  Finding this gem in Maine was a wish come true! While the pictures are wonderful, they don't even do the house justice! It is simply amazing! I went with my two kids and my brother, his wife and kids last July. ( It was way hotter than expected!Way above average!) From the moment I booked the cabin, I knew it would be a great experience. Anthony was wonderful to work with and everything in the house was as promised. A surprise basket of goodies was appreciated. During the day, we visited the many places he recommended (in Maine and New Hampshire) and the kids spent a lot of time in town on the lake tubing. Much to do! (Who knew Wake Boarding could be such a challenge though? One child got hurt Wake Boarding and stiches were required. Even that was easily handled. Everyone in town was just as friendly as Anthony!) When the lights in the master bedroom stopped working, a quick phone call was all it took to be fixed within an hour. No hassles. There was so much to do without even leaving the house! The game room was perfect for early morning and evening fun! We had lots of Ping Pong tournaments throughout the week as well as Pac Man, Air Hockey and Centipede contests. I haven't played those games in years and instantly found myself hanging with the teens playing until my heart's content. (If you are thinking you don't care for games or want kids playing on vacation, that's what I thought BEFORE I got there. But it really was perfect and brought us all together since we grew up with these games! It was an added bonus to the house. VERY smart planning on his part! ) I wanted a calmer, throwback type of vacation this year after a trip to Turks and Caicos last year. I had such wonderful memories of my own childhood with my family in Maine and I wanted to give my kids those same type of memories. Mission accomplished! Since my husband wasn't able to come last minute due to a family emergency, I was hoping to go back but it's all booked! Lesson learned...book early! Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough! A wonderful family vacation in a beautiful state and cabin! Thanks, Anthony!

  Cabin exceeded all expectations. Was very homey,clean and comfortable. Nice quite spot. I would highly recommend this cabin. Our family had a great vacation. Games room kept the kids and parents entertained. Hot tub was nice to relax in under the stars at night.

  We were very happy with our stay at Big Bear Cabin this winter. The owner was very responsive the the millions of questions we had before and after making our reservation, which was great. The house has all the amenities you need for a good weekend with friends and family. We were greeted with a gift basket with a few keepsakes from Maine and wine which was very sweet and made us feel very welcome. My favorite part was the jacuzzi on the patio and the entertainment area downstairs. It seems very fitting for families with kids who might want a bit of a buffer between the generations also. It was a bit strange to have Christmas tree and decorations up in February, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The only downfall is that there are only two bathrooms one of which is from the master bedroom and open to the room. Even with 9 people (you cannot have more than 10) we had to wait for people to use the showers both after coming home from skiing as well as getting out of the Jacuzzi. Other then that it's a great place to spend some time away!

  We had a fantastic time at Big Bear Cabin! Anthony, the owner, made everything really easy for us and was very responsive to any needs and inquiries. The house itself is quite amazing. It sits on a nice property with a nearby stream and nature preserve. There is a fire pit, and hot tub outside. Indoors is spacious and gorgeous. The bedrooms are all really nice. The kitchen is well-stocked for those wanting to do their own cooking. The game room and projection TV were fun, too, though we mainly spent time hanging out in the beautiful common rooms on the main floor. There are two bathrooms, and one is attached to the master bedroom. This made it a little tight for our group of ten, but we made it work pretty easily. We would stay again!

  This home was stunning. We arrived to find it decorated tastefully for fall. The attention to all the details in the home were fantastic. There was nothing to want for. We enjoyed the outdoor space so much, using both the hot tub and the fire pit. It was spacious and complimented spending time together in a large group comfortably. This home had personality and you could see the owners personality as well. To arrive to a basket of goodies, (including wine which we love) and a personal note was an unexpected surprise.

  Our entire experience was fantastic! From the beginning, Anthony was amazing to work with! We live in Indiana and planned a destination wedding in Maine. Anthony's professionalism and awesome attitude made our wedding planning stress free! The cabin was spectacular! We were married on the sea coast and reserved the cabin as a reception area/honeymoon afterwords. The entire area is fantastic and quiet for just a peaceful and tranquil vacation. Harrison, ME was also amazing with great local people, activities, and surrounding shops/restaurants. Try Ruby Slippers Cafe and Bakery! Everyone just raved about how gorgeous the cabin was and how nice the wedding reception was just to sit back on the back deck or rock on the front porch. Thank you Anthony for an amazing time in your well crafted and fun home! We hope to be back next year to celebrate our one year anniversary!!!!!!!!!!

  This is an amazing place to stay. We hosted a group of women for a retreat here. Big Bear Cabin was perfect in EVERY way. The cabin is not only gorgeous, it was spotless. There was plenty of space to spread out as well as places to comfortably convene as a group...loved the alcove area! The details that went into the building and furnishing of this home are incredible, from the walk in shower with the rain shower head to the glowing stars in the game room. There was literally something for everyone in our party. Than you Anthony and the Rauseo family for this hidden gem in our own back yard!

  Our son is 2 and he loves the beach this year. Home is close to Sebago Lake Park where water is warmer than ocean. Home is CLEAN (you dont feel you need to wash a glass before using it) and spacious, larger than 3 people need. We enjoyed some of the extra features for fun in the evening without having to leave the home. Having a grill and full kitchen is a must for us. We rent quite a bit all over the U.S and like properties that offer all the basics. It is a pain to bring paper towels etc. It is always a treat to find a location that you would rent again and again. Many of our friends who saw pictures of our trip commented on how new the home appears.

• Amazing cabin!

  I really can't say enough good things about this cabin. My husband and I had our wedding here, and stayed for the following week for our honeymoon. Not only is the cabin breathtakingly gorgeous, it had EVERYTHING we needed (and more). From cookware, to towels, kayaks to pacman(!!!!) the owners of this cabin thought of everything. All the little extras really made the difference. The owner (Anthony) was fantastic and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even informing us of some neat things to do in the area while we were there! Even the neighbors were friendly and accommodating! They went out of their way to bring us to a store (after a long work day, even!) when our car broken down. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! I am so happy we chose to have our wedding/ honeymoon here. It was perfect.

  We had a super long weekend at this spot. The listing and photos were accurate and we found the property to be exceptionally clean! We had a small birthday party for our mom; everyone that came for the day commented on the "cabin"! For those of us there all weekend, there was something for everyone and no one missed having a tv! The location was peaceful and relaxing. The weather was beautiful and we even managed to get out in the boat on Long Lake, which we knew from experience would be absolutely beautiful! It is too much "house" for my family of three but with the extended family or a group of friends, we certainly would not hesitate to return!
