Casa Fortuna is a newly remodeled, hacienda style villa on 1/2 acre of beach front solitude. Located 55 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta airport, transportation to La Penita de Jaltemba is easy by car, taxi or bus. Once you arrive, enjoy watching the gentle ocean, spectacular sunsets, and migrating whales from the wide verandas, float or play volleyball in your own private pool or lounge on the beach and swim in the warm, calm waters of Jaltemba Bay. This is total relaxation!
With the addition of a second floor in 2006, Casa Fortuna boasts 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, making it a perfect retreat for friends and families. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with comfortable sofa and chairs for lounging and table for dining, and one Suite with King bed and adjoining bath. A breezy veranda, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, runs the entire length of the house on both levels, offering spectacular views of the beach, swaying palms, and the ocean.
The newly built second floor is tiled throughout, with three bedrooms, two Master Suites with king-sized beds, and the third with twin beds, that can be joined to make a king. You will not believe the ocean views that greet you each morning, when you sit up in bed! Linens and pillows are provided. Additional sleeping is available with use of inflatable beds. Two upstairs baths are beautifully finished with hand made Mexican tile, and modern fixtures. Casa Fortuna is an easy walk from the center of La Penita de Jaltemba, a colorful Mexican town where you will find restaurants, taco stands, grocery stores, meat and fish markets, shopping, disco, Internet shops, kayak and bicycle rentals. The tiangus or community market, is held every Thursday morning in the town square where you can buy handicrafts from Mexico, jewelry, clothing, household goods, produce, seafood, and fresh bread and pastries. Walk or taxi a few miles down the beach to Rincon de Guayabitos, a busy resort town with party boats, whale watching tours, fishing, banana boats, jet skis, para sailing, horseback riding, beach front dining, and karaoke!
After a great evening out, or a wonderful meal prepared at the house by Sandra and Rick, wind down on the veranda, with tea lights flickering around you, the moon shining through the palm trees above, and the music of the waves inviting you to sleep. This is paradise!
Sandra and Rick are our English fluent caretakers . (Their son and wife live on site in a small casita near the rear of the property.) They are wonderful cooks and can prepare meals at the house for a very reasonable fee. Sandra can also arrange for poolside facials, manicures, pedicures, a relaxing massage or babysit for a relaxing night out without the kids. Rick can arrange a fishing trip on a local panga boat or a driver for an out of town adventure to see the crocodiles in San Blas, the petroglyph's in Alta Vista or maybe down the road to Sayulita, San Pancho or Guadalajara. |
