There is no better way to live on an island! Enjoy year-round swimming in the comfort of the brand-new chilled or heated pool and hot tub. The downstairs full bath is very convenient, as is the refrigerator and barbeque grill. It is like staying at a resort with the added privacy and space of your own house AT A BETTER PRICE!!
The house is tastefully decorated in traditional island style. The boating canal, complete with 60 feet of boat dockage, provides quick easy access to world-renowned fishing. There is also covered filet station--complete with fresh water and electric. The master bedroom has a King bed. The other upstairs bedroom has two twin beds. Its a great set up for two families that want to share because the downstairs bedroom sleeps four with one queen and two twins.
This bedroom with private entry has a small fridge inside, T V and its own A/C. It also has at full bathroom right next to it which is just a few steps from the pool and hot tub. There are two other full size refrigerators and a bait freezer. All of that fridge and freezer space allows for less time shopping for food and more time relaxing, fishing, snorkeling, lobstering etc. no low bridges to clear and youre just one minute to the open water.
World renound Looe Key Reef for snorkeling / scuba is less than an hour from the house (a fast boat can be there in 30 mins.) If you read a few books about fishing the lower Keys, youre sure to read about the Famous Bahia Honda bridge / beach. It just a 10 to 15 minute boat ride from the house. A CREW FROM THE IN - FISHERMAN T V SHOW STAYED AT THIS HOUSE IN APRIL 2007 WHILE THEY TAPED A TARPON FISHING SHOW AT THE BAHIA HONDA BRIDGE!!
You will not have trouble finding the No Name Pub from this house! This famous restaurant, a favorite of the locals, is in walking distance. On your walk, you can also stroll across the No Name bridge where you will most likely see a sting ray, shark or other sea creature (not to mention the beautiful open water view). For finer dining in a casual "Keys" atmosphere, the Square Grouper located on Cudjoe Key is a must! The food is delicious and it is only a 15-minute drive south. Bike riding is another great way to check out the island.
Nature lovers can take a five-minute drive to the Blue Hole. There you can observe wildlife such as birds, fish, turtles, and deer. The GATOR that lives there may even pop his head up to say hello! Drive anywhere on Big Pine and you are sure to see the little Key Deer that we are so famous for.
Bahia Honda State Park, which boasts one of the top ten beaches in the country, is only a 10-minute drive/boat ride. The house is just 5 minutes from the Winn Dixie shopping center. Shopping in Marathon is only a half-hour drive north. Shopping, beaches, restaurants, and nightlife in Key West is only a 45-minute drive south. This house has the best of both worlds--enjoy the hustle and bustle of Key West and then return to the peace and tranquility of Big Pine! |
