The Exterior of the Cottage - Brittany Holiday Cottage A Seaside Vacation in Your Own Private, Fully-Equipped Home. Our cottage is in the town of Audierne in Brittany on the North West coast of France. It is in a great location for a seaside holiday, with the sea only a 20-minute stroll away (or five minutes by car). Though off the beaten tourist track (no crowds, no big hotels), the area is much sought-after for its beaches and water sports. The nearby coast has exquisite white sand beaches, quiet coves, fishing ports and a cliff path giving superb views over the Bay of Audierne. Within walking distance in Audierne are the village shops, bars and restaurants, and a lively Saturday market selling local produce, seafood, cheese, local hard cider and charcuterie. There is a bakery just around the corner for your morning croissant. Nearer home, there is a river and footpaths through the woods. There are also many miles of pathways along the coast for walking or cycling.
