The Villas El Parque in Manuel Antonio were beyond our greatest expectations. The villas are quaintly tucked away in the rain forest. We stayed in #15 and the view of the water and forest were amazing. Every morning I would wake up, grab a cup of coffee, sit in the most comfortable hammock in the world, and watch monkeys and other wild life play amongst the canopies. The upstairs bedroom is a dream. The bed faces the balcony with doors that open up for the view. The shower is spacious and has windows that overlook the ocean. The downtairs has a full kitchen with coffee maker. The bedroom has two comfortable queen size beds. There are also padded benches near the downstairs balcony of which can also be used for a place to rest your head. The area is beautiful and well priced. There are many activities to do in Manuel Antonio as well as Quepos. My husband and I went white water rafting and it ranked in the top 5 things I've ever done. There is also a well secluded beach within walking distance of the villas. Overall I would rate my stay a 9.5 out of 10. The accomodations exceeded my expectations. The villas aren't a cushy 5 star hotel with maid service and cabana boys, but that is NOT what I want or expect when staying in a rain forest. #15 was comfortable, spacious, and well maintained. If I was going to live in Costa Rica I would want to live in these villas. It truly felt like a home in the rain forest. We even had gecko porch pets that would entertain us in the evenings. My husband and I will be returning to villa #15 in a couple of months and I've already started a countdown due to my excitement!! OHH, and did I mention that there is a sloth that has made his home by the pool. His name is George and he is FANTASTIC and a joy to watch!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I stayed at this property in mid-March! Let me first say this...its a long drive from the San Jose airport, but when you pull up to this property and see the view you will be amazed! The unit is perfect for what I was looking for. It was located in the heart of town. You can walk everywhere you need to be in 5-10 minutes. The unit was clean! Well equiped! The pool was perfect! If you have never been to Costa Rica, you are missing the boat! The weather in March is AWESOME! There are monkeys, sloths, and cool looking birds everywhere. The food in this country is great!!! If you are having any second thoughts about staying at this unit, I hope this puts you over the edge to book. The owners of the condo are great, and so is the manger David! The only complaint I have is the ice melts quick! So either drink fast or buy lots! Pura Vida :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We found this place on line and after emailing with the owner we felt comfortable enough to spend a week. It was effortless, their on site manager met us with the keys and we were off and running. We spent the 1st day just lounging at the pool and cold tub and sipping cocktails. We asked the manager for suggestions on supper and he suggested Ronny's Place just down the road. The food was great and the sunset was magical. Not sure if there is another spot anywhere with such amazing sunsets. The next day we went to the rain forest and did the zipline, got back early afternoon and hit the beach with a cooler full of cold ones. Well rather than go through all 7 days, lets just say it was perfect every day. The villa was clean, fresh linens and towels every day, blenders for magical drinks, great a/c which is NEEDED... Damn at 95 every day and 80's in the night it's great to cool down. We'd give it a thumbs up and have already been in contact with the owner to return next February.....Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Wow . . .I just returned from a stay at this villa. I had a wonderful and relaxing visit and am already scheming about how to get back again!! To start off with, I was pleasantly surprised because the place is actually nicer than the pictures as all the decor has been updated recently and looks brand new!! The view from the front porch/balcony is amazing. (I can't say enough about this!!!) The view alone made this place worth it for me!! (And we did see monkeys in the treetops right down from our balcony!!) Luckily, everything else was nice too. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities. And if you don't want to cook there are plenty of restaurants within close walking distance---the location is great. (We ate at Cafe Azul, Barba Roja, Sanchos, and Cafe Milagro -- all were only a few steps away and each was excellent!!) Another big plus is that the public bus stop is super close and makes getting to the beach a breeze (only about 50 cents each way!) (It is only a short bus ride-- you can walk down in about 20 minutes, but in the heat I felt like it was 50 cents well spent!!) The beach inside the National Park is one of the prettiest in all of Costa Rica. Well worth the trip! There is also Wi Fi--the signal is strongest on the balcony--which came in very handy!! You should know that there are actually two units within this listing. The actual price depends on if you choose to have just one bedroom or two---and if one--if you want it with or without the kitchen, etc. There are a lot more helpful details about this with all the updated pricing info on the owner's website: http://www.costaricabeachvilla.com I received quick and very helpful responses to all of my inquires via Paul. And the owner has an onsite manager, Dave, who is very helpful once you arrive. I would not hesitate to recommend this to friends and family. If you are looking for a clean and homey feeling place to stay with a great view, this is it. (I should add that I had a car but left it parked during my stay (easier to walk or take the bus). The car remained safe in the parking area in front of the on-site restaurant.)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Upon arrival we were met by David, who is so gracious and helpful. He brought us to our unit and showed us around and gave us tons of great information. The photo on this rental is spot on. You never know how accurate things are sometimes but we were floored by the amazing views and patio as soon as we walked in. All I can say is wow! The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and clean. There is a housekeeper that comes in every other day to supply fresh sheets and towels if need be. Our stay here was very comfortable and hard to leave. You are within walking distance of many restaurants. The national park and the beach are a hike but there is a great bus system if you don't have a car. We highly recommend this condo!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa complex in March, 2008. We can't say enough about the Villa, it's location and views. The local people are just wonderful and there are many nearby attractions. I would highly recommend the Villas El Parque for a vacation destination!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
