My family and friends stayed at Coral Shores for spring break this March. We had 5 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 8-86. We all had a great time! The house is very spacious, we never felt like we were "on top" of each other. The kids had a great time in the pool and the family loved watching the ncca tournament poolside! We love the area, this is the fourth visit and probably our favorite house. The location is excellent, the grocery is 3 minutes away, nice beaches a 15 minute drive, and a great restaurant, The Fishery, about 10 minutes away. We hope we are lucky enough to rent Coral Shores again in the future!Owner response: You will be very welcome to return. This was our second visit to Coral Shores and again we loved every minute of it. The villa is spacious, beautiful, well maintained and with every comfort you need for a great holiday. We really enjoyed visiting nearby Boca Grande with it's lovely restaurants and beaches and Sarasota and Naples are within 1-2 hours travelling distance. We also enjoyed the small theatre The Lemon Bay Playhouse in Englewood. There is plenty to do and see in the area but relaxing by the pool remains one of our favourites. We had previously visited with family and grandchildren and we enjoyed this holiday just as much, we look forward to returning to this little patch of paradise.Did you find this review helpful? Firstly, many thanks to you Chris and your family for allowing us to rent your amazing villa in Cape Haze last month (July 2011). My family and I had a truly wonderful and unforgettable holiday of a lifetime. The villa was everything that the pictures and description on the web site described...and more !! Cape Haze is a lovely Thompsonlocation, peaceful and tranquil with some fantastic restaurants and if you like the water...wow! great beaches, boat rental...everything...we even got to swim with a Manatee! One day I am sure we will return...a sincere thank you from us all in Norway.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coral Shores. The house is really beautiful and was perfect for all our needs (pretty good given our ages ranged from 2 to 60!). The house is really well equipped and the pool was just gorgeous. It was great to use the barbeque and look out onto the golf course and enjoy the local wildlife. We even saw a bald eagle. We loved the area, especially the beach at Stump Pass which was brilliant and have started saving for a place on Boca Grande! A couple of our party had a great round of golf and enjoyed the extra excitement of playing over the heads of the resident alligators!!! Thanks again both for letting us stay in your house and for answering all our questions in such a professional and speedy manner.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at coral shores in july this year, from the moment we walked into the house we were amazed by how spacious and beautifully decorated it was, christine and jim have taken a lot of time and effort into making this property what it was. The pool area was fantastic , we could sit and watch the world go by taking in the lovely views of the golf course, whilst the kids were having a ball playing with all the pool toys. The house is very well located not to far from nearby resturants , beaches ect, and the publix supermarket is literally round the corner. we would like to thank christine and jim for letting us stay in there beautiful home. We will be coming back , and recommend to anyone thinking of going.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The villa was everything the description promised, being spacious,clean and well maintained. The area in which the villa is situated is very quiet with a nice view across the golf course. Trips to the local beaches took only 10 mins by car and were almost empty. Difficult to comprehend when the sea temp was 84degrees and great for swimming.Overall a great place to stay and would use again if visiting this part of Florida.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

