We just returned home to Oregon from our wonderful vacation in Clearlake Oaks,CA.Our stay at the Marina Village Home was wonderful, the home was very comfortable and well equiped. We had 2 boats and 10 people for a fun filled Birthday Party BBQ and all around great time. Victor the owner made every effort to make our stay a "HAPPY" one. Good job Victor. Thank You.. I'm actually very shocked to see that this place has any positive reviews and suspect that they aren't legitimate. My family and I planned on staying at this location a few weekends ago and were shocked and appalled at the conditions we discovered. First, upon arrival (1 hour later than our check in time) we were concerned that the house was occupied due to the fact that everything seemed to be open (garage, doors, etc.). Upon entering, the TV was on, there was a drink on the counter and the place smelled like smoke. During our tour we discovered that the back patio was in disrepair and was messy/dirty with multiple cigarette butts strewn about the deck and a filled ash tray on the table. On our way out, the bathroom door suddenly opened and a woman, in her towel, told us that she would, "be out in a moment." At this point we thought it prudent to contact Victor. When we told him of the condition of the rental and the presence of the woman he argued with us and told us that we needed to go in and talk to the woman. Apparently she was staff in charge of cleaning the property prior to our arrival and decided it was appropriate to take a shower before vacating the premises (an hour after our agreed upon check in time). We stood in the grassy area and spoke to the unhelpful owner while smelling the obvious sewer stench wafting from the area. Upon asking for our money back we were offered a $100 discount on the boat for the weekend and were told that if we did not stay that we should not expect to see a single cent of our rent or our deposit. Victor did end up refunding our deposit and cleaning fee (14 days later) but we lost the rental fees and were forced to spend $300 (3 rooms) for one night at a nearby motel only to head back to our homes the next morning and miss our family vacation. I strongly advise anyone that is considering this place for a rental to look elsewhere! Or be forewarned that this place is not as pictured or described.

I have never asked our customers to write a review in the past years, and I fully understand that it will be very difficult to suspect the legitimacy of all the reviews without actually joining their trips or providing evidence. I am a little surprised that Sasha submitted this review right after she received my refund check, because Sasha mentioned in her email that “I will look forward to receiving the refund check ASAP so we can put this matter to rest”. I had told Sasha by phone in advance that my cleaning lady might finish house cleaning 1-2 hour later than regular check in time (3pm) since we will have another customer group checking out on the same day. The facts were my cleaning lady was cleaning the shower when Sasha showed up, and she finished the house cleaning before 4:15pm. Thanks again for this opportunity and welcome to experience our customer service and our beautiful waterfront vacation home with fisher pontoon boat. Seeing is Believing!

I met a couple of college friends at Clear Lake for our annual fishing trip.... I was in charge of making reservations. Victor (the owner) was very responsive and kept in constant contact with me, whether concerning questions or logistics. The only thing that I would mention pertains to the town moreso than the house... the town is far from mediocre. Lucky for us we had planned to stay in the house the whole time but if you are thinking of a trip where you even need to go out on the town for pizza -- steer clear of Clear Oaks. The house is as it appears... very clean and really assessible. The boat was more than sufficient -- though the waves on the lake are quite hefty. We had to put all people in the back or the rollers would have given us serious problems. We went through a mere 40.00 in gas and we were out all day for 3.5 days!!!! I would recommend this place to others... but only if you are not looking for places to go out at night!!!!

Great place! Great pleasure! We really enjoyed our two night stay in this Waterfront House at Clearlake Oaks! My friends and I had wonderful times there. When we first entered the house, we felt like we arrived home from somewhere else. The house was clean and well organized. The owner was easy to contact with and the people who work for the house were very nice and helpful. The rode on the party boat around the lake for all six of us together was a great pleasure experience, and the lake views were fabulous. There was a lot of fun fishing in the lake too. We have never seen a large crappie over 2 ponds before. Thanks to the owner Victor and his people who gave us the opportunity to have such wonderful times. It will definitely be on our list for a future vacation stay!

The house is very spacious, beautifully maintained and very clean. there is a huge den to watch TV and plenty of room for babies to crawl. We were also very impressed with the owner's efficiency and politeness. Definitely recommend it!
