Thank you for a wonderful place to stay! Moved to Alaska from Montana and needed a place for a few months before committing long-term. This Cottage made the transition so nice, and helped me focus on other aspects of my new home. Thanks for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for this great place. Everything what we needed was here. We spent the daytime with our grandson and slept the nights here in this peaceful cottage. Tomorrow we go back to Finland, but next time when we come to Alaska to visit our daughter and her family, we would like to come to this cottage again.Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I stayed for a week in this very nice cottage. It was cozy yet very open, extremely convenient to exploring Anchorage. We found the cottage to be very clean, bright, cheerful and comfortable, well equipped kitchen and nice furnishings. The pictures tell the story. Michele thank you for your lovely cottage and kindness. We will be back.Owner response: It is always my intention that your stay in either of my GuestHouses is as pleasant an experience as possible! I look forward to having you return to either the one bedroom Cottage or two bedroom Duben Place. Best regards, Michele.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to Alaska in 1998 to work in Deadhorse-Prudhoe Bay, in the Arctic on the Beaufort Sea. I quickly became enchanted with this beautiful place we call Alaska! If you love the outdoors, this is the place!
Why the Owner Chose Anchorage:
I purchased this duplex in 2002 along with two more, and made four of the units, fully furnished guesthouses. Since then I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world to our city nestled between Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The convenience of being near to downtown and midtown, the Seward Hisghway heading south and the Glenn Highway heading north, make this a perfect location to get out and experience Anchorage and nearby attractions. The two cottages in the back are only one of two in all of Anchorage. Built in 1951 to accommodate personnel at the first airstrip, Merrill Field, they have been completely renovated in the past couple years, and the Cottage is now quite cute and comfortable.
