Having signed up for the Leadville 100 MTB race I needed a place to stay, and since I was travelling out with my fiancee I wanted somewhere that was also cosy, romantic with some beautiful views. This cabin really fitted the bill. The owners Karen and Perry were lovely, and coped admirably with our somewhat late arrival on the first night. My first impressions of the cabin were the cleanliness and quality of the accommodation. The kitchen/family area are well equipped with Sat TV / DVD and everything you could need from a cooking/eating point of view (coffee maker / microwave / oven / fridge / freezer etc). The master bedroom is lovely with an iron four poster bed and masses of storage space. The rear bedroom/area of the house is lovely. We didn't end up spending much time in there really as it was just the two of us, but during the winter I suspect this would be a perfectly cosy place to spend some time. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. There's also a washing machine and drier in here which turned out to be an almost necessity with my cycling kit. Also meant for the first time ever we went home with as much clean clothes as we brought out with us! The views from the cabin are simply stunning in 360 deg with Princeton dominating the scene. Local amenities are a couple of miles along the road back into Buena Vista itself with plenty of places to eat / drink, and a grocery store that has everything you could need. Salida is about 25-30 miles south, and Leadville is about 30 miles north, both of which taking a little over 30 minutes to reach. We can't recommend this cabin enough and will definitely stay here again in the future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This cabin was a perfect place for our family. We spent a full week here and truly the only thing we needed to supply was our food and clothing. This is a nicely appointed rental with all the comforts of home! I cannot say enough how amazingly clean the cabin was and our hosts were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We had an unfortunate accident while staying in Colorado which required mme to be hospitalized for several days and our hosts showed such care and compassion to our family, even bringing me flowers while in the hospital! This is the ONLY place we will stay when visiting in the future!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
