appartement. Take care! Kind regards Ferida

As I lead my family through the dark entryway, with paint scraped off the walls and mailboxes on the floor, and up the dark winding staircase with the overhead light flickering on and off, I wondered what I’d gotten my family into. I wished I had known that this work would be underway during the week of our stay, because I would not have rented it. I was also dismayed by the view of high, cracked walls with rusted metal grates covering windows that surrounded the apartment; the high walls allowed little light in. However, I am new to renting apartments; previous to this summer I’ve stayed in hotels. I went into this rental experience with a set of assumptions based on hotel stays and ultimately I was responsible for any disappointments because I wasn’t careful enough and didn’t ask enough questions. To help make up for the fact painting was taking place during our stay, the owner welcomed us with a bottle of wine and fresh fruit. And this turned out to be a very nice place to stay. We went on a tour of Champagne with a pick-up at the apartment and through the guide we learned that it is not easy to find a two bedroom apartment in Paris. He also said that it’s every Parisian’s dream to stay in St. Germain des Pres and to walk to Café Flore for breakfast – he has no connection whatsoever to the owner, so I realized I had not fully appreciated the apartment we were staying in. (We did wind up going to Café Flore for breakfast.) The apartment had all the amenities one would need, and the beds were quite comfortable. It’s so much better than staying in a hotel because you can wash and dry your clothes and make coffee, breakfast, etc. before heading out for a busy day of touring. Detailed instructions and information are provided in a binder for easy reference. The location is fantastic. When you go outside, you really are in the heart of it all, steps away from fashionable stores and lots of cafes. If you follow the road from the apartment all the way to the end toward the river (about a 15 minute walk), you end up at the Louvre. My husband went there almost every day. We walked everywhere, though public transportation is easily accessible if you don’t want to do a lot of walking.
Owner response:So sorry again about the communal parts being redone during your stay. Unfortunately, as owners, we are not informed of dates which makes it difficult for all of us. I'm glad that the works didn't spoil your visit and that you enjoyed Paris. Best wishes to all Ferida

Four of us enjoyed staying in the apartment for 7 nights. Ferida was warm, welcoming, and speaks perfect English. She was so quick to respond to any problem. (We needed a plumber for a small problem and she had someone on it in a few hours.) Apartment is very well located, near tourist attractions, cafes, grocery, etc. No view, but VERY quiet. Good beds. Kitchen worked very well.

Having just urged a friend who is about to visit Paris to stay at this apartment, I realized I'd still not written a review of this wonderful apartment for VRBO. I stayed here with 4 women friends nearly 6 months ago...and we truly loved it! It was a quiet, magical oasis in a perfect neighborhood! We loved coming home and relaxing and recharging between our outings, and its location made it easy to walk everywhere, including many Metro options. Ferida was professional, charming, and gracious. She greeted us when we arrived and gave us a wonderful introduction to the home. The decorating is lovely and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The layout also worked really well for a group of adults traveling together. I would stay there again in a heartbeat...and look forward to my next return. I tend to rely heavily on recommendations from others before choosing a vacation rental...and this place exceeded our recommendations!
Owner response:Thank you so much Risa for taking the time to write such a nice comment. After all this time, it is somehow even more precious to me;)) Best wishes to all of you and hopefully, see you again! Férida

This apartment is centrally located in the fashion district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It is around the block from Les Deux Magots, Café de Flore and brasserie Lipp. It is within easy walking distance to Jardin du Luxembourg, the Seine, the Louvre, and Musée d'Orsay. It is a nice walk home from the cafés in Montparnasse. Around the corner on Blvd St. Germain is a convenient taxi stand--and several metro lines are within 2 blocks. The apartment is attractive and well-maintained in a walk-up building on Rue des St. Peres. The apartment is away from street noise and has plenty of natural light. We particularly appreciated the free wi fi access and internet cables, and free phone calls to the U.S. It was also great that the apartment had a relatively large, fully equipped kitchen. We could shop at a nearby Monoprix or in the Buci street market for anything we needed. The boulangeries Poilane and Chez Paul were also convenient. The owner was personable and accessible and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this apartment to a family with children or couples travelling together.

