  We loved our stay here and could not have asked for a better home base for our stay in Montreal. First off, the apartment is amazing. It is very clean and wonderfully furnished/decorated. It is very modern and has the best bathtub ever! The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool you might need. The location was great! It is a very short walk to/from the metro Beau Bien and Little Italy is very close by for some great food! The IGA was a less than 5 minute walk and came in very handy. The owners were very nice and helpful the entire duration of our stay. They even provided a map highlighting some of their favorite spots in the area. All in all we could have not asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a wonderful vacation rental in Montreal!

  The place was gorgeous. We walked in and were shocked to see how nicely decorated and clean this place was. We were very excited to say the least! The apartment has all the cooking needs you might want when on vacation and they're good quality too! There is even a cappuccino machine which is a nice plus. There's a washer/dryer in the apartment so you don't have to go home with dirty clothes! That was a big plus for us too. The apartment is up a set of stairs, which wasn't a big deal to us, but something to be aware of if you have trouble with stairs. The metro station is on the same block as the apartment! We loved taking the metro - it was clean, easy and really fun to feel like a local. We also rented bikes. The city has the system where you rent a bike and ride it around town then you can leave it in another location - we loved this! There is also a bike rack very close by to the metro that's near the apartment - another plus! We loved walking over to the Jean-Talon market which was a 5 minutes walk. We found some organic goodies there to make breakfast in the morning and to enjoy wine/cheese at night. The place was all around magical. We will definitely return. One minor thing to mention was that the walls were pretty thin and we did hear the owners downstairs at times - this wasn't a huge deal but something to be aware of. At night we didn't have any problems with noise though, the street was very quiet and we slept very well. Parking is a bit funny. You can park on the street but there is resident parking, so make sure not to park where the sign is pointing for residents. Helene was very nice and explained the parking situation to us twice so that we fully understood! We ended up not moving our car at all and took public transport the whole time. All around this was a fantastic trip and we will definitely return! Thanks Helene and Michel!

  Le Chateaubriand was an excellent location for exploring Montreal. Its conveniently located near the Beaubien Metro station and a short ride to downtown or Old Montreal. We had a car but ended up using the Metro a few times as it was so convenient. We loved the neighbourhood as we've stayed downtown before and enjoyed less touristy atmosphere, great Latin restaurants and the fantastic Jean-Talon Marche. Grocery store and SAQ (wine/beer shop) a one minute walk. The apartment was exactly as described, well furnished and in near new condition. Helene (owner) was also extremely helpful. The wine cooler and expresso machine were very nice touches so that we could enjoy our coffee and Happy Hour on the terasse. Would happy recommend this VRBO and would definitely stay here again.

  Our family of four (two adults, two twelve-year-olds) had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It was clean, well kept, stylish, and well stocked with useful items. The Beaubien metro stop was very close - a 5 minute walk at most - as was a small corner grocery, and a larger IPA grocery store. Our children were comfortable on the pull out sofa bed, and the washer and dryer were conveniently located in the bathroom. The small back balcony (equipped with a grill) provided a nice retreat when one wanted a quiet place to read or some fresh air. All of the appliances appeared to be new; the espresso machine was a nice touch! Finally, the owner was very helpful with information about parking restrictions and other practical matters. We would recommend this apartment to others and return there ourselves.

  This is the place to stay. Beautifully decorated, everything you could possibly need! The metro was so close and so easy to use. If you stay here I recommend you just walk around the area and find the hidden gems. Some restaurants in the area are a bring your own beverage. we even came across a restaurant where tourist don't go, so that was a nice surprise and made us feel like we fit in. It was nice to be able to come back to the apartment after a long day out, nice and relaxing. This is the place to stay, close enough to get everywhere, yet far enough away from all the noise. Parking was a little different then I am used to, but the owners helped me out making sure I was parking properly each night. Great price for everything you get!!! i wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thanks again for the accomendations

  Unit is lovely, located in quiet neighborhood, yet convenient to local shops and restaurants. We arrived and parked the car, did not need to use the car the whole weekend. The train station is only a short walk. It was very easy to use the train to sightsee in Montreal Old Town, art museum. We also used the train to get to Bisto Florin for dinner in outdoor garden dining space. Most favorite place we experienced is the Jean Talon French farmers market. It is within walking distance of the apartment. Owners are very nice, they have done a great job decorating and furnishing the unit. We used the grill, enjoyed eating breakfast on deck. This is perfect place to stay in Montreal.

  We were met at the door by Michel who as owner had completely renovated the apartment. It is extremely clean, spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, including an espresso machine and wine fridge.We enjoyed the peaceful outdoor terrace.The apartment is a few minutes from the Metro station.Travel by metro is easy and very affordable ( 1 day or 3 day passes are very economical).We could reach all the major attractions and areas in 10- 15 minutes. A short walk takes you to the wonderful Jean Talon Market with its produce, meat and cheese vendors.La Stellina is a great place to stop for a coffee or breakfast and watch the goings on. We would recommend El Chalateco 520 Beaubien for excellent Salvadorian food. Le Chateaubriand is a great place to stay in Montreal. Thank you Michel and Helene. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to be back one day.

  It is not often that you stay somewhere that is exactly as it was listed -- the apartment itself is just beautiful with many personal touches that really make it seem as if you are in your own home. We especially loved the espresso maker and the kitchen was so well set up it was a joy to make our meals there! The owners were always available to answer our questions and point us in the right direction for daily trips. We loved the fact that we didn't drive all week - the metro stop is only a few minutes away and you really can get wherever you need to in Montreal so much easier by using it - and it's inexpensive too! The neighbourhood is a great one for walking around - so much to see and do - but definately walk to the Jean Talon market, buy the wonderful food there, then come back to the apartment, cook up a storm and sit on the balcony enjoying the peace and quiet. As I said - a perfect getaway!

  We spent a week at Michel and Helen's apartment. It's a beautiful place where to stay, very clean, quiet and well located, close from Beaubien metro, supermarket, Jean Talon beautiful organic market, St Hubert and St Denis streets. Just few subway stops from St Catherine and the Old Montreal. The owners are so nice and helpful. So is Patch the dog ... :) It's for sure one of the nicest place to stay in Montreal and we will definitely come back there soon. All the best. Smadja's Family
