Why the Owner Chose Orleans
We vacationed in Orleans for many years and fell in love with this quintessential Cape town and home -- offering great access to the Cape's natural beauty and full array of recreational and sports activities, excellent foods and restaurants, fun shopping, museums, theatre, music, etc. appealing to different ages and tastes. We were lucky to find this unique private unspoiled street and hilltop setting so we could create an attractive, well furnished family home and garden to return to year after year and share with our growing family and renters who appreciate these special qualities.
Owner's Map of Orleans
The owners live in Washington, D.C., but have vacationed for years on Cape Cod before buying this home. The husband was born in Boston, went to MIT and Boston, and his family, including daughter, live in nearby Boston towns, including Concord and Dedham. This is a family home they enjoy during part of the summer and off season, including Thanksgiving, so the house renovations are architect designed and furnishings are carefully selected to be attractive, airy, comfortable, and easily maintained.

“As always, it was great to arrive on Uncle Vick’s Way. The kids especially had been looking forward to it and weren’t disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised to discover wireless access. The new air conditioner in the bedroom was a big plus too. The plants looked much healthier and prettier than last summer when it was pretty dry. The birds were healthy too and we enjoyed watching them a lot.” (2 week stay, third season)
