The open plan living/dining area has a 42' plasma TV, ceiling fans, lots of windows, and a large dining table that can accomodate six. The well-equipped kitchen is open to the living area and has a range, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, lobster pot, plenty of pantry room, and a washer/dryer. This was the perfect rental for our New England adventure. The house was beautiful, clean, nicely appointed, and best of all, within view of the wonderful Lane's Cove. The hosts were gracious and helpful with everything. When the area lost electricity temporarily, they were there with flashlights. We would go back to this place anytime. Liz and Albert were so nice. Thanks to them for a wonderful place to vacation with our granddaughters.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Our return visit!! As usual, we loved it. Thanks Steve for all you did for us, from getting lobsters to building that extra picnic table - It was awesome!! Our friends couldn't believe it. Enjoyed our talks and fun banter!! Lanesville wouldn't be the same without you. Again, many thanks - hope to see you next year. Tom and MargaretDid you find this review helpful? We had a fantastic two weeks. Our son Tyler (2 years old) started calling this place "the special house." We couldn't agree more! He loved your red jeep, and he didn't want to "make Steve sad" by playing with things he wasn't supposed to. He did his best. We had a blast! Thank you.Did you find this review helpful? We had a fantastic May week here and would return in September if it were available... The house was wonderful and everything that we needed to feel like we were at home was provided... The rooms are of good size and the layout makes for good "get out of my face, I need my own space" alone time... TV's in all the rooms... The Cape Ann area was fun to explore... Rockport, Essex, Manchester, Beverly, and Newberryport... Salem was a nice day trip to see the REM art museum... Had great fried clams at Woodman's in Essex with it's many antique shops to explore... It's an easy drive into Boston and all it's tourist attractions and activities... Steve's hospitality and friendly laugh will be remembered for a long time... Our future travels will definitely include a return to this area and this terrific home away from home...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Steve and Barbara, This place far exceeded our expectations! You guys thought of everything and all the details were taken care of on our vacation. The place is in a prime location as well - we spent time in Salem, Boston, Rockport, Gloucester, etc. (highly recommended: Virgilio's Bakery in Gloucester) Thanks for everything - we will be back!Did you find this review helpful?