We are a family of five who stayed at the aparment from May 21 - 30, 2009. The location is amazing and the apartment was perfect, having everything we needed for our stay, even electrical adapters for our North American appliances! It was wonderful to have a kitchen and there are a number of grocery stores, markets and bakeries close by to get supplies for meals in house. There are also an incredible number of excellent restaurants and cafes in the area as well. We found the area very safe and there is great access to the metro, buses and RER. There are also so many great sites and major museums just a short walk or metro ride away. We were very grateful to have the second (or third) bathroom since we had five people in the apartment for the week. It was very handy at certain times of day - lovely and private! Past guests have left some great information behind and the owner also has a binder full of information about the apartment and area which was very useful. There is a large stack of current (2009) guidebooks as well so if you need more references they are all there waiting for you. Everything was very clean and in good working condition - wonderful to have access to a washer and dryer as well. It was just fantastic the whole time and we definetly reccomend a stay here! It was so nice to come home after a long day of sightseeing and having some space to relax, spread out and share our experiences. Thanks very much to the owner who was fantastic to deal with and to all past guests for their contributions to the information under the coffee table! Have a great time on your trip to Paris!!

I stayed for a week in April 2009 (and WISH it could have been a month) with my son, his wife and two of their teen-aged off-spring. The apartment is beautiful and maintained meticulously. We were extremely comfortable in every way (and very grateful for the privacy of the little - well-lit - WC off the private entry - cannot understand piegirl's objection!). Ferida could not have been more welcoming or helpful (we had a medical emergency and she was right there with the perfect advice for us!) Above all the apartment is very quiet, away from street noise - a true oasis and full of the "flavor" of Paris! We were conveniently close to everything - a great neighborhood! A few short blocks from the Louvre, Luxembourg Jardin, Isle de la Cite, the Seine, markets and wonderful shopping. We all hated to leave our little apartment on the Left Bank! Thank you Ferida!

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment with our two boys in November. It was great to have all of the comforts of home and I recommend this apartment for families staying in Paris with young children. I really appreciated having internet access with the ethernet cable - a little harder to figure out the wireless. The location is just perfect -- easy access to a couple of different metro lines, the area is safe and busy, good restaurants in easy walking distance. It's especially nice to be so close to the Luxembourg Gardens where they have puppet shows and a great playground. The front lobby does need some work, but once you get past that, the owner has done a great job of upgrading the plumbing, appliances, etc. so the apartment is modern. The heat worked well. And the location was very very quiet at night as it is not facing the street. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed here (4 adults) in mid-September for 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the apartment was wonderful. We ate breakfast and dinner in the apartment every day and the kitchen was well equipped. The washer and separate dryer was also convenient for keeping up on clean clothes. It was very quiet and more spacious than a hotel! You can walk to almost everywhere from here - if not, there are several metro stations nearby.

We (four adults) stayed at this apartment for two weeks and had a wonderful time. Ferida was great and very helpful, both before and during our stay. The apartment offers plenty of room and is clean and well furnished. The aprtment's location couldn't be better - within walking distance of Notre Dame, the Seine, the Louvre, the Sorbonne, etc. It is also very quiet (absolutely no road noise) and, with excellent beds, offers a great night's sleep. The free phone calls to the States and the high speed internet connnection were big positives. The only improvement I could suggest is adding additinal lighting in the kitchen's stove/sink area and in the MBR shower/sink area. Other than that, it's perfect! We'll definately stay there the next time we're in Paris.

The area is superb, many great stores and restaurants, but mostly we bought food at the wonderful food shops and markets near by and cooked at home. While there are metro stops very close, it is so easy to walk to most things. We will defintiely stay here again on our next trip to Paris. Thank you Ferida!

There were four of us, myself, my son and his 6-year old daughter and my daughter. I didn't want to stay in a hotel with a child and so we started looking for Paris apartments and found 69 rue des saints-peres in one of the best areas of Paris. It was clean, quiet, private and modern with good beds, so important after a day of walking in Paris. The sleeping accommodations were perfect with a twin bedded room and the second bedroom contained a bed that seemed to be larger than my queen at home and there's also the pull-out sofabed in the living room. There are lovely restaurants nearby but I recommend, for prepared meals, Picard, on the rue du Dragon right nearby for food to bring to the apartment to heat up. The dollar is low, take advantage of Picard from time to time. Trust me this is no Swanson Hungry Man dinner!! Yes, on our next trip to Paris we'll rent again with VRBO. Ferida was wonderful to deal with in all respects. Simone.

