We are nearing the end of another wonderful week here at Royal Palms. It is hard to describe the truly incredible views from your back gallery. It extends from Christiansted Harbor to Judith's Fancy onto The Salt River to the deeper blue sea. We have been here enough times to learn the many moods of the sea and experience the ever changing seascapes. The colors range from angry grays during storms to the bold greens and blues.Your location is prime for viewing ocean traffic, golfing, beach activities, tennis and convenience of shopping and dining at many of the excellent restaurants the island offers. The locals are friendly and very helpful and make us feel right at home.We have enjoyed your home immensely. Your beautiful screened in porch is the perfect setting for a romantic candle lit dinner or a formal catered dinner. We've done both! The pool deck at Royal Palms is great for swimming, informal dining and just plain relaxing. At night we enjoy the beautiful island sunsets and are sometimes treated to the lights of St. Thomas, St John, the British VI and the occasional ocean liner. It is evident that you have put a lot of time and effort into your lovely ocean paradise. Your home is elegant yet very comfortable and inviting. You have provided amenities that make you feel that we are staying at any five star resort while offering a fully equipped kitchen if we decide to "eat in". Wow!, Wow! & Wow! Spectacular!! Enjoyed every moment soaking up the sun, the sunsets, and the rain. Spent dahouse taking in the view and watching the bouganvilla petals fall and skirt across the patio. Even enjoyed a quiet evening dining on the veranda listening to the waves. Rarely does a second visit to the same place live up to the memories and expectations formed during the initial visit...except at Royal Palms. From the moment you step into the bougainvillea covered archway and take in the view of the golf course, the Caribbean and town of Christianstead, you know you are back in paradise. Impeccably maintained and well appointed - whether playing cards, dining al fresco, entertaining guests or enjoying that last single barrel rum night cap - each of the many living and seating areas offer the perfect spot for fulfilling your chosen activity. Next February can't come soon enough...

This January was the second year in a row that we stayed at Bonnie's Villa. Each of the two bedrooms is completely private from each other and private from the rooms in the main house. This home is ideal for one or two couples. We loved the views watching boats enter and exit Christiansted Harbor and the views overlooking the golf course and the Caribbean Ocean. All rooms in the home plus the pool area are completely private from surrounding homes. We hope to come back again next winter and stay again at this Villa. We loved the security of the Shoys neighborhood while still being very close to town and the beaches. Thanks again for letting us use your home.

My wife and I enjoyed our second year in a row at your beautiful villa. We have been visiting St. Croix for over 20 years and enjoy this home more than any other hotel or rental home in St. Croix. This home has the best layout for one or two couples. Both bedrooms are completely private from each other and from the main house. In addition, the entire home and pool area are situated for complete privacy from all the neighboring homes. The views are fantastic day or night. We enjoyed watching ships enter and exit Christiansted Harbor plus the views overlooking the golf course and the Caribbean Ocean. We hope to return again next year. David has been coming to St Croix for many years but this is our 4th year coming together. We have always stayed at the Buccaneer Hotel and this is our first time at Royal Palms. How wonderful it has been! We have loved preparing our own breakfast and eating some dinners at home. We loved our schedule of yoga, coffee, breakfast, walk, pool, town, etc. Highlights have included the East end of the island and Point Udall, hiking and beach (bathing suits optional), a jeep treck over the mountain

We had a perfect week. We had everything we needed and plenty of helpful tips from Dan. We normally go out to eat most every night on vacation, but we had the great pleasure of vacationing with a real gourmet couple that didn't want to leave the excellent views. So we ate in and had a great time. The home was every bit as described. We very much enjoyed downtown Christiansted, Captain Carl and our trip to Buck Island, and Tutto Bene. We even got take out Saganaki and greek salad from the Pickled Greek to go along with one of our meals. While is was a bit expensive, it was fantastic. Be sure to snorkel Cane Bay!

I personally like Christiansted the best. We have stayed on the other USVI’s and on Tortola. They have there pluses, however I liked this island the most! Hopefully we might come back sometime soon. Wow, what a great first impression as you walk in the front gate…. the most incredible view. Then as you walk into the villa you will feel as if you have stepped into the pages of “Coastal Living” or “Architectural Digest” magazines. We have stayed in dozens of condos, homes and villas all over the country and Royal Palms is at the very top of our list in all categories. The design of the villa is wonderful. My husband and myself went with my sister and her husband. We each had our own private bedroom suites off of the main living area, making it feel like we were at a first class resort. Our biggest problem was deciding were to hang out: the pool, wonderful covered verandas, beautiful appointed living room, well equipped kitchen, garden setting lanai or at our little private seating next to our bedroom suites. There are ocean views from everywhere!!! The location of Royal Palms was perfect home base to all St. Croix activities. The entire time we were at the villa, all we talked about was planning our next trip to Royal Palms. Bonnie, we cannot thank you enough for sharing your home away from home with us.

