Paradise Found is located in a secluded native fishing village, at the east end of the island, but is close enough to Freeport, to enjoy the casino nightlife and other fun tours! You will come away from your vacation wishing you did not have to leave.

    Anthony, I have chosen to not show the negative comments on purpose. My opinion is that I just can't please all types of people. For this reason some of the concerns were absoloutely ridiculous & unworthy to mention. The fact that you see so many positive comments throughout the years should tell you that the largest percentage of my renters are thrilled with my property & their vacation. We have been actively renting since 2002 & even before that. Five negative comments over 6 years, I think is pretty good odds, don't you?!!!

  • PARADISE FOUND AT PELICAN POINT ANNIE, I wanted to write and let you know what a WONDERFUL time we had at your home in Pelican Point. Arranging the ride(s) with Rev. Laing worked perfectly, even with our flight arriving 2 hours late. Your home is welcoming and beautiful and comfortable, and from the minute we walked in we were "at home". Per your suggestion we brought most of our food from home and after the quick stop in town were set for the week, except for the occasional run for ice to Smitty's, WOW $6.50 a bag was a surprise. Your ice machine on the fridge wasn't working I'm afraid. We visited Mcleans Town and later in the week contacted Cap't Phil there, to take us on a 4 hr. snorkeling adventure which was fantastic. What a wonderful man, to be so patient with us as we had a few first timers. I think he laughed at/with us as much as we did ourselves, trying to get the gear on. We found Bishops and he made us a "mean" Bahama Mama and we enjoyed wonderful conch fritters from across the street. We met some of your neighbors on the beach, Darren (with 2 r's), Sister Roberts and all her daughters. One of the daughters, Ali made us a delicious fish and conch meal one evening and even delivered it to us. A few nights later she also sent a mouth watering loaf of fresh from her oven bread over to us. I think she liked exchanging those for all the chocolates we had an abundance of. :) Mid week we finally forced ourselves to leave the tranquility of our Paradise and ventured into Port Lucaya to the Straw Market for a day of shopping and playing tourists. Believe me it was a pleasure to leave the congestion, traffic and noise and return to Pelican Point !! Just so you know, I think we made a good size dent in the conch & shell population up and down the beach !! We each brought back our favorites and per the locals made some good finds. Mary found an in tact King shell and I discovered a spider conch shell and a Sea Razor shell. Upon leaving we contacted Natalie regarding left over food that we thought she and the Rev. may want, as opposed to throwing it out. She agreed very happily to take anything we wanted to leave, hence we did leave the fridge with food inside. We did launder all the sheets and towels and swept the place clean, as well as wiping down both bathrooms and hosing off the porch of sand. Natalie seemed quite pleased with the little bit of clean up we had left for her. We would LOVE to return to Pelican Point and will be thinking of it for a very long time with the fondest of memories. Thank you and Jody for sharing your "Slice of Heaven".   • My family and I got to spend 2007 Christmas at your wonderful home called Paradise Found. It is one of the most incredible, unspoiled, beautiful places I have been to. One day we saw 7 dolphis right off the beach at the house. We found an octopus in a tide pool at low tide. The people were wonderful too....we had Carlene cook us several dinners that were all terrific. The guys found a great bonefishing guild named Perry from the next town. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven. We really loved it.

  • Looking for a special get away to rest & relax with our family Pelican Pointe provided us with the perfect spot of beauty & serenity. There were 4 couples (siblings & spouses) from Central NY & South Florida simply hanging out visiting & enjoying our very special time together. The warmth & beauty was just perfect for my brother in between his Chemotherapy treatments. He felt like a new man. Caretakers Rev Laing & his wife Natalie were ever so helpful with anything we needed or just wanted to know. Delightful couple. Thank you Annie & Jodi

  • My family recently returned from our best vacation experience thanks to Jodie and Annie Kelly. Their home is the nicest in the Pelecan Point area and boasts its own private beach, one of the best on the island. Terri and I were joined by our mothers, my daughter, and one of her friends. Without exception, everyone had a great time with swimming with the dolphins, parasailing, horseback riding (in the ocean), and best of all relaxing in a private tropical environment. The caretaker, Rev. Laing, helped temendously with the logistics and provided a friendly face on the ground. Thanks again for a great vacation....we look forward to a return visit in the near future.---Jim & Terri

  • I have a certain amount of healthy paranoia about internet rentals: will reality be anything like the net? In this instance it was even better than advertised. We spent a week and a half with a crew ranging from 87 to 15 and all had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and allows privacy. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped. The beach is gorgeous and pretty much deserted. The sunrises were among the most gorgeous that I have seen. The adjacent caretaker, a minister, is a remarkable human being. It really could not have been any nicer. Please call or email if we can tell you about the place.

  • what a wonderful home you have in paradise, Bill is a great fishing guide, and we took your advice and had a local cook prepare us a Bahamian meal, her coconut pie desert is sinful, and of course calorie free !!,..my guests came from the UK, AUSTRALIA and the USA, and all still rave on the wonderful time we all spent together, we look forward to returning ,,thank you for making our vacation a very special one,,,,best wishes and many thanks once again,,,,,,,,,m hatch

  • If you are looking for a perfect vacation spot away from all the hubbub, this is it. We searched all winter on the internet for a place to take a very special vacation and chose Paradise Found. We wanted a place where we could unwind and live life at our own pace, yet offer our teenagers the fun that they desired as well. Paradise Found offered that unique blend of activity and rest that left everyone totally content. Our greatest amusement was watching each day as little hermit crabs absconded with the latest shells retrieved from the beach. And how fun it was to troll fish! We're still wondering what took off with my bait on a 50# test line! The yellow-tailed snapper was delicious for dinner. We took Annie's advice and brought a cooler with dry ice and some of our favorites. On return, it brought some of our catch for the week. All in all, we would recommend Jody and Annie's house. It really was paradise. By the way, Annie, we've had a few friends ask for details after seeing the pictures. They'll probably be calling.

  • An absolutely beautiful and well equipped house in a quiet, secluded, scenic, and VERY friendly little community. The beaches are spectacular, and the peace & quiet are addictive...... a week was not enough, and we didn't want to leave! We will surely rent this lovely "Paradise" again. (A word to the wise: be sure to stock up on perishable/consumable supplies on the way from the airport to Pelican Point; it's an hour's drive back to the Winn-Dixie if you forget anything!)
