If you like fishing, diving or just relaxing this is the place! Deep water clean canal with 60' of dock space short ride out to the ocean or back counrty. Plenty of space for boat docking stairs and steps lead down to canal very clean good for swimming or snorkling. No boat fish right off the sea wall lots of snappers. Short boat ride to Looe key for diving and snorkling. Boat and jet ski rentals nearby. Lots of charter boats nearby for deep sea fishing. 20 minute drive to key West and Duval Street. 8 miles to bahai Honda Beach. Nice ocean breeze under the house which is entirely open for relaxing in the shade and for parking.

Thanks Ed for giving my family and friends to enjoy our trip to the Keys. The pictures don't give enough justice for the experiences we had. Being that we had 2 19 ft. boats and were able to keep them at the house and in the water ready to go was the best. A short 5 minute ride and we were in open water to go snorkeling, fishing or just to cruise around. A short 30 minute drive and we were in Key West to see the sites and enjoy a piece of Florida history. Thank you, Ed, for your wonderful house in Summerland Key. We wished we could have stayed longer...the week went by so fast. Your house is beautiful, nicely furnished, and has very comfortable beds! The house is wonderfully appointed with everything we could need. The best thing was having the storage area under the house for the poles and other gear that we didn't want to leave in the boat. We caught dolphin, cobia, and the occasional barracuda. We also had fun fishing for snapper off the dock. This location is very close to restaurants and any of the other Keys. We had the most wonderful time………………the place was gorgeous and the location fantastic, with so much to do around as you said. The boys were so excited about being there, we could not sleep the night before so we left at 8:00PM and arrived at the house at 4:30AM. We went to Key West Friday, and had a great time. The boys went diving one to two times every day. They got to Spear fish on the local reefs. The local Dive rental told us of some great lobstering spots. Out of the almost 70 that they saw and measured, we got at least 7 to eat. They caught 7 Amber Jacks trolling on the way in. We figured 7 days, 7 fish, 7 lobsters, must be our lucky number. Brought our crab trap but did not find a good place to leave it. Probably the wrong time of year and wrong bottom. Next year we are looking at October for Stoone Crab season. they found lots but it was out of season. Did a lot of snorkeling and swimming in the canal and used the BBQ 4 times. The night view was wonderful. At least 15 shooting stars were seen, but of course I missed them all. The iguana parade was awesome, thanks for ordering that for us. All the locals were very nice and helpful. We did a lot of shopping at Publix in Key West but the local store was amazing. Best steaks........ Look forward to doing it again. Thank you soooooo much for offering us this opportunity.Owner response: We were delighted to have them for guests especially since they were treating their Air Force son to a Keys vacation while on leave!!!