I've been waiting to write to you about our fabulous stay at Royal Palm Villa. Thank you so much for accommodating us on our trip. What a magnificent vacation we had in St. Croix. Dan met us at the airport and he was great with suggestions and ideas. He stopped in to check on things a few times and made sure we had what we needed. Our kids were so appreciative of your home, it's location and of course the ability to swim whenever. We took a day to go fishing (that is what Peter likes) and he caught a 30 lb. Wahoo. We also sent the kids on a jet skiing and snorkling adventure. We saw all of the sights, ate well, cooked in, dined out, beached it and did some driving. I woke early almost every day, opened up all the doors and had coffee with the sunrise. What a special view and location you have. I have attached a picture of us having dinner at Savant. That was the first Saturday we were there. Peter and I then went back on our last night for a final awesome dinner. We even bought one of their coffee devices (also picture attached). Loved it!! Anyway, I could go on and on. We wrote you a message in your guest book. What everyone else said who came before us, we felt too.

Spent a perfect two weeks at Royal Palms and enjoyed every minute. The local people and all fellow holidaymakers we met were friendly and helpful and we wished we could have stayed longer. The villa information is no doubt accurate, but you cannot really portray in words just how restful it is - the absolute perfect place to chill out. Suffice to say it exceeded expectations. We would definitely recommend hiring a car. There is so much to see and as Brits, we commend the islanders for sensibly deciding to drive on the "correct" side of the road!!!!!! Should you decide to eat-in, the Villa is perfectly equipped. We chose however to eat out. The Buccaneer restaurant is first class and we loved Savant, just on the right before Christiansted. We also had good food at Tutto Bene, Pickled Greek and very large breakfasts at Rumrunners prior to our trips with Captain Bigbeard to Buck Island. An absolute must if you're into snorkeling (2nd trip half price). Also, do not miss out on the night kayak trip and a couple of hours on jetskis with Damien (opposite Bigbeard's shop) We would recommend St Croix to everyone, young and old and without doubt, the icing on the cake to us was the knowledge that we would be driving back to Royal Palms, especially when our favourite guard at the entrance to Shoys Estate always raised the barrier with the words - "welcome home" - if only!!!!

This place is a Luxurious Tropical Paradise! My hysband and I went there for our Honeymoon and it was a dream come true! The views were unbelieveble! The privacy was such a treat! The people on the island were so pleasant and helpful. I love to cook and with the great open space kitchen it was truely special to cook for myself and my husband in paradise! The pool was a favorite spot for us! If you want a truely luxurious magical get away I would recommend going here! We are hoping to go back for our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Royal Palms was the PERFECT location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! The pictures on the website don't begin to reflect how beautiful this home is with the most spectacular views that you can imagine. While we never felt unsafe on the island, the gated community was a nice "extra" and the guards at the entrance were always so friendly and helpful with directions as needed. We rented a car and enjoyed going to the many fun places on the island. We visited many of the restaurants that you recommended and they were all outstanding. My husband played golf at the Buccaneer Bay Resort and thorougly enjoyed himself (I just rode in the cart and enjoyed the amazing scenery!)Our favorite place on the island was Royal Palms where we could enjoy the privacy of the beautiful pool or enjoy the gorgeous decor of the home while watching a movie or a football game. The gardens on the grounds of the villa were spectacular and add to the beauty of the property. Thank you again for such a lovely time. I wouldn't change a thing about your paradise home!!

My Sister In-Law/Best Friend Lee wrote nice comments in the book in the house from all of us, however, I just wanted to also state just how much we loved the house. Everyone was in agreement, Royal Palms was the best vacation rental in our combined travel history. The pictures were stunning but when you actual see the house you are blown away. We all felt so at home as soon as we arrived. The owner has a special gift for designing and decorating the perfect living environment. St Croix is beautiful and Royal Palms is spectacular. Bonnie, I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. Elizabeth and I had the best vacation of our lives at Royal Palms! This was our delayed honeymoon, and I can't think of any way that it could have been better. Obviously, we were struck by the incredible views from the Galley and all the rooms in the house. We also loved the privacy and how well-appointed the home is. We are taking some of your decorating ideas home to our island home at Bald Head Island, NC. (Loved the large grass fans.) The granite counter tops throughout the home are a very nice touch. We can't say enough about this place. You truly have a little piece of paridise at Royal Palms. The island was also wonderfully slow-paced during this time of year. We took time to take a horseback ride through the rain forrest, toured Buck Island, had a massuese come to the home for relaxing massages on the galley, cruised the island, went snorkeling at the Buccaneer, shopped in Christianstead, visited Cruzean Rum factory, etc. I also went diving at the wall at Cane Bay (gorgeous water and aquatic life). Charlie was terrific and made sure we were completely comfortable. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in this incredible home.

Your thoughtful planning of the actual living experience of your home is incredible and much appreciated. From thousands of miles away you have anticipated absolutely everything. We thank you for being such a caring host. Of course the view, the decor, the gormet kitchen, the pool---very, very nice. But the cigar cutter in the drawer next to the pantry---Amazing!!
