Why the Owner Chose Hull Bay
It was my excellent fortune that my brother was local realtor when this lot came on the market in 1984. He called me as soon as he saw it and said I had to see it. Purchased in 1984, design and construction were not completed until 1995.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Unlike most of the waterfront villas in the Virgin Islands, this property has ample parking inside the gated drive and a level entrance. You park your car just outside the main entrance. Views of the ocean and local islands and keys from inside the villa are superb. The villa has an automatic backup generator and a wind turbine. You will love it.

We so enjoyed this villa. The decor and setting were beautiful. It is filled with wonderful artwork. After going to St. Thomas, I really think it's the best location on the island. We were two adults with four teenagers and found it to be very conducive to our needs. We cooked in every night. The kitchen was well-appointed and Caryl Ann stocked the kitchen with food for us. I would not recommend it for very small children however. Really a place to get away from it all.

My family and I went on a last minute vacation. We were unbelieveably fortunate to come upon this property. The beautiful home was in pristine condition. The accomodations were flawless. We have 3 older children (20,17,17) and they all had their own space to retreat to at various times during the week. Each one of them gave this home and location VERY high praise. We were so relaxed at night with the sounds of ocean waves crashing on the rocks right outside our door. This was the perfect retreat to take a time out from our busy lives. Thank You John!! We will be back!!!

Casa del Mar is very beautiful and comfortable. We saw many pelicans flying past the balconies off every room. We had our two grown children and our 10 month old granddaughter with us and we were all able to have our own space. The roads are quite rustic, twisty and turny, but all places we wanted to visit were only a short drive from the villa. The pool isn't heated so we were only able to use it one day. The hot tub was nice and heated up quickly. The Northside Bistro is only a 10 minute drive from the house and very good. I wouldn't recommend the Hull Bay Hideway for food but a great place to have a drink with the locals.

What a magical week we had staying at Casa Del Mar! The villa is exquisite with breathtaking views and fabulous accomodations (4 couples resided very comfortably; private space plus room to all be together). The highlight of the week was a specially prepared dinner by chef Nina White, recommended by the John, the owner. Memories to last a lifetime...

This is an absolutely wonderful villa! The pictures are accurate, but the home is so much more than what you see. It is very well appointed, and has absolutely everything provided that a family or group of friends need to make it your home for a week or longer.We visited several other rentals on the island, and I believe we chose the best. This home is suitable for someone with mobility problems, as we were able to park at the front door, there was only one step into the house, and then the main living area and a master bedroom are all on one level. We felt very safe and secure in this location, and liked the privacy of being at the end of the road and behind closed gates. The owner is very nice to work with, the villa is a wonderful, relaxing place to call home, and the views are awesome. We didn't want to leave! I highly recommend this villa to someone who wants a quiet, secluded get-away. We definitely hope to return for another vacation at Casa del Mar!
