Our group of 4 spent a week here and it was wonderful--everything is up to date, very clean, well stocked with essentials and in the perfect location to experience all of Reykjavik. You can always find your way home because it's one block from the tallest building in Iceland! There's a grocery market across the street and all the shopping and restaurants are in walking distance. Mark was very quick in responding to our questions and very professional. We have already talked about visiting again and would stay here in a heart beat if it were available!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment exceeded our expectations and is one of our favorite rental apartments, ever. It is bright, spacious, and the location could not be better. The furniture and kitchen equipment (mostly from IKEA) are of a higher standard than most rental apartments--The knives in the kitchen are even sharp! This was the perfect place for our family of two kids and two parents to stay. Mark (the owner) is highly responsive and the entire transaction could not have gone more smoothly. Unlike other apartments we have rented in Europe, all amenities are provided for (towels, sheets, detergent--even converters for charging cell phones and other electronic devices. Booking and arrangement of payment was simple and fast, we paid by PayPal. Mark responded promptly to all enquires. We are a family with a toddler and a baby. When we arrived there were two cots set up, two highchairs with plates, cups, cutlery and bibs. The flat was clean, comfortable, well stocked with good amenities. The flat is located in the centre of Reykjavik, there is a mini supermarket across the road and it is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We stayed at The Red House for 5 days. Overall, our experience has been excellent. The house itself is very clean and spacious for the 4 of us who stayed.