Toilet outside...she hands you a flashlight for night visits! I lost all of my money and walked away with bags in hand after long flight to look for a hotel!
Owner response:Interesting that piegirl doesn't mention that it is an extra toilet that is outside on a privately owned passage. There is of course another toilet inside the appartment (as can be seen on the bathroom photo) so no one has to use the second toilet if they don't want to! When piegirl stayed, I was in the process of purchasing the external toilet which didn't have at that time electricity hence the flash lamp. There is now electricity in it. When you have 5 or 6 guests staying, they are very glad to have this extra toilet even if right outside the appartment on the private passage. Again, noone has to use the extra WC so I am not sure that I can understand what this lady means as I repeat there was always the toilet inside the apartement. There are plenty more positive ratings and not a single negative one on vrbo.com #90955 which can be read.

Our family of six stayed in this apartment for 4 days/nights in November, 2007 (2 adults/4 children). The location is excellent as it is within walking distance to all of the central arrondissements. The Saint-Germain metro stop is only a block away. The area is packed with restaurants and shopping. The apartment is very quiet, clean, comfortable and sufficiently appointed with all that you might need during a stay in Paris. Ferida is a joy - she was very responsive and accommodating and met us at the apartment as scheduled. There were no surprises with our stay – the pictures of the apartment are accurate and the costs were as stated. We hope to visit Paris again soon and will gladly stay here again. Thank you Ferida for helping make our Paris visit wonderful.

My wife and I and another couple stayed in the apartment for 1 week in November this year.It is in a perfect location, within walking distance of pretty much everything, spacious by Paris standards and remarkably quiet,a most unusual combination of attributes for the middle of Paris.Furthermore Ferida could not have been more helpful and needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a perfect haven for the 4 of of us! Having stayed in many other pats. this one has been renovated with a lot of care and attention to detail. The kitchen and bath were perfect, the beds very comfortable with plenty of storage. The additional shower and basin in the one bedroom was a bonus and the separate toilet, outside the main door, but still part of the apt. was also very much appreciated. Very quiet yet in the middle of St. Germain with easy access to subway, bus stop and every possible kind of shopping. We loved our stay in this apt. and would gladly stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, the apartment was nicely furnished and clean, the beds were very good, the bath and kitchen were modern and well equipped, and we also appreciated the laundry, internet access, TV, etc. (Note: The second toilet is separate from the main body of the apartment, and not so convenient, but it is still private. The second shower and sink in the bedroom were great.) The location was excellent -- for walks to central Paris locations or Metro access -- yet the apartment was pleasantly quiet, and off the main drag. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to Blvd. St-Germain and the Latin Quarter, with their lively atmosphere (and some reasonably priced dinners). A great apartment -- we would stay there again.

We had a girl's trip in May. The apartment was perfect. Everything we could have needed was there. The location is perfect for museums or restaurants. Shopping literally right outside the door. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the owner was gracious and helpful. Have recommended the apartments to friends - we will be back!

My husband, our three teenagers, and I just returned from Paris and a wonderful stay at the Saint-Peres apartment. It is very comfortable, very attractive, extremely clean, and had all the amenities you could want - comfortable beds, nice thick towels, a well-equipped kitchen, broadband access, and an efficient washer and dryer. It is within a few blocks walk of two metro stops with access to 3 lines; Le Bon Marche with its beautiful food epecerie is across the street from one station. We walked to the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay and found the rest of Paris very easy to get to from this central location. Ferida is very charming. She responded quickly to my e-mails while making plans and made us feel more like guests than customers. We would highly recommend Saints-Peres.

I can not speak highly enough of this accommodation. It is beautifully laid out and finely furnished with a living room, kitchen combination as well as dw & w/d & comfortable beds & set off street with little traffic noice in apt. The owner is wonderful as is the housekeeper. It is centrally located on the left bank within blocks of world fameous museums, churches and restaurants. Highly recommended!

There is no comment from guests yet as a Parisian agency has rented the appartement to a Brezilian writer until the end of January 2007. No one from vrbo has yet stayed. You can view my other appartement's guests book and see that we take it very seriously and at heart. Reference is:80453
