Come to the Berkshires to enjoy music, theater and art, foliage, mountains, rivers and skiing--downhill and cross-country. Reserve now! Stay in a charming,quaint cottage in the village of Housatonic in the town of Great Barrington in the Massachusettes Berkshires.

We have to work so that we can afford to retire here. You can come and use our cottage when we can't be here. Our cottage is on the side of Monument Mountain which is wonderful for the beauty and the breezes. At night you can hear the Housatonic River rushing by down the hill. There is air conditioning on both floors although it is rarely needed.

The rooms are large and comfy. Come and enjoy scenic views, along with peace and quiet in our charming cottage at the very end of a small dead-end road. Walk into the village where you will find many art studios and see the Housatonic River winding by. You can also walk further up the mountain to a lookout and get a wonderful bird's eye view of the village from Flag rock.

The cottage is two-story with a good-sized enclosed porch in the front which opens into a large living room. The oversized kitchen is to the rear of the living room with a half bath on this level. There is also an open and a closed porch on the side of the house with brick work leading to the front and side of the house.
A deck holds outdoor eating facilities and a grill.

Upstairs, there is a large full bath, a large bedroom, and a small bedroom. In the basement, there is a large, sunny family room with a futon and lots of space for games and family fun. There is another half bath on this level.

Fire up the grill, relax and enjoy. (dogs allowed, no cats due to an allergy)

Security Deposit of $500 Returned Within Four Weeks with No Damage.
Winter Rates:  October 1 through May 15.
Winter Weekly Rates .. $ 600/one week, Sun 2:00 PM to next Sun. 11:00 AM
Other winter Rates .. $1000/two weeks ..  $1800/one month.