we have rented many homes in the cape haze area. by far this homes was exceptional! beautiful! just as the pictures show. the views of the links golf course were amazing. 1st tee and fairway and 1st hole. 8th hole. 9th fairway and 9th hole. the wild life were fun to watch. including a wild bore on the 1st hole!!! crazy mocking birds!!!! beautiful blue herrons. hopefuly will be going back next spring.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place is somewhere i will never forget think of a hotel think of 5 star this is the place, never before have i stayed in a place so luxurious so accommodating so tastefully done as this. I will definitely be staying there again on my next visit that’s for sure. What a fantastic house all the bedrooms you could ask for, lots of bathrooms no arguing, fantastic living room, Plasmas, leather sofas beautifully decorated no expense spared and attention to detail personified .This place was brilliant and as if that isn’t enough it has a lovely pool area where the sun shine all day long which overlooks the golf course . The house is located in a very peaceful and is in a very quiet area. Beaches and restaurants plus publix close by Wall mart super centre is 10 min in the car and a large shopping centre 20 min in the car. The only thing that i found bad about this place is the fact i didn’t spend longer hereRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We just returned from a 10 night stay at Coral Shores. What a wonderful time we all had. The house is lovely, the pool was sparkling clean and the nearby golf course was a nice touch for our golfers. We enjoyed the large kitchen and living spaces, the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms convenient. We would love to return again some day. Our group ranged in age from age 5 to age 72. We found the location convenient to many of the Gulf Coast beaches and activities.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for 10 days for my birthday with the family. Villa was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and very spacious, with great views over the golf course, including the resident alligator in the lake! Grocery store located just down the road. Beach is just 10 minute drive, and Boca Grande is about 15-20 minute drive, where you can watch dolphins swim by. Kids loved the pool, and pool toys available in the garage. We all had a very enjoyable time, and would recommend the villa to anyone. Hope to return sometime soon.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed in this property last year and have booked again for this coming October. 5 star luxury all the way. Every room is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We loved it. Property was clean and well maintained. Within two minutes in the car there is a large supermaket, bank and liquor store. There is also a garage where videos can be rented for $1 a night. The property is situated on the first green of a golf course which gave us early morning entertainment watching the golfers putt into the first hole. We were only two people but will be eight when we return. Plenty of space. Many good restuarants close by and good shopping ten minutes away. Close to ferry across to beaches or short drive to Englewood Beach or Boca Grande beaches. We were happy to sit by pool. Port Charlotte is 20 minutes away with shopping mall, many other resturants, cinemas etc. If you want to visit Disney World 2/2.5 hours by car. Bush Gardens Tampa approx. 1.5 hours. We would have no hesitation to recommend this property to friends.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this villa for one week after having spent a hectic week in Disney World. We were wanting a relaxing time and the rural setting of the villa was ideal, enabling us to do this perfectly. The villa was stunning, with it's tasteful decor and luxurious furnishings. It was also spacious and easily accomodated 2 families. A superb pool overlooking a quiet golf course added to the great experience. Locally, a car is essential for all journeys as activities were a fair distance to travel. However, this was not a problem for us. We would recommend the idyllic Boca Grande beach (5 miles away). Also, Captain Bill who took us on a private boat trip from Palm Island marina and we saw dolphins and manatees which was a terrific experience. Siesta Key beach in Sarasota is also well worth a visit (sand like flour).Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We have holidayed in Florida over several years and always been impressed with our villa accommodation. However Coral Shores outshone all of them by a mile. First impression was wow! The decor is extremely tasteful and the huge open plan living area is just amazing. The open view over the golf course is beautiful and the lovely pool area is well equipped for relaxing and dining. We favoured Leverock's Restaurant in the evenings which was a mere 5 minutes drive away. Lovely Gulf beaches all within a short drive. Perfect for a relaxing holiday!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

Over the years we have stayed at many villa's all around florida and it has to be said, This villa has topped our rankings with the size, the location and the overall vacation experience. The location was quiet and peaceful and we would without a doubt recomend it to any body. Boca grande is well worth a visit and Jams restaurant is a must for a meal and drink. We will hopefully in the near future be visiting this villa again. Only one tiny comment, I would recommend, a few more large towels in all bathrooms.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Although a bath towel and a pool towel are provided for each we take constructive critisism seriously and a help to us to create the perfect environment for our guests. The towel issue will be addressed and more supplied.

We Recently spent a very enjoyable stay at Coral Shores, the house is of a very high standard all the comforts of home and lots of space. The pool area was especially nice and also had the added bonus of the view over the the Golf course. Stayed here with my family in April, had an amazing time. The villa is great, situated in a golf course with its own pool The coast is only a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk away and the beaches are amazing. While swimming in the Gulf on Gasprilla island, a pod of Dolphins joined us!! Area has everything you want from fishing, boating, golf, and some great restaurants and bars Would highly recommend staying hereRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.
