Situation:
The villa is situated in de very quiet and safe neighbourhood of 'Grote Berg' (Big Mountain). Many guests appreciate the very central location on Curacao as you can reach the very beautiful city center of Willemstad (Otrobanda and Punda) and the most beautiful beaches such as Daaibooi, Porto Mari and Cas Abao in just 10-15 minutes.
As the name indicates, the villa is located a little bit elevated (about 75 meters/250 feet above sea-level) which allows the gentle breeze of the north east tradewind to create a kind of comfortable micro climate to this part of the island. You could even sleep without air conditioning if you like!
The villa is close to many other amenities: a very well equipped supermarket, medical facilities and other shops are only a short five-minute drive away from the villa.
Kas ku Palma: The Villa
The name (in Papiamentu language: House with palms) indicates already what you may expect: very lush surroundings and a tropical garden with many palm trees.This gives you the right holiday-feeling at arrival already!
The villa has five bedrooms which makes it perfectly suitable for up to 10 people. The villa is situated on a spacious lot of 940 meters square (about 10,000 sq ft) and is very roomy inside (360 square meters living space, about 3900 square feet). This gives you a lot of living space, inside and outside. The giant porch (terrace) makes it possible to find a sunny or shade place all time of the day. The lovely Private Swimming Pool with separate children’s part cools you off whenever you like.
Lower level
The lower level offers a spacious living room and a large kitchen with all the appliances you are used to at home (dishwasher, stove, micro wave, double door fridge with ice dispenser, toaster, blender, coffee machine etc.). Several doors leads to the porch. Furthermore there is a room with a washing and drying machine you are free to use.
On the lower floor there are three bedrooms, on the first floor the two other bedrooms (total of five). In the living room there is a 43" wide screen TV (with about 60 satellite channels, among them several US prime channels), a DVD-player (you can bring your own or use the DVD-library in the villa).
The three bedrooms on the lower level are very spacious and have enough closets to store your personal belongings.
First floor:
The two extra bedrooms on the first floor are spacious too. One of them leads to a balcony overlooking the area around the villa. All the beds are newly installed (July 2006) and are box-spring type beds which are very comfortable.
Both bathrooms (one on ground floor, one on first floor) are luxury and spacious. There isa toilet, large shower and basin. The bathroom on the first floor is even more luxureus as it offers a large round bathtub and a bidet. A large walk in closet completes the first floor.
All bedrooms have split level air conditioners which do their job in silence to provide you a good nights’ rest. But, as the villa is on a good location, you may prefer to sleep without and let the gentle tradewind cool your room.
Around the villa:
On the spacious porch you will find the free form pool with separated part for your children, so they can play in the pool safely. The safety of your children is important to us, so we also installed a fence between the porch and the pool area. It gives you a safe feeling while your children are playing.
At the roofed part of the porch you will find the large BBQ, enough garden furniture (chairs and tables) and for every guest a comfortable beach chair. For your convenience there are also facilities like an outdoor full bathroom and rinsing facilities for your dive gear available.
