Our villa is located within one and a half hours or less of Disney World, Tampa Airport, Cedar Key, Gulf Beaches, Gainesville, Ocala, Dade City, and Mount Dora (home of Renninger's Flea Market.) The Webster Flea Market is also nearby.
Community pool, dock, and shuffleboard are available in the complex. The "Rails to Trails" biking and hiking trail, 42 miles long, is right down the street! Many public golf courses are nearby.

Why the Owner Chose Inverness
We live in Tampa, which is only about 90 minutes south of Inverness. The weather in Inverness is always cooler than Tampa so we enjoy our time up there. There is never a lack of "something to: in Citrus County. Boating, fishing, walking, biking - all around just the corner.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
The proximity to all kinds of recreational areas is what brought us to Inverness in the first place, almost 30 years ago. We have enjoyed the Gulf Coast area throughout the years. When we first came up to Citrus County, the county courthouse was a small building in downtown Crystal River. Elvis Presley once made a movie in the courthouse which is now used as a museum. You can find Elvis memorabilia at the Rexall Drug Store on US 44. Inverness is an "Elvis City" We also enjoy the Indian ruins in the area. It's an amazing thought that people traversed that land years before Columbus. The Indian burial mounds at Crystal River are amazing to see.
Acres of trails, picnic tables, paddle boats. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent in the summer.
Old Town Inverness includes old courthouse where Elvis Presley film was made. Now a museum, courthouse is worth a visit for a trip into the past of the area around Citrus County.
Small strip mall includes K mart and Publix Supermarket along with local stores and Bealls Outlet, one of two outlet stores in Inverness. Also good Italian restaurant in mall.

This is the most beautiful and fun place!It looks like a hotel. Everytime I come here I like it better. It's so much fun to go fishing off the dock and riding around in Grandma and Grandpa's boat! I'm so happy you bought this place! Thanks, and lots of love, from Samantha (7)
